QueenElisabeth: tapering Effexor / venlafaxine from Dec 2018 - how to get off

HI to all of you who might read my story.

My brain is so bad I find it hard to do this, so it has taken me a few days. Also, this is not my mother language, so I  hope you forgive me for the mistakes I might make.
I tapered very slowly the whole year of 2019 after  using this SNRI for 1,5 years.  I didn't have enough energy, had a few migraines and had a harder PMS period before my menstrual period. In general I was very fine and feeling confident. I just made mistake. I was tapering 1 mg per week from the weight of the beads, using a scale and didn't  slow down when I was on 40 mg. I started to feel real bad on 25 mg of the beads, in May  2020. ( that was 11, .. mg of venlafaxine)  June 12th  I up-dosed to 60 beads , 15  mg of Venlafaxine and  I split  the  dose. It  helped  immediately,  but not enough  to  hold me for long. Second week  I got worse and it freaked me out again. Physically I lost 15 pounds of weight. I was a wreck.
After  2 weeks from my last change, I  updosed to 17  mg  , 66 beads. Terrified. My whole life crumbled in front of my eyes. It helped again and I got better. But I am not stabile.
Now here i am. Still stuck on 66 beads.  Still having waves. This week it will be October. It is  going on too long... my relationship is ruined as he can't cope seeing me suffer like this. So I live with my parents who are old. I have nothing left then my cloths and taper friends.
I  don't know what to do anymore.

I am on the fb group Effexor (Venlafaxine) should be illegal. The tell me to wait.  And I am waiting. But how long do you wait?   6 months? a year?  And wait for  what?  I need a  plan....  this is insane and I don't know how  to get out.

I try to  walk at least 30 minutes daily, but i hate winter  is coming. I  try  to do coherent breathing, to  help my access my prefrontal. I use essential oil which was recommended.  I  journal my day and symptoms since some time. I read and read  some more to find answers, but  mostly I  need  to hear how people got through this and how they healed. I  just need to see where the end of the tunnel will be.

I hope you can support my journey. I can't see it anymore

Welcome to SA, QueenElisabeth.

As you probably know, we recommend tapering no faster than 10% of current dose every four weeks.

Why taper by 10% of my dosage?

We recommend tapering by a percentage of current dose rather than a a straight linear decrease like you did because with a percentage decease as you get lower the percentage of your cut gets lower.  With a straight cut like yours the percentage of the cut gets higher as you get lower in dose, which makes it harder on you.  So when you were at the higher doses 4mg a month wasn't more than 10% a month.  But when you down lower, for example 11mg, 4mg a month was close to a 50% decrease.  This explains why you had trouble as you got lower in dose..

I would hold where you are now at 17mg, 66 beads for several months until you stabilize.  Then I would taper 10% of current dose every four months weeks instead of the straight 1mg per week method you've been using.  This link is specifically about tapering Effexor.

Tips for tapering off venlafaxine (Effexor)

You can Google "SurvivingAntidepressants.org effexor success stories" to read how other people got off this drug.

We don't recommend a lot of supplements on SA, as many members report being sensitive to them due to our over-reactive nervous systems, but two supplements that we do recommend are magnesium and omega 3 (fish oil). Many people find these to be calming to the nervous system.

Magnesium, nature's calcium channel blocker

Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil)

Add in one at a time and at a low dose in case you do experience problems.

This is your Introduction topic, where you can ask questions and connect with other members.  We're glad you found your way here.

When do you know you can taper again? I waited now for 3,5 months...

Waiting and not knowing, stuck at my parents house, bf is unsure about all of it.... I am going out of my mind last few days. I am 42 and my life is just nothing anymore. NO income, no health, no friends. I feel so crushed....

Time to write about my window and track my progress.

I was super depressed writing you before. On the 1st of October I started tapping again to  lift the depression with  EFT.
It  made  a profound shift  so I  continued to do so daily. 5 days ago on Monday  I also  started  acupuncture  and  drinking a tea what  the  TCM doctor gave to me.

Woke up in the middle of the night unable to breath. It's not unusual for my , I had that all my life with asthma.
Today I have a very weird belly pain and I did not sleep well. Wonder if that is my window closing or not. Can't  tell yet.

I was in a window for at least 7, maybe even 9 days now.

Welcome, QueenElisabeth; you have found a resource with many valuable tips for getting through drug tapers, and specifically Effexor tapers.  (I am not talking about myself.)

The moderators are very helpful when you ask specific questions.  But also recognize that all your questions have been answered before, you just need to keep exploring this web site.

In answer to your question, I up-dosed when I recognized that the step(s) taken downward where not going smoothly.  As the moderators have said to others; you are the only one who will know yourself best and will need to make the decision to up-dose.  And you are the only one who will recognize when you are ready to try going downward again.  The worst that can happen in starting downward again is that you may then realize, maybe not yet.

Another individual on www.survivingantidepressants.org/ told me they had more difficulties going downward below 60 mg.  I agree.  We are both below that step.

We are all tempted to go faster than recommended, I am no exception.  But one of the big keys is to be very patient with the process.  I have been on this journey since June 6, 2018.

Also be aware that your pre-existing physical and mental conditions can make this process more difficult to pinpoint exactly what is occurring, related to the tapering process.

For instance, my pre-existing condition of daily fatigue can affect my scoring of anhedonia.  I find they are closely tied together.

For instance, my pre-existing arthritic daily back and neck pain can over-ride any recognition of other things going on in my body.

You are doing some good things for your pre-existing conditions.

Those who have gone before us, recognize that antidepressant drugs are only useful for a short duration.  The root causes must be addressed.

Please excuse me from answering further questions, due to my pre-existing conditions.

I did with quite some time to be honest. I haven't reduced any bead since November. It was just too hard on me. It took me a long time to stabilize and I am 50/50 now.
Still my energy is not great, and I need to sleep a lot. I am looking for a way to change energetically and heal from that point on.

How are you FarmMom?  It looks like you are stuck in your taper and increased in the last few months, back up.

I have. I haven't been right since I got the COVID vaccine and had a panic attack. I don't know what is going on, but it is so bad I am mourning myself from before the vaccine. I can't enjoy anything, i can't eat, can't sleep. Have no pleasure in anything. Work and home and would prefer to just stay in bed. I wish so many things now, but mostly that I hadn't gotten the vaccine. I had a flawless taper, but apparently the reductions did leave me vulnerable to a panic attack. Did you happen to encounter any of the symptoms I listed?

I am scared I made it even worse by increasing, but when you're desperate it is hard to be rational.

I reduced 1 bead this November 2021. The first 2 weeks intermittent every other day, and the following 2 weeks completely reduced from 65 to 64 beads.  I experienced the following symptoms from only reducing 1 bead:

First week: unrest, heart palpetations

Second week: unrest, heart palps, unstable in my emotions and feeling really sad, menstrual period 3 days late, recovering from sports took 5 days after a normal intensive workout ( the pain was intense... very strange experience)

Third week: Crying, and same as second week... thought I was grieving, but realized later it was withdrawal. Made a very clear decision I would practice daily meditation and feeling good emotions, smiling to give positive signals to my brain.

Fourth week: More calm, working hard on consciously exercising feeling joy, peace, love and grateful. It's working, I feel confident and peaceful.

I haven't tapered again, as I am still working towards reducing the response of my body to the taper of only 1 bead.

A few years back I started to work as "The Taper Coach", after withdrawing a benzodiazepine, and I use EFT to reduce lot's of symptoms and suffering. I am getting certified in a new Method called MAP right now. It's working with and in the subconcious of people and I am very hopeful it can really help in withdrawal and hopefully even reduce the amount of withdrawal one can experience.
I feel hopeful and will continue my journey.

Glad to hear you're feeling much better lately. I'm no expert but I have read on here that changing the dose every other day to taper can bring on withdrawal symptoms and is not recommended.... Before your next taper it might be worth tagging a mod to check your method.

@QueenElisabeth very thoughtful message Liz. So much good you are doing. I am tapering of effexor by weighing beads.

Two questions for you:

1) are you not worried that when you split your XR dose in half (presumably to help with interdose w/d) your peak plasma concentration of drug changes and may cause symptoms.

2) when you alternate between being up a bead and down a bead your blood plasma fluctuates, potentially causing symptoms

Just wanted to get your thoughts on this.

Cheers, Larry and Liz

1. As I am walking in this withdrawal world for some time, I have seen more benefits and reduction of the symptoms when half-life is taken very serious and doses are split, than it to cause more problems than before. Yes, the first day this might happen slightly, but if half-life is a factor in your withdrawal severity ( which differs from person to person), it will create a huge win in the long run. But how do you know if that is the case for you personally? You don't... so all you can do is try. It is a safe move.
To be honest, I am not sure if I personally benefited from splitting the dose. I was very very ill and up-dosing was still crucial to my recovery.
The second benefit I experience is, when forgetting one dose, it doesn't have the same severe impact now, as my last dose is only 12 hours away and not 24 hours. It rarely happens, I have an alarm always, but you know that 1 time or 2 times a year you do something stupid and it happens.

2. I understand your concern there, and I think that I can do this as I was still on 65 beads. Things I considered:

a) When you count beads in one capsule, they are not always the same amount. Most people can bear that.

b) As I take it twice a day, 3 intakes are the same, 1 changed, and so the body could slowly adjust to a lower level was my idea. It's teasing the body but not too much. Yes, it's unstable, but leaving it out completely seemed more unstable and frankly I was scared to even do that 1 bead and this alternative gave me the courage to try. And it's not the same as alternating fully in taking it one day and not the other. In my opinion this was the smallest step I could take in the slowest way.

I hope my answer is helping you.
I weighted my beads before I crashed and feel more confident in beat-counting at the moment.

Your concerns are logical and true and sweet of you to warn me, however.... the smallest step is only 1 bead right now. To make that even smaller, this was all I could think of, without going into more difficult procedures of crushing and water etc ( which  I don't want to do for now). There is a delay in the adjustment of the body and a delay in response.
It was 1 out for 4 doses, that I lowered the first 2 weeks.
Considering that most capsules are not completely even in their beat count, and I am not nitpicking with small or big beads. So there is small variety anyway.  All these thoughts together made me want to try this.

I felt like it worked and led me in slowly. I could be wrong.  And what worked one time, might not work all the time and what works for one, doesn't always work for all.

I would love to hear moderators knowledge and experience on the Venlafaxine taper. At the moment I am not willing to suffer any more then I already did, so I did not reduce again.

Hi Liz,

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. You have a keen understanding of this drug and good intuition which im sure will serve you well during your tapering journey. A few thoughts to further elaborate these themes we have begun to discuss.

You must have some reason to fear interdose w/d even though you are taking an XR formulation. I would be curious to know why you think interdose dose w/d symptoms may present themselves if the formulation remains XR. Is it perhaps that you have inferred from your own experience, that less w/d in general tends to manifest (or in a different way) when following a 2/day dosing schedule. Do you think that perhaps as you reduce the total number of beads which you are consuming that the pharmacokinetics of the medication change? I would be interested to know.

I have always assumed (partly by reading the data from the Effexor patents and other studies on the pharmacokinetics of Effexor) that by splitting an XR dose to q12H dosing would change the peak plasma concentration because you are taking half your usual dose at two different times. This has made me leery of such a switch. I suppose if there was a good enough reason to assume that interdose w/d are taking place I would consider it. The half life of XR I believe to remain the same 15 +/- 6 even as you lower the dose but of course this may change slightly as the ratio of bead sizes changes (since the size dictates the amount of rate controlling excipients comprising the coat of the beads). While we are on the subject, do you think that each bead has the same amount of active ingredient; do you take this as a given?

In regards to the subject of purposely alternating a bead to ease yourself onto a lower (one less bead) dose I can see the merits in that. It is not very drastic after all. But you piqued my curiosity with you statement that total bead number varies between capsules. This is of course true, but what I do not assume varies is the stated strength or mgai of each capsule. (there may be some allowance of variance of course) so I do think that size of the beads has something to do with the distribution of bead sizes in each capsule and that this is the reason for different bead counts in the capsules. A colleague and I are working on a theory to see why this may be the case. We are sieving and sorting the beads according to size and looking at patterns in the distribution of sizes in capsules. We hope this data will yield more information that can hopefully put to rest some of these mysteries surrounding this drug. I wish you continued success and appreciate any further correspondence you may take upon yourself. You may visit my page on this site under username H8FXR if you’d like to talk some more.

intriguing what your saying. Are you working as  official scientist? or is the colleague a tapering 'buddy'?

Actually, I have notice from experience, any drug coming from a pharmaceutical company has a variety of a small %. I have tapered Valium for a longer period of time, and those tablets weighted between 175 mg and 183 mg. Apparently those are acceptable differences.

We might get more answers if we know how the beads where made and if the content on the outside of the bead is the same as on the inside. If the XR is created by a mix throughout the bead or only outside, that tells you something.

On another note: I am experimenting with a coaching method on myself to see if it can change the physical response to tapering. It's aimed effect is to change believes, emotions and memories that influence the current experience, and to reduce pain and suffering and increase satisfaction in life. It's nothing I have ever seen before in my life. With the method, I see we remove blocks in the subconscious mind, and therefor increase the positive experience of the conscious mind. I started with testing this on my allergy for nuts. All of them. I had 2 "treatments" and after that I happened to go to my NAET therapist, who is actually working with me on my allergies. We didn't get to the nut-department yet.  That day, without telling me what he was testing, he tested the NUTS and he told me afterwards what he tested and what came up.  He had to treat peanuts ( different group of food), and the nuts came up good, as in NO allergic response. I couldn't believe my ears, as I have been allergic to nuts since I was 11. And the only treatment I had done,  had taken place in my subconcious in this coaching procedure called MAP.
I am now doing a certification programme for that method to learn it myself.  It is my full intention to find a way to treat withdrawal and reduce the suffering and I feel like I might have found something that leads to that solution. It will be different for everybody of course. But I am hopeful. As always.

Hey Liz, thanks for your response. There is a way to know how the beads are made: it's by reading the patent. I'm on Effexor XR by Wyeth, if you are too, here is the link:

https://patents.google.com/patent/US6274171B1/en

In short, the beads are made by mixing the venlafaxine with methyl cellulose and then put through spherification process. Later some are coated with a mixture of ethyl cellulose and hypermellose (a polymer that is responsible for the XR properties. Some of the beads are coated again in the same manner. The capsules are filled with mix of different sizes to control dissolution over 24 hr period, the larger the bead the longer the time for the drug to be released through diffusion. And so we see small, medium and large beads in our capsules. There is some variance allowed, but this should not discourage someone from question the accuracy of what they are doing. It is clear to me for example, that by simply weighing the beads the actual amount of API (active ingredient) is going to vary simply by virtue of the fact that the sizes vary based on the amount of inactive slow release coat.

What you are doing sounds interesting. I also have a similar attitude to withdrawal: I am careful to be mindful of the nocebo effect. Sometimes the anticipation of withdrawing some medication can create a negative effect of its own. But the bottom line unfortunately is that withdrawal is has a neurobiological basis and if you exceed the rate at which you brain can reverse neuroadaptations to the drug you will experience symptoms no matter what your mindset.

Cheers,

Mike I

Very interesting to know. I think my brand was generic from Teva BV. Never thought of the option to look at this description, or at least I thought I wouldn't understand it anyway. If the beadsize helps in the distribution like you say, over 24 hours, the half-life would be longer. The highest estimation I could find is 11 hours. However, it takes much longer to be excreted. Some patients may excrete the medication in just 16.5 hours, while it may take 1.6 days for others to completely excrete it. That's also part of the difference in response.

The thing about neuro-adaptations, is that celproduction will always play a role. Creating the protein necessary takes time. But how much time... is very different for individuals. I talked to people who stopped Venlafaxine in just a month and never felt a thing. Same with other drugs like SSRI's, opiats, benzo's etc. Withdrawal is not universal, not everybody experiences it at all, and it's almost never experienced the same. Although, once you hit withdrawal, we all recognize the symptoms and feelings and difficulties.
Does it depend on how much our para-sympathic and sympathic nerve system is  activated?  What if your body responds completely different, and feels safe and has a clear  perspective on how to adapt to the change?  Would it respond the same?

Hi Everybody,

I am looking for some help to think about how to get my taper journey going again. I've been so traumatized before, I haven't really had the courage to continue with the Venla. I avoid it, as I want to be able to work and support others to come off. But my personal challenge is far from over.
Is it possible to taper slower than 1 bead of my venlafaxine? I am currently taking 32 beads in the morning and 32 in the evening. ( about 15 mg)

I have to add some information for the full picture of my current situation.
Never ever did it occur to me, and I did not register it in my original signature, that the antihistamine given to me in 2011 would become a factor in my journey.
January 2023, the first week of the year,  I went to see a Kinesiologist.  I told her about my challenge with Venlafaxine and my desire to taper. She asked all kinds of things, muscle tested things on my body, and I left with the information my body wanted me to start tapering the levocetirizine, the antihistamine, given to me for the many many allergies my body developed over a period of 30 years. Her words: your body doesn't want this. I didn't think much of it and reduced it by 50%. Then 75%. Then 100%. Back to 50% after unbearable itchy burning sensations, waking up at 3 am fully alert. The shocking part was that it all subsided within 10 minutes after taking it. Even a grain of sand would have that effect until the end. I tapered it in 4 months and am now free of that pill for 3 weeks. The experience of the withdrawal and my current symptoms have taken me by surprise.
-Lack of appetite

-Diarrhea ( lasted the last 4 months and is finally recovering)

-Waking up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep

-Serious itchy burning sensations on the skin, no visible redness

-Heart palpitations

-Anhedonia

- Now waking up at 7 am with anxiety

This unexpected period of withdrawal is not over. I am very fragile, can work just a few hours per week, and do not handle stimulation very well. Silence seems to be my friend.

New fear is present about staying on the 15 mg of Venlafaxine and what it is doing in my body and what would happen if I can't make the capsules myself for one reason or another.  After a switch to another brand last fall, that messed with me too, I am not so sure, staying on is possible, but I am also not sure how to come off safely and not lose the last bit of my already crumbled life.

Zyrtec and its sister drug, Xyzal, are well known to cause withdrawals. There are several online withdrawal groups to help people taper off them as well as discuss the whole host of WD symptoms they cause. There is a FB group called “Kicking the Big Z” that has been informative to me and others. I think it would be wise to wait until you are fully recovered from your Xyzal (levocetirizine) WD before restarting your ven taper.

Regarding the ven, what brand are you now on? Beads, tablets, or min-tablets?

Zyrtec and its sister drug, Xyzal, are well known to cause withdrawals. There are several online withdrawal groups to help people taper off them as well as discuss the whole host of WD symptoms they cause. There is a FB group called “Kicking the Big Z” that has been informative to me and others. I think it would be wise to wait until you are fully recovered from your Xyzal (levocetirizine) WD before restarting your ven taper.

Regarding the ven, what brand are you now on? Beads, tablets, or min-tablets?

HI FindRest,

Apologies for the late response!
I am pretty shocked to learn your answer and at the same time very happy you confirm, and I am not the only one with this response. I did not know about this FB group, and could not find anything. I will look for them now.

I agree that tapering Ven is not a good idea. My diarrhea had finally stopped, but today it was there a little, due to an extra rough morning with deep anxiety triggered by a nightmare.

Sleep is still broken up. I get two cycles of normal sleep and then it's very poor sleep after that. I have learned to be calm and sleep very lightly on and off for hours, till it's my time to rise and shine again.  Mornings are rough, Anhedonia is thick in the morning.

I force myself to eat before I do anything, as I learned it helps to reduce cortisol.
Then I walk for 1 hr, to 1,5 hr.  If the weather is good, I do Qigong outside, if needed I do it inside.  It's a new habit I started a couple of weeks ago, as Qigong activates healing energy and centers the mind, and calms the nerves system.

Work is slow, and that is helpful. As if The Universe gives me what I need right now. The work that I do with my clients is always a blessing at the same time and makes me feel normal and capable. I am grateful I have the ability to do it and so are my clients.

During the day I work with my experience, emotions, and thoughts when I can, using EFT and MAP. Both help me a lot to get through everything and stay in the process in the most gentle way.

My friend in the States had lots of pain in her body and is feeling depressed for 2 months. She started using a patch called X39. There is research done on it too. After one week of using it, the debilitating pain in her hip disappeared. I have decided to buy 3 packs and try it myself and let my parents try it as well. I will report here when I can use it and if it helps me with anything.

Summary of  current symptoms (0 nonexistent, 5 is influencing my life and choices I make, 10 highly painful experiences)
Anhedonia: 8 in the morning / 3 in the evening

Quality of sleep: 5, waking around 4.30 AM
Diarrhea: 1

Fatigue: 5

Appetite: 6
Weight: 55,5 kg ( 168 cm) ( lost 3 kg since Jan, tapering levoceterizine)

The burning itching has subsided. Heart pulps may occur once a week. Mostly stabile.

Started using the Almond mushroom yesterday,  and I used Quercitine and another mushroom suppl with Reishi, Paria Cocos and Chaga for  2 months now.

Can venlafaxine be part of my imbalance?

My heart is losing hope today. I cried a couple of times. I didn't allow it, it just happened. Hard to be in this place of intense fatigue and no joy. It feels lonely most of the time.

I found the Kicking Zyrtec group on Facebook and posted my story there today, just to find out if there will be any tips or advice I can use. Most people have no long-lasting symptoms.  Some did have horrible experiences, but it doesn't last months, like mine.

I will see the NAET- therapist next week. The man is a bit weird, but I do not have a lot of options. He worked on  my allergies before, and some are gone. Some returned in my experience. However, the bloodwork done recentely showed NO food allergies. That is new.... It makes me wonder... as my skin is inflamed within 48 hours after eating  stuff I used to be allergic to. At least... that happened a couple of months ago.
I hope he can help me get my balance back, with NAET and with acupuncture. Maybe a good night sleep and waking relaxed in the morning... that would be so nice!

Hello there @QueenElisabeth!  I have read your posts with interest because I too am on Venlafaxine.  I went through a hellish experience with my first attempt in tapering and have been holding at my current 37.5 mg dose since October 2021.  I was happy to read all the coping skills you have been doing.  You are very proactive and that is in your favor.  I have found too that the EFT tapping can be immensely helpful as well as acupuncture; I am so glad you are implementing those things.  I wish I had more answers for you in regards to your allergies.  Hopefully your NAET therapist can help.  I think it's possible that the Venlafaxine taper could be responsible for your issues but I can't say with 100% certainty.  I just know that the body can react in strange ways during withdrawal.

What you've been going through sounds awful, and I'm so sorry you're suffering so much.  We are all here for you though, and will continue to support you the best that we can.  You are NEVER alone, always remember that.  Sending you many hugs and warm healing thoughts today!

Dear @Catina7,

Thank you so much for your reply. It feels like taking a breath of air, after holding my breath for a while. Really grateful you wrote me❤️

The weird thing is that my allergies don't seem to be the big issue right now. It is how my CNS responded to the taper of this antihistamine. I am not using any lung medication right now, so that is a win.

Thank you so much for your warm kind words. I seem to be in need of them.
My brother came by for a moment and I just sobbed in his arms for a moment. I hope this is very temporary, as it seems to me, my resilience is declining rapidly with the pressure in my system.

And yes, I hope the NAET guy/ acupuncturist can bring some of my systems in balance. If he does, I will report about it.

I see in your signature you titrate the venlafaxine? How do you do this? I would love to learn about this method.

I see.  Your CNS was probably already compromised due to the Ven withdrawal.

Hi Catina,

Thank you so much for responding to me. It's intensly difficult and even more than before it seems.
Last friday I had panic in the morning and asked my parents not to go on vacation. They are 78 and 74 years old and taking care of me..... I felt awful about it, but had to admit defeat. Taking care of myself is too much right now.

Allergies are least of my issues now. I need my mood and energy to stabilize so badly. 😒

I do believe the balance with Venla could play a role. But what do you DO in this situation. I don't feel there is any place I can go to for help.

I am now about 54 kg... still loosing weight and not sleeping well.

Today is Tuesday 27th, and I have been using Chinese Herbs mixture : "Qui Pi Tang", since Thursday last week. Also I stimulate a point on my foot with a Moksa stick ( heat).

Changes are slow but clear. I have more energy.

Significantly more energy.

I am eating a little better and had the desire to eat a bit extra around 4 pm, in between normal feeding time.
Last night I also slept better for the first time in months. But it was also not as hot as before so I could close the bloody window to reduce sounds.

Appetite changes started after 3 days of use.
Energy was better on Sunday, in spite of the 30 degrees Celcius/ 85 Farenheit.

Mood is still flat, Anhedonia maybe a 6. Not crushing anymore.

Hope is back to become stable again at least. Has been easier to work.

Glad to hear of your improvements!  Have you ever tried wearing ear plugs to block out noise at night?  I wear them every night and couldn't sleep without them.

I just noticed you had a website so I checked it out.  That's awesome how you're a taper coach and an EFT practitioner!  I'm glad that your ability to work has gotten easier.  And you have really pretty hair by the way!

It is so hard, even with earplugs.  I can only use one, in the ear that doesn't touch the pillow.  Sensitivity to all of it.  I just started wearing my silk eye covers too. And that helps as well...

Thank you for checking my website! It's been a beautiful job for a few years now, and l love my clients. I am still learning, but have lots of skills and ways to help, support and inform them.

Again two bad nights.
_ First night I was cold and tensed, and couldn't fall asleep. To be fair: I was the victim of the an investment scam, and that was giving me stress. But I have known about it for a long time and it has never kept me awake. But this time my had wanted to show me all the signs I ignored in the process.
_Seceond night I just felt restlessness, and lack of peace. I did do a meditative practice on Insight Timer, and relaxed with it, but maybe it also interupted my falling asleep process.  Didn't have much deep sleep, only dream sleep and waking hundreds of times.

It feels like I shouldn't have watched the nature documentary in Netflix. Already too much  stimulation in the evening for me???

oh well....

Woke up this morning with more anxiety. Made me wonder if there are stimulating properties in the herbs I am using. But after getting up, it is never as bad as it seems when IN bed.

Hoping for a better day, but right now I am cold.  My father is wearing shorts, I am wearing a legging and a sweater, just to compare. My body is not in a happy place. But still not as worn down as before.

Blood pressure is so low... 90/53. Explaining some of the fatigue and the cold feeling.

I think I have taken just a bit too little from the herbs. I am going to up it, with my next intake in the afternoon.

Tomorrow I will go back to the acupuncturist.

Energy is low
Anhedonia 6.

I have a weird pressured feeling in my head. Painful without pain... can't explain it better.
Bloodpressure was 90/50 during the day, last 2 days. Evenings it get's better and I feel better too.

I had two better nights this week, but due to period this night was a mess.

I woke up this morning with some panic feelings. Anhedonia was 7.
It was my plan to visit my Polish friend in Poland, and I am so fragile.... It makes me very nervous in the morning. I am writing this at 6 pm, feeling quite okay with all the plans. How bad can it be. In the morning, my body is heavy, my strength super low, bp low, emotional capacity nihil. I have asked the Airport for special support for invisable disabilty support. It brings a little peace to my mind, I can rely on some others to help me.

Acupuncture was alright yesterday. He worked on balancing chakra's and menstrual pain and blood flow, as that started yesterday.

I also found out I was using only half the dose of the herbs and so I am now starting to really take the right amount.
Not sure what to think. Is the pressure in my head from these herbs? Maybe... or not...
I am still under orders to use the moxa stick on my feet, so I do.

Started to experience joint pains in hands, elbows, hips and knees.  Acupuncturist will look at it next time.

Bloodpressure was 90/50 during the day, last 2 days

Hi there!  Your BP is indeed low.  How is your salt intake?  I know one thing I've heard is to increase your salt if your BP is too low; it's supposed to really help.  My BP tends to run on the low end too.
