kimby
Wonderful news! Yes hormones are pretty powerful things. i know for me i felt off after i had my second child. it takes time for the hormones to get back to normal. but may i suggest finding natural ways to do so....foods, exercise etc. We are way too quick to pop a pill for the fastest fix. God bless you and your little one Link to comment
Pregnog
Nearly 5 years later and just to update - all has been well. I did definitely suffer from a bit of post natal depression but I refuse to ever take psychiatric medications again given the horrendous and long withdrawals I had before. I know if I did take them I’d never come off them. I do still feel like they have permanently changed how my brain works but I’ll never really know. I do still get tearful when anxious which NEVER happened until I got withdrawals from escitalopram. It’s very annoying. My child that I was pregnant with when I originally posted is now almost 5 and has developed brilliantly into a wonderful, cheeky, intelligent and gorgeous little human. The pregnancy was moderately stressful due to some issues with unexplained mild bleeding until 29 weeks then it stopped. I was exhausted throughout which I think was largely due to working very long hours (average 45 hours a week) in a very stressful job. I was dizzy quite a lot and aches all over. I had a planned caesarean at 40 weeks and baby was a healthy average weight. So a great outcome really. Anyone reading this in a similar situation I hope can take heart and not panic. Thanks again to all the kind and generous people who supported me here - your support was so valuable and really did mean the world to me during a really stressful time. I hope you’re all well!
