Thank you MindDrift.  Every little bit makes a difference.  I made a donation shortly after I joined the site.  Like you it was a small amount.  I really wanted to donate a lot more because of the valuable information and support that this site free of charge.

Which reminds me that I was very disappointed when I realised, after making my donation, that I hadn't taken the exchange rate into account.  I've made a lot of online monetary transactions since then and I think my donation experience taught me to be aware of the exchange rate. 😊

We can't help the exchange rate. A smaller fee would be extracted by the bank if you want to make an account to account transfer. Please contact me if you want to do this, rather than going through PayPal.

Just donated 👍🏻 Thank you for all of the hard work.

2009-2021: Fluoxetine (20-40 mg) on-and-off many times, without major problems.

Aug 2021: Tapered off 20 mg fluoxetine over 6 weeks. No physical withdrawal symptoms immediately apparent.

Dec 2021: Decided to go back on fluoxetine -- 10 mg for 12 days, then stopped for three weeks. Had emotional breakdown.

Jan 2022: Decided to start up 10 mg fluoxetine again. Noticed much stronger and odder side effects. (Kindling? Adverse reaction?)

Feb 2022: Stopped 10 mg fluoxetine after 3.5-4 weeks due to neurogenic bladder(?)

Feb 2022: 25 day excruciating withdrawal

March 2022: In near delirium, tried a botched reinstatement of fluoxetine - 2.5 mg one day, 1.25 mg the next, stopped 4 days(?), 0.5 mg 3 days, stopped.

Currently taking nothing and praying for recovery.

- Mar 2022: Parnate 10mg for 4 days

- Feb to Mar 2022 - Mirtazapine 15mg (cold turkeyed in March and took a few doses intermittently - bad rebound insomnia)

Hospitalised in April 2022 and put on 5mg Olanzapine and Mirtazapine 15mg reinstated, which was upped to 30 mg for a week.

Hospitalised in June 2022 - doctor wanted me to quickly come off these, by trusting the doctor I agreed and suffered big headaches and even worse emotional numbing.

Current: 12.5 Mirtazapine and 0.75mg Olanzapine (compounded liquid)

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi I donated the other day.  I'm so grateful for everything you do on this site, thank you.

  • Citalopram 20mg since 2004 following postnatal anxiety.  No warning of dependence, no guidance on how to stop taking, believed GP likening this to a diabetic taking insulin.
  • Changed to Mirtazapine 30mg in 2011 after being wrongly diagnosed with GAD, when in fact it was an adverse reaction to taking the contraceptive pill after a miscarriage causing severe anxiety, panic, depression and suicidal ideation.
  • Changed to Cipralex 15mg in 2013 after a two week taper, which caused horrific withdrawal symptoms.
  • Diagnosed with medication related trauma in 2017 and slowly tapered to 2mg Cipralex.  Recently experienced a month of severe withdrawal reactions after taking expired medication.
  • I WANT THIS POISON OUT OF MY BODY.
