GiaK Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Sounds and tones have really been helping me lately. I encourage people to experiment. I've only posted the first bit of this post here on this site because it's too complicated to transfer all the soundcloud files...so follow the link to the original post if you're interested in more -- http://wp.me/p5nnb-axe A new theme on Beyond Meds has recently emerged as I learn to use sound, tones and music to further heal the iatrogenicbrain/body/mind injury. I can feel all these things affect my autonomic nervous system in very profound ways. When we heal we are rewiring or retraining our brain…this is the essence of neuroplasticity. I’ve learned to trust my intuitions and the other day my mind alerted me to find Pachelbel’s Canon in D. I wasn’t even sure what it was exactly. I knew it was a piece of popular classical music, but I wasn’t sure which one. In any case, my unconscious mind knew and remembered and was telling me it would be helpful. And so it was. I found several interpretations of the Canon on Sound Cloud, which I was able to download for free. Each interpretation leads to similar but subtly different parts of my psyche that needed tending to. I’ve shared several below for your enjoyment. If you are not drawn to Pachelbel’s Canon, find what you are drawn to musically and tonally and see if it helps your meditation and/or contemplations. Ecstatic dance, too can be very helpful in accessing the wounded psyche and body for healing. Below the following pieces of music I will list other posts on Beyond Meds that explore sound healing. A lot of them include links to free downloads. I’m finding it critically important for myself at this juncture of my healing path. Iggy131313 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 This is very interesting Gia and ties in with something I am looking into at the moment, the possibility of Rife helping, its a very simmilar concept using frequencies for healing, and I came across a man who claimed he healed his tardive akathisia in 5 days with a rife machine thanks for this damaged by citalopram - severe suffering for 3 years now...no improvement akathsiia, pgad, dp/dr, terror, and so SO many more daily severly disabled and lost everything

GiaK Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 The neuroscience of music From Neuroscience News: If You Get the Chills From Music, You May Have a Unique Brain – calling it the “chills” really misses the point in my opinion. When I shared this with my husband he, too, felt that it was a ridiculously inadequate way to convey the profundity of the experience. We can become one with the music. It’s a pure experience of emotion. And for me it is even a transmission of truth that has no content. It simply is and the body recognizes it and in that way it is transformative and healing. Music, sound, tones and dance as well, have all been very important parts of my healing journey. It has all aided in the process of healing neuroplasticity and thus, the transformation of my being. Ultimately the way music works for me is indicative of yet another way the mystery of our interconnectedness with all things manifests.
