Shanti
Sounds like a good regime Peggy. When I was pretty bad, i couldn't walk much. But ANYTHING will help, as long as you don't overdo it. Therefore, I'll share what I do too. I can't do a full yoga workout but there are a few poses that I do that help me. I do them every other day. It helps mostly with the pain. I walk 1 block. I can probably move that up to 2 now. And, meditation as well. I do this a lot during the day. It's a major part of my spiritual practice and I think that is the most important part of my healing from these meds. Taper from Cymbalta, Paxil, Prozac & Antipsychotics finished June 2012. Xanax 5% Taper - (8/12 - .5 mg) - (9/12 - .45) - (10/12 - .43) - (11/12 - .41) - (12/12 - .38) My Paxil Website My Intro
Moderator Emeritus basildev Posted March 5, 2013 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted March 5, 2013 Hey Peggy, I do yoga twice a week - unless I'm really zonked from not sleeping. And I do meditation - I like to do loving kindness meditations (I have a few guided ones I use. Jack Kornfield is my fav) to remind me that there are other people in the world who are suffering and we're all in the same boat. July 2001 prescribed 20mg citalopram for depression; On and off meds from 2003-2006.February 2006 back on 20mg citalopram and stayed on it until my last attempt at tapering in September 2011.By far the worst withdrawal symptoms ever. Reinstated to 20mg citalopramOctober 2012 - found this forum!Nov 2012 to Feb 2013 did 10% taper, got doen to 11mg - was going great until stressful situation. Cortisol levels hit the roof, hideous insomnia forced me to updose to 20mg.March 2016 - close to 100% back to normal!****** I am not a medical practitioner, any advice I give comes from my own experience or reading and is only my perspective ******
