My procedure was on Dec 27 and so far so good. Nothing negative.

Maybe slightly more sensitive than I was prior. I was suffering from anhedonia and now have been feeling mostly normal twangs of emotion: a glimmer of joy here, a twinge of sadness at a memory of a lost loved one there.

April 2017 - December 2017: Lexapro 5 mg

December 2017: discontinued Lexapro 5 mg CT

April 2018- May 2018: fluoextine 20 mg

May 2018 : stopped fluoxetine CT

December 2018: Started Lexapro 5 mg

April 2019: Started Rexulti 1 mg, Remeron 7.5 mg, and Adderall 20 mg

July 2019: Stopped Rexulti and Remeron CT

Late July 209: Stopped Adderall CT

August 2019: Stopped Lexapro 5 mg CT

Reinstatement

Has anyone reinstated after completing withdrawal?  I have a new health crisis with no known cause or cure. I’m in severe pain.  What are the odds of taking an antidepressant after you’ve completed withdrawal

You had 2 Introduction topics (only one per member) and several other topics where you had asked a question which would have been better posted in your topic.  I have merged all of them into your original Introduction topic.

Your Introduction topic is the best place to ask questions and journal your progress.  This keeps your history in one place and means that you won't have to repeat your story.  Also staff regularly check for new posts made by members in the Introduction forum but don't always see posts made elsewhere on the site.

It's 2.5 years since you last posted.  Please update your drug signature so that we can see what changes to drugs and doses you have made since June 2018.

Thank you.

Q:  Is the pain related to the health issue or is it a withdrawal symptom?

If it is definitely withdrawal please read Post #1 of this topic:

About reinstating and stabilizing to reduce withdrawal symptoms

If the pain is related to the health issue then I imagine that the doctor may  possibly/probably want to try a drug for that pain.  If this is the case, we are not able to provide any assistance with what drug/s you could try.  BUT I would strongly encourage you to do your own research about any drug that the doctor suggests BEFORE you take it.  Not only side effects but also check to see the tapering for that drug.  You might also search SA for other members taking that drug to see what issues they have been dealing with.

Also, be aware of several things.  Often psychiatric drugs are prescribed off label so you may not realise that you have been prescribed a psychiatric drug.  Also for most psychiatric drugs (Prozac is different and has a very long half life) the half life is about 24 hours.  Some might be less (and may need to be taken 2x a day) and some might be a bit longer than 24 hours.  That being said it generally takes about 4 days for dose to get to a steady level in the blood and a bit longer for it to register in the brain.  It can take as little as 1 month for the brain to fully adapt to a psychiatric drug, so thereafter it will need to be tapered; if it is only 2-3 months you might be able to do a fast taper off, after that time then a slower taper may be needed to keep withdrawal symptoms to a minimum.  The effect of taking psychiatric drugs on the nervous system is cumulative; what you did before with no issues might not work the same way the next time.  Also be aware that your nervous system might be sensitised from previous drug use/reductions so taking a "normal" dose of a drug (previous or new) might be too much (so members have issues with food after their system has been sensitised), so starting with a small dose as a test to see how it affects you and only making one change at a time is a good idea.

If you are taking or suggested to take multiple drugs then I suggest that you also do a drug interaction check:

Drug.com Interactions Checker
Medscape Drug Interaction Checker

Please note that asking other members for drug recommendations is not permitted on SA and can incur a warning point.
