Hi, 

 

I have been on various antidepressants since 1991. I recently tapered off of cymbalta and abilify. I went off Wellbutrin cold turkey. I am having withdrawals including nausea and vomiting and emotional lability. I am here looking for information and support.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these withdrawal symptoms.  Did they begin after you had tapered off Cymbalta and abilify, or only after Wellbutrin?  No matter what, I know they're awful.  As you can read on this site, you're not alone.   It sounds like you're in an acute phase which will get better.  The damage caused by these drugs is hard to tolerate, but our systems are, in the long run, resilient.  They do eventually heal with patience and self care.  In the meantime, congratulations on tapering off Cymbalta and abilify.  If you could create a signature like you've done above and include the dates of finishing with these 3 drugs, that can help moderators and members to share more information.  Here is a link for this:

Here is also a link to the possibility of reinstating Wellbutrin at a very small dose and tapering from there if you feel the symptoms are intolerable and you feel it would be helpful.  I'm not sure how long ago you CT'ed, so that may make a difference as to the wisdom in doing so--as you can read here:

Good Morning,

 

I have tapered off Cymbalta and it took me a year. I have been off for about 6 weeks now. I also went off of Wellbutrin cold turkey about a month ago. Does anyone else have eye pain?  My eyes just ache and I find myself closing them hard all the time trying to get the pain to ease.

Thanks for specifying your signature @Krussell548.  Unfortunately eye pain is a symptom people report during withdrawal, especially in the early stages.  The best way to search this site for specific information  is to use your favorite search engine. Type in survivingantidepressants.org then the symptom, treatment, supplement or information you wish to search for.  

You might also want to keep track of symptoms like eye pain.  Here are link to help with this:

Here is a link that addresses eye issues including pain.  I recommend ice packs which I used in the first 6 months of w/d.  With time, if you are still experiencing the pain, then it might be good to have an eye doctor examine your eyes.  Mine resolved in the first 6 months without seeing a doctor.
