Hartattack Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Hey all, Does anyone know of any video or voice recording stories of healing? I like to watch and hear people who have been through it as it really gives me so much hope. It helps to have that human connection and makes it seem so much more tangible to me. Thank you so much. Zoloft: 2013- 2015, 50mg; 2016- 2016, 100mg; 2017- 2017, 250mg Prozac: 2018- 2019, 40mg; 2019- Christmas 2020, 80mg tapered down to 0mg over the course of 6 months.
Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted December 3, 2022 Moderator Emeritus Posted December 3, 2022 (edited) Yes. This is a great idea, as many of us are visual and auditory learners! Please be aware that many of these people did not taper correctly, and some recovered very quickly. This is not meant to be advice on how to taper, or suggest how long your recovery may take. The Lovely Grind Channel videos on Youtube owner of channel talks about his recovery from 15 years of Paxil and Xanax. Antidepressant Withdrawal and Recovery Story by Kackie Not fully recovered, but mostly recovered, and living a normal life now. Antidepressant Withdrawal Success Story by Gemma This woman did a fast taper, but she had only ever been on one drug for a year. Please don't do a fast taper, it is very risky. Amanda's Antidepressant and Withdrawal Experience This guy recovered from Celexa in just a month, but was on one drug for a rather short time. Read his comment, he is still doing well 10 years later. Angry Duck Recovery Story This guy also recovered quickly. BooBoo19 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 (edited) Hello @Hartattack CEPUK has videos of survivors and withdrawal advisors you can watch, I have watched them and gives me hope in my darkest of times. Baylissa also has a website that you can join that has recorded interviews with those who have survived and is very inspirational. This is the link to the CEPUK recovery videos: http://cepuk.org/recovery-stories/ Edited December 5, 2022 by getofflex added link to CEPUK video 2 Started venlafaxine December 2016. Started to wean off Effexor over 16 months period and I had no issues at all. Stopped June 2020. Unfortunately, I was under chronic stress from 4 deaths (1 was my mother) in the family amongst other things and sunk back down in October 2020. Rather than accepting this was chronic stress and grief, I panicked and went to the GP. October 2020 prescribed Vortioxetine 10mg for 1 month and then increased to 15 mg ups advice from GP on for 7 weeks in total. Had suicidal thoughts and off the wall anxiety. Changed to Lexapro in mid December 2020, slow titration from 2.5mg up to 10mg. After 7 weeks again off the wall anxiety. I was advised to take 5mg for one week and stop as I want to go 'au natural'. Last SSRI was 30 January 2021. I was also prescribed diazepam and Zopiclone through the 4 months of taking SSRis to 'manage' the side effects and also for the withdrawal. I am probably withdrawing from all drugs.
