I have been able to sleep but this morning I woke in a state of anxiety with a pounding heart.  I have had constant anxiety with waves of terror.   I have no idea how to private chat.

2003- started 2.5 mgs Celexa

Over the years upped to 10mgs.

2003 - .5mgs xanax as needed.  Took about 2mgs a day for 15 years.  Weaned off over 4 years.  Last xanax June 4th 2022.

July 20 2022- Started weaning Celexa

August 29th 2022 -Stopped 2.5 mg Celexa

Fine for 4-5 weeks and started having panic attacks.

Sept 26 2022-Reinstated 5mgs celexa and started HORRIBLE side effects immediately.

Stayed on for almost 5 weeks and stopped.

October 31 2022- Off

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Totally normal for covid, but it would be good to avoid any future reinfections. Your immune system is taxed heavily by reinfection, which is why so many people who have recovered from covid can’t stop getting sick.

I’m really glad you’re able to sleep, and if you can do anything to help your nervous system calm down, that’ll help with recovery times. Weighted blankets, soothing guided meditations or media, talking to a loved one, etc, do whatever you can do to prioritize soothing the nervous system.

To chat, go up to the top and click the little envelope. You’ll be able to compose a message from there to someone.

Has anyone experienced a setback from Covid??

I have not had covid, but I know many, many people who have. It’s an efficient virus that goes after every major system! Totally normal to have high anxiety and heart rate.

Please get yourself and your husband checked out by a cardiologist after you’ve fully recovered, even if you feel fine. I don’t want to make your anxiety worse, but Covid actively injures the heart and reinfection increases your risk. You’ll probably be fine, but good to get it checked out in case there’s something that needs early intervention. Please look into it early, especially since you and your husband are both having a high heart rate. Young, previously healthy people are having heart attacks.

Okay, I just laid a lot on you, so can we circle back to taking care of self-soothing that nervous system? Anything that calms you down (soothing music, bath, shower, nap, meditation, etc) is your friend right now. You’re going to be all right, remind yourself that your body is strong and always working towards healing.

Insane gut wrenching terror I’ve never felt before, terrible surges, insomnia and inner agitation.

When this happens, remind yourself that it’s normal. This is totally normal to feel what you’re feeling. If need be, distract yourself. Play a game, soothe your inner child. Your body can heal itself. All storms run out of rain, you know? Another way of saying all things pass. Remind yourself you are going to be okay.

I need some help! Strep throat is currently going around my household right now, and I’m freaking out about getting sick and having to take antibiotics. I’m 12 months out from my reaction. If I do get sick, I plan on having a culture done to confirm but I’m terrified of taking antibiotics due to setbacks and how badly they affect people with a sensitized nervous system. are antibiotics a must or can the body fight it on its own? I have severe ptsd from pills and idk what to do at this point. I don’t want to make myself worse

Immediate adverse reaction

lexapro 5mg 3x 1/27/22, 1/28/22, 1/30/22

Buspirone 7mg 1x 1/27/22

last dose 1/30/2022
