Designgirl732
Hey guys! I went to see a new psychologist who is also a nutritionist who also used to work in a mental health facility and in the pharma industry who owns a local healthstore and sees patients at his store. My goal was to have a 'plan' in place once i'm completely weaned off of my citalopram. He also has a heart math machine in his office and is a 'heart math trainer' - if you've seen the documentary "I AM" the star of the movie goes to this heart math headquarters. Anyway, I'm going to start taking this Choline-he advises me against anything St John's Wort/5-htp related because based on how i reacted to both AD's, serotonin may not be my issue, in fact it may be too stimulating. I never heard of this but the more I look into it, it sounds like it reacts to a different neurotransmitter that is more focused on anxiety/racing thoughts/obsessive processing that is my main issue. It's amazing that this man got to know me more in an hour than my psychiatrist who hands out pills like they're candy.http://www.forbes.com/sites/melaniehaiken/2013/01/16/a-key-brain-boosting-supplement-youve-never-heard-of/ The next step is to wean off of my diazepam and replace it with L-Theanine but I may start that once i'm done with citalopram although he said I could start tonight. (instead of my 5 mg, take 2.5 mg and 2 L-theanine) but i'm not sure i'm ready for that yet. Here's info on the heartmath - i'm going to do 2 weeks of training on that with him after i'm done weaning off citalopram. http://www.heartmath.com/about/company-information.htmllet me know what you guys think! nick1990
Hi all. So i have befriended a women who's son has been having epileptic fits, 200 times a week for 15 years. No conventional treatment has helped, nothing, nada. She detoxed him on an organic diet, incorporating Cannabis Oil. He has not had a single seizure in 23 months. This women recently started up a medicinal food program here in NZ and i told her my story. She gives her son a few tablespoons of sunflower lecithin most days and if he is shaky at it, it calms him. She says it is to heal his Central Nervous System. She has told me i should really consider taking it, and ill give it a go as I am stable enough with my WD process. I was just wondering if anyone has any insight into the product? From what i can find online, it is very good for the CNS. Nick Started Citalopram in 2005 (aged 15) for apparent "OCD" - 60mg July 2015 attempted 2 x 10% + cuts 4 weeks apart. WD symptoms intense at times. Need to slow down. November 2016 - Resumed taper. 1.25 - 1.5% decrease weekly approx. 44.5mg November 2016. Jan 2017 42.5 mg. March 2017 40 mg. June 2017 37mg. September 2018 22mg. Nov 2018 Holding at 22mg to stabilise from moderate wave. January 2020 - Holding, mostly feeling fine, but still having some waves at times. February 2020 - Resumed taper , 1.5% reduction weekly/every two weeks.

Crochet
In 2023 I started taking high dose fish oil supplements and wheat germ oil. Within a week, I stopped waking up with fear moving through my body. This would happen during the night-time and upon waking in the morning. It was such a relief to not experience intense fear every day! Recently, I decided to try to dropping wheat germ oil and the waking fear came back. I think I might just stay on this supplement for the rest of my life! Anyway, I wondered why it had such an impact, so I did some looking. I'm undergoing something called the shoemaker protocol to treat chronic inflammatory response syndrome and came across this lecture on youtube: CIRS: Biotoxin Treatment Protocol - An Integrative Model (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dPNjLhe2OY&t=684s) There is a slide that speaks to Neurolipid Therapy: “Phosphatidylcholine - repairs outer membrane and double lipid bilayer of mitochondria 1.8 grams BID Balance Oil 7:1 ratio Omega 6/3 - improve membrane fluidity Butyrate - SCFA beta oxidation of abnormal and long chain fats to ‘burn off’ from membrane Wheat Germ Oil - contains structural lipids to strengthen membrane" It sounds like Phosphatidylcholine and other supplements help to repair and strengthen cell membranes. There are communities out their doing this kind of therapy. I've seen it referred to as lipid replacement therapy, phospholipid therapy, and plasmalogen therapy. I've heard there are some facebook groups, but I haven't had a chance to check them out. I was already taking omegas 6's and 3's, wheat germ oil and butyrate, so I decided to add Phosphatidylcholine since they all have different functions. My sleep has improved. I used to wake up frequently in the middle of the night and then spend an hour or two before falling back asleep. I now still wake up in the middle of the night, but fall back to sleep easily. I currently take: Omaprem (green lipid mussel) - 2 capsules twice per day Biomega 500 - 3 capsules once per day Standard Process Wheat Germ Oil - 1 capsule twice per day BodyBio Sodium Butyrate - 1 capsule twice per day BodyBio PC (Phosphatidylcholine) - 1/2 teaspoon twice per day Hoping this info might help someone as much as it helped me! 1 2012-present - Escitalopram currently 2.55 mg Supplements: Daytime- Green Lipped Mussel 1200mg, Omega-3s 1710mg, Wheat Germ Oil 770mg, Sodium Butyrate 1.2g, Phosphatidylcholine 2600mg, Multi-Min 2 tablets, Liposomal Glutathione 4 pumps, Probiotic 1 capsule, Beyond Balance herbal tinctures for lyme and gut healing (including one only taken during menstruation); Nighttime - L-theanine 200mg, melatonin 1mg, magnesium glycinate 400mg. History: 2012-2017- Escitalopram 10mg 2017-2020 - Escitalopram 5mg 07/2019-11/2019 - Valium 10mg, every 2-3 days, then stopped 11/2020 - Stopped Escitalopram 5mg abruptly (crashed January 2021) 1/2021-12/2021 - Escitalopram Reinstated 2.5mg to 5 to 10 to 7.5 and then started slow taper 1/2021-2/2021 - Ativan .5mg - Took 13.5 pills over the course of 22 days and stopped 2/2021-9/2021 Hydroxyzine - 50-100mg tapering down to .8mg, then cross-tapered to Claritin and stopped 9/2021-9/2022 - Claritin 5 mg (tapered off)
