You've only been stabilizing for 16 days, it usually takes a lot longer than that. I would give it a month or two before making and decisions. The 1 to 2 mgai range for Deroxat frequently is a hard one to get through. Many of our members have had trouble there with the same symptoms that you describe. It has to be taken slowly and carefully, listening to your body the whole time. Once you get below 1mgai things should settle down quite a bit. Work with the AAF, finding beauty in nature and working around the symptoms with distraction. That will help ease things as you go along. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. I hope you are ok all the time. i wasn't on a certain drug all the period. i took many drugs many times and for no very long period but to simplify. --fluvoxamine maleate100 mg + amisulpride 200mg------started july 2012 and total taper in february 2015 ( 9 months without drugs then) --sertraline 100mg -------started november 2015 and total taper (withoud reduction slowly) in november 2016( 4 months withoud drugs then). --sertraline 100mg + quetiabine 25mg ( started in mars 2016 and for 7 months) then fluvoxamine maleate 100mg again for another 7months and after that a something like to use every drug for 14 days and for about 1.5 years. --my last drug was trintellix 10 mg ( used it in 12/2018and total taper in 4/2019). symptomts i have now ( bad concentration and problems in short and long memory+ bad depersonalization). How much are you taking at once? It's possible it doesn't agree with you. Signs of excessive magnesium dosing are gut upset and diarrhea. Paroxetine is more likely to cause dry mouth. What times of day do you take your drugs and supplements, and their dosages? If you take paroxetine and magnesium at the same time, you may be mistaking adverse effects from one as adverse effects from the other. This is not medical advice. Saturday I went to the hairdresser and I stayed from 12:30 to 18:30 it was a horrible day the anguish was at 10 j i almost ran away several times. At the esthetician's home the treatment lasted an hour and the anguish was at 10. I realize that we are really limited to do the things of life. I refuse all invitations noel approach and I am invited to paris and I know I could not go. I can drive but not far I cross my fingers so I can continue. but time is not in our favor. snow has been invited☃️ as well Insomnia happened while I was sleeping like a baby before I could do full nights my ritual is to get up at 3am or 5am Thank you for your answers. This means an increase is going in the correct direction. As it's been more than a month, you might want to add more SSRI. Paroxetine is very difficult to go off. You might consider a gradual switch to fluoxetine (Prozac). Have you ever had a bad reaction to fluoxetine? Fluoxetine comes in a prescription liquid. You might add 0.25mg fluoxetine to your 1.58mg paroxetine, wait a week, let us know how you're doing. If all goes well, you could then decrease paroxetine by 0.25mg. Gradually add fluoxetine and reduce paroxetine; over the next few weeks, you'll be off paroxetine. Then you can stabilize on fluoxetine and taper that. This is not medical advice. I have a lot of physical symptoms tachycardia accelerates the heart rate two or three times a day after having taken seroxat. I consulted a cardiologist but I have nothing. I also had paresthesia of the lower limbs. The doctor was thinking of diabetes neuropathy but still I have nothing. I also have cholesterol all these problems I associate them with seroxat. and I do not list everything, as for the itching I wondered why I was scratching all the time. it was on your forum that I discovered that it came from weaning. this medicine has been prescribed to relieve us at some point in our lives but in fact it is a poison. I never thank you enough for your availability and the creation of this site. you and the other administrators.
