Hi guys i took amitriptyline for 2 weeks at 10 mg for nerve pain . I have anxiety anyhow . Felt side effects so stopped it . Now I read about pssd etc and all sorts and my anxiety which I have as gone through roof . Am I worrying too much about it all ? Or I should worry ?

Hello, and welcome to SA.  We are a peer owned and run forum of people who have been or are getting off of psychiatric drugs.  It could possibly be that reading about all of the withdrawal symptoms have given you a lot of this anxiety.  You are fortunate in that you stopped after only 2 weeks.  Please bear in mind that most people who come in here with complaints have been on this drugs for many months, years, or decades.  Since you were on it less than a month, the drug has probably made some changes to your nervous system, but I suspect you have not become dependent on it yet.  I wouldn't worry about these symptoms unless you actually experience them.  I suspect you are going be just fine.

other meds: Levothyroxine 75 mg

magnesium in small amounts at 4 AM, before bed

suppl AM: fish oil, flax oil, vit C, vit E, multivitamin, zinc

suppl 8 PM: magnesium 350 mg, extended release vitamin C, melatonin 2 mg

 

Paxil 2002 - 2010, switched to Lexapro 2010 

Trazodone 50 mg. 2002 - 2019, fast tapered in 2019 

Xanax 0.5 mg as needed 2002 - 2019, up to 3x weekly

Thanks I think it all in my head as I suffering with anxiety from caffeine withdrawals . I definitely got withdrawals from this as was crying . Is pssd common with amitriptyline. I can feel my private parts there not numb . But obviously I can erection . But I just scare too try sex in case I have . What you  think ? Never took any antidepressant before this
