Najla Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Did I contract Covid-19 at some point? You may not believe this old article from 2021.. I was drawn to the similarity of the symptoms that we suffer from prolonged withdrawal, with the long-term symptoms of patients with Covid and its effect on the brain, fogginess, continuous fatigue, and the inability to practice life normally, So some of us may suffer for more than one reason if he is infected with Covid 19 and is also in a state of withdrawal https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20210609-how-long-will-long-covid-last June 2019- June 2022 Amitriptyline for migraines, came off June 15, 2022 CT. greyinmotion Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I have long Covid (caught it first time this year April). Quote So some of us may suffer for more than one reason if he is infected with Covid 19 and is also in a state of withdrawal I agree that it's a double whammy. Long Covid symptoms may be mixed up with withdrawal symptoms or worsen it. There's an article by NYT that says long Covid symptoms could be due to reduced serotonin levels. And there are plans for trials using Prozac and Tryptophan to see if it helps this. It gets really confusing to try to determine what’s what, esp if you’re female btw 35-55, because so little info is out there about perimenopause. But it’s a stage where lots of women go on antidepressants. i think best to stick w safe tapering schedule and follow Claire Weekes advice which covers all the bases in a way.
