zack
Hello everyone! I'm glad to be part of this community. I would like to share some information about my medication history and ask a few questions. English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes. In June 2020, my psychiatrist prescribed Zoloft (50mg), Abilify (10mg), and Zyprexa (5mg) for depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, I tapered off Zoloft too quickly and developed PSSD. Now, I take Zyprexa and Abilify. I started tapering off Zyprexa using the liquid method on my own in March 2024, but I don't think the drug distributes evenly in the water. I can't find Ora-plus where I live. Can you recommend an alternative? Should I use a regular tablet or an orodispersible tablet when preparing the liquid? Finally, is it possible to taper two antipsychotics at the same time? Thank you! 2015 - 2017 olanzapine 2018 - 2020 escitalopram, aripiprazole , metoprolol 2020 - 2022 sertraline 2020 - 2024 olanzapine, aripiprazole 2024 olanzapine 16 Mar 4.5mg 13 Apr 4.1mg Link to comment

Why do you think it doesn't distribute evenly in water? Many members, myself included, have been tapering from Zyprexa using the water titration method. A regular tablet should be fine to use when preparing a liquid but how are you preparing it today? We recommend only tapering one medication at a time so if symptoms arise, it is easy to identify the cause. zack
Hi, thank you for your reply, FireflyFyte. I am currently using regular tablets. After stirring the mixture, I see that the particles quickly sink to the bottom. I wasn't sure if I was taking the correct dose. 2015 - 2017 olanzapine 2018 - 2020 escitalopram, aripiprazole , metoprolol 2020 - 2022 sertraline 2020 - 2024 olanzapine, aripiprazole 2024 olanzapine 16 Mar 4.5mg 13 Apr 4.1mg Link to comment

This is just filler and can be ignored. As long as you are stirring the mixture well, the dose should be even.
