zandro
Hello, Are there statistics for how many experience symptoms. Are there cases of people going off meds and never experiencing a thing like nothing happened in the brain?
Moderator Emeritus scallywag Posted July 22, 2016 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 22, 2016 Short answer: No. Long answer: No and there likely won't be. The vast majority of research on psychoactive pharmaceuticals is sponsored by pharmaceutical manufacturers. The manufacturers were compelled by regulators such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to acknowledge that some people have problems when a psych drug was discontinued. The manufacturers have no incentive to study withdrawal syndrome and rea$on$ upon rea$son$ not to study it. This is not medical advice.
