Hi @kayahan

welcome to SA. I am really sorry that you are suffering with suicidal ideation. Many of our members suffer from anhedonia. It gets better over time.

How long have you been on these drugs? Can you pls list your drug history so we can help you better? This is how you would do it.

How to List Drug History in Signature - Introductions and updates - Surviving Antidepressants

We do not recommend getting off of psychiatric drugs fast because it can cause withdrawal symptoms unless you have been on the drugs for less than a few weeks. Our recommended rate of taper is no more than 10% of your previous dose every 4 weeks. Please read this thread carefully. Tapering things faster can make things even worse. If you lowering your dose by 10% every 4 weeks well, then you can see if you can speed up the process by making a 10% reduction every 3 weeks. We also recommend tapering one drug at a time. In your case abilify may be more likely to give you the anhedonia. Why were you prescribed abilify? Zoloft?

Why taper by 10% of my dosage? - Tapering - Surviving Antidepressants

Once you fill in your drug signature we can help you with more concrete advice.

Hope you feel better soon,

OMW

I added my story to my signature. my doctor prescribed abilify to increase dopamine partially. he also asked me to block my ambivalent thoughts. but now there is intense anhedonia and apathy. I'm trying to cope with anhedonia and I'm pushing myself. but apathy and indifference are killing me. Even listening to music doesn't make any sense to me. 2 months ago I was much worse, but what I wanted was not indifference in the good. @Onmyway

@kayahan, you can stop the meds if you wish, what you do with your meds is up to you.

Here we advise that you taper at no more than 10% of your previous dose because going faster can cause severe withdrawal symptoms. I have linked the threads where you can get more information. What you do with that information is up to you. You have made a lot of changes recently - seems like your system is destabilized. It seems like your doctor is playing a guessing game with your brain. I don't know that switching to new drugs will help.
