Corcomm Posted May 2, 2019 Share Posted May 2, 2019 I'm on 2000 mgs of Valproate, 30 mgs of Prozac and 10 mgs of Abilify daily. I'm starting my taper with the Prozac first (the Accelerant). I won't taper the Abilify (the Brake) until after I'm off the Prozac (in October 2021). In the meantime, is it safe to taper off the Valproate at the same time as the Prozac? According to my schedule, I'll be off both the Valproate and the Abilify by March, 2023. If I taper each drug sequentially, I'll be at this until I'm 75. I want to get my joy back while I'm still able to enjoy it. Valproate - 20 years @ 2000 mg (September, 1999 to present) Stelazine - first 15 years @ 10 mg (September, 1999 to September , 2014) Aripiprazole - last 5 years @ 10 mg (September 2014 to present) Fluoxetine - 20 years @ 30 mg (September, 1999 to present) Link to comment
