Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted May 19, 2020 Moderator Emeritus Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) Welcome to SA, Dennis. If you're feeling stable, now would be a good time to taper. We recommend tapering by no more than 10% of your current dose every four weeks. We definitely don't recommend stopping abruptly (cold turkey). Why taper by 10% of my dosage? This link is specifically about tapering vortioxetine (trintillex), including how to get to nonstandard doses you'll need for your 10% taper. Tips for tapering off Trintellix (vortioxetine), previously called Brintellix We don't recommend a lot of supplements on SA, as many members report being sensitive to them due to our over-reactive nervous systems, but two supplements that we do recommend are magnesium (glycinate is a good form) and omega 3 (fish oil). Many people find these to be calming to the nervous system. Magnesium, nature's calcium channel blocker Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) Add in one at a time and at a low dose in case you do experience problems. This is your Introduction topic, where you can ask questions and connect with other members. We're glad you found your way here. HappyPup Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 I am tapering off Trintellix as well. I started at 10 mg, then went to 5 mg after a couple of months, now I have been on 2.5mg for 7 days. I have good and bad days. How long will this last?

HappyPup, please start your own Introduction thread and I will answer your questions. Please start a topic about yourself in this forum 1 For now I will say that you are tapering way too fast, and I suggest you hold where you are at 2.5mg until you've started your own thread and I can address your situation there.
