I was trying to stabilise on Prozac so I could begin to paper, but it wasn’t working so I was swiched to duloxetine, all was fine until I started withdrawals from the Prozac, now I’m in a horrible place and feel trapped and lost, my question is has anyone been in the position? And what would be my best move next? @Gridley

Hi, Mark.  I’m responding to your question on another thread.  Alcohol will derail recovery from AD WD.  It’s very inconvenient.  I’ve never used alcohol very much because it puts me to sleep, but being unable to have one glass of wine with food is so frustrating.

ADWD takes many years to resolve.  Even people who feel fine and have no symptoms can find themselves with symptoms after taking drugs or drinking alcohol.  Our systems are hyper-sensitive for a long time.  We have to be careful any time we need medicine.

If you get dental work tell the dentist that you need non-adrenaline numbing agents.  There is epinephrine in the numbing agents, but they have the non-epinephrine sort, too.  The numbing will not last as long without epinephrine. You may need an extra shot in the middle of the procedure.  So, the dentists are irritated, and they might not believe you, but you must insist.  The cartridges are different colors depending on which type of numbing agent they contain.  Find out the color in your country and double check before you get the shot.
