In this video, Laura Delano, psychiatric survivor, activist, and founder of Inner Compass Initiative and The Withdrawal Project, shares her story of being patiented, psychiatritized, misdiagnosed, and polydrugged from the age of 13 and for the next 14 years.

At age 27, Delano got off the drugs and consequently went into severe withdrawal for years. She has long since healed and now leads a full life, and remains dedicated to educating about safe tapering practices and the possibilities of post-psychiatric care.

Delano is currently working on a memoir, slated for publication in Fall 2024.
