jozeff: trying to come off of citalopram - a little help would be great

Thanks a lot @getofflex,

Great support!. Good to hear you are doing better than a couple of months ago.

It's just that sometimes things seem to be a lot better and then suddenly I get kicked in the behind..

I still cannot relate it to my taper schedule. I would like to decrease 20% in dose but I'm just too scared. That would prove if it's withdrawal or not. I'm just afraid the damage is way beyond what I can deal with right now.

I'm tapering 1% every week currently my gut feeling is that my body doesn't even register the difference 😕

Hope you are doing great, wish you all the best.

Cheers

Jozeff

We do not suggest you do this.  We suggest no more than 10% reduction.

That's the windows and waves pattern of withdrawal and recovery - I'm assuming you know about this.  If not, read this:

This sounds like a good plan - I would keep doing this. However, if you are having symptoms, you may want to hold for while on your current dose.  We do not suggest reducing while your nervous system is destabilized.  Why not stay on your 1.42 mg for a month or two.  It will do you a lot of good, and make future tapering easier.  I did a 5 month hold at the end of my taper, and it did me a world of good.
