Moderator Emeritus ChessieCat Posted October 2, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted October 2, 2021 Thank you MindDrift. Every little bit makes a difference. I made a donation shortly after I joined the site. Like you it was a small amount. I really wanted to donate a lot more because of the valuable information and support that this site free of charge. Which reminds me that I was very disappointed when I realised, after making my donation, that I hadn't taken the exchange rate into account. I've made a lot of online monetary transactions since then and I think my donation experience taught me to be aware of the exchange rate. 😊 1 * NO LONGER ACTIVE on SA * MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: (6 year taper) 0mg Pristiq on 13th November 2021 ADs since ~1992: 25+ years - 1 unknown, Prozac (muscle weakness), Zoloft; citalopram (pooped out) CTed (very sick for 2.5 wks a few months after); Pristiq: 50mg 2012, 100mg beg 2013 (Serotonin Toxicity) Tapering from Oct 2015 - 13 Nov 2021 LAST DOSE 0.0025mg Post 0 updates start here My tapering program My Intro (goes to tapering graph) VIDEO: Antidepressant Withdrawal Syndrome and its Management

conkaia
Hi I donated the other day. I'm so grateful for everything you do on this site, thank you. 3 August 2004: Citalopram 20mg for "postnatal anxiety". May-Sept 2011: Adverse reaction to the contraceptive pill, causing severe anxiety and panic. Was switched from 7 years on Citalopram to Lofepramine briefly, then Mirtazapine 30mg. Was an anxious, depressed, suicidal wreck and got misdiagnosed with GAD by a psychiatrist. I now realise my symptoms were all medication related, as opposed to so-called psychiatric diagnosis. October 2011: Pregabalin 450mg and propranolol 40mg TID added by psychiatrist. Feb 2013: Tapered off pregabalin 450mg; stopped propranolol. July 2013: Switched from Mirtazapine 30mg to Cipralex 10mg in a two-week cross titration, which caused horrific withdrawal symptoms lasting months. April 2015: Increased to 15mg Cipralex. 2017: Was treated by a clinical psychologist for medication-related trauma and slowly tapered down to 2mg Cipralex over the next four years. December 2021: Switched from Cipralex tablets to drops to facilitate further tapering; this caused withdrawal reaction lasting approx 6 weeks. May 2022: Experienced severe withdrawal reaction after inadvertently taking expired drops. 3rd June 2022: Reinstated 2mg Cipralex drops. Stabilisation hindered by drinking alcohol socially; didn't realise impact of this. Nil alcohol since September 2022. Supplements: Cycling Magnesium, Omega 3, Evening Primrose, Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, Vitamin B Complex, Zinc, Ashwagandha, Sage. Had been taking these prior to withdrawal incident. Feb 2023: Relatively stable and aiming to hold on 2mg Cipralex and with a view to tapering down in 2024. Tapered off Ashwagandha.

DanielMeadesMemory
Our colleague, Dr Thomas Meade, lost his son Daniel Meade on 9/14/22. His work family decided to take up a donation and Dr Meade found this worthy cause to donate it to. We hope our small donation in his name make a big difference to a worthy cause! Daniel was gifted with a kind soul, keen mind, and a selfless heart. His creativity and initiative were incredible. His hobbies included web design, eBay business development, comic book aficionado, sports and political analyst. Dan never wanted to be the center of attention but his calm and steady demeanor complimented any gathering. It came as a pleasant surprise when Daniel had a short career as a lead 'scream singer' in a post- high school band. Empathy could be his middle name, but courage and strength define him. The love and adoration his family and friends share are limitless. He will be a part of our hearts and souls forever and missed beyond words.

Moderator manymoretodays Posted November 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted November 26, 2022 Yes, so very sorry for Dr. Meade's loss, and the loss of Daniel. He sounds like a wonderful person and soul. 💜 Started with psycho meds/psychiatric care circa 1988. In retrospect, and on contemplation, situational overwhelm. Rounding up to 30 years of medications(30 medication trials, poly-pharmacy maximum was 3 at one time). 5/28/2015-off Adderal salts 2.5mg. (I had been on that since hospital 10/2014) 12/2015---just holding, holding, holding, with trileptal/oxcarb at 75 mg. 1/2 tab at hs. My last psycho med ever! Tapered @ 10% every 4 weeks, sometimes 2 weeks to 2016 Dec 16, medication free!! Longer signature post here, with current supplements. Herb and alcohol free since 5/15/2016. And.....I quit smoking 11/2021. Lapsed. Redo of quit smoking 9/28/2022. Can you say Hallelujah?(took me long enough)💜 None of my posts are intended as medical advice. Please discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical provider. littlebird
Hey @Altostrata and many wonderful mods, I investigating the company that you're hosted on (professional curiosity for my work), and they offer monthly subscriptions. These subscriptions can be tiered, from low-income friendly options to higher-level monthly fees for members with means. These don't seem to preclude free members from signing up, and might up the size and consistency of your monthly revenue (especially as many of us are on Team Taper for the long haul and people are active members for years and years). Just a thought! A million thanks for all the help you've provided me and my fellow Team Taper compatriots. 2 Pronouns: they/them/theirs Started on Prozac as a teen in 2000 to treat cPTSD, been on various cocktails ever since. 2002-2004, 2017-2022: Buspar, tapered down to 0 2016-present: 100mg Seroquel for sleep -> May 2023: 90mg -> June 2023: 81mg -> September 2023: 72mg -> switched to brand name, much too strong, down to 60mg 2016-Present: 100mg Wellbutrin SR -> January 2023: 75mg IR (37.5mg 2x a day) -> February 2023 (33.75mg 2x a day) -> July 2023 (30.37mg 2x a day) -> August 2023 (27.33mg 2x a day) 2018-present: 25mg Pristiq 2015-present: 600mg Gabapentin (200mg 3x a day) -> December 2022: 300mg Gabapentin (100mg 3x a day) per GP's recommendation after side effects -> March 2023: 90mg 3x a day (switched to liquid suspension) -> March 2023: 80mg 3x a day -> April 2023: 75mg 3x a day -> September 2023: bad generic, switched back to homemade liquid; too strong after bad generic, down to 70mg 3x a day Supplements: Multivitamin w/magnesium, probiotics, digestive enzymes, anti-viral nitric oxide nose spray as needed
