Shanti
I've used activated charcoal for many things for years. But I wouldn't use it for withdrawal, as the only thing charcoal really does is absorb the medicine. You should be tapering slow and you probably shouldn't use anything to absorb what you are taking. Taper from Cymbalta, Paxil, Prozac & Antipsychotics finished June 2012. Xanax 5% Taper - (8/12 - .5 mg) - (9/12 - .45) - (10/12 - .43) - (11/12 - .41) - (12/12 - .38) My Paxil Website My Intro
techdude101
I have been off all medications for about 6 months now but I still feel the effects of the medications (sedation, anxiety, depression) and I think this is due to the fact the these medications get stored in fat cells and I have been losing weight causing the medications to get released back into my system. I have been using activated charcoal for the past month and have noticed an improvement. I have also noticed that if I don't take the charcoal and have a late breakfast/lunch/dinner I start to experience these symptoms as well as nausea, muscle aches and a "fuzzy head".
