Sottana
@sunnysideup69 @ChessieCat last thing I need is more waves 🤣🤣 @Longroadhome not doing great, my friend. Will probably just start tapering again soon as ive never really had any kind of stability. 2008: start Lexapro 10 mg which is quickly upped to 20 mg. 2008:2013 try at least four individual times to get off Lexapro, never get lower than 5mg, settle at 15 mg. 2015: again, attempt to get off Lexapro and get to 5 mg. After 6 months, feel i'm stabilizing but go back on a higher dose because of one stressful event. 2016: go to 20 mg from 15 mg due to work stresses, hit severe tolerance for the first time and become very suicidal. 2016-2017: try viibryd and cymbata in an attempt to feel better. Also add Lamictal 150 at some point. 2017: eventually land on paxil 37.5 and Lamictal 150. January 2018: cut paxil to 25. April-July 2018: reduce Lamictal in 50 mg increments till im off August. 2018: reduce paxil to 20 mg. december 2018: dropped Paxil to 18 mg, SEVERE CRASH. Sottana
@sunnysideup69ive actually been holding for about 6 weeks now. I do have random moments of peace, but it’s mostly overshadowed by a non-stop onslaught of symptoms. Sottana
Also worth noting I’ve had a few reactions. I didn’t react well to switching to the 15 mg pills. Then, I accidentally missed when I usually take my dose and decided to move it up about two hours. Shortly after that, I seemed to react to a juice I drank with burdock root in it. I’ve felt like I’ve been in acute WD ever since. 2008: start Lexapro 10 mg which is quickly upped to 20 mg. 2008:2013 try at least four individual times to get off Lexapro, never get lower than 5mg, settle at 15 mg. 2015: again, attempt to get off Lexapro and get to 5 mg. It's so frustrating, the things we react to. My spots had gone but have made a reappearance after getting stressed out about not going home in 23rd. Got myself stressed and ate sugar. Then had a wobbly day and spots. Our systems are so accutely sensitive because of these darn drugs/ WD. They will heal, but it takes a lot longer than I thought. Longroadhome
@Sottana Merry Christmas 🎄 It could be you’re reacting to things you’re doing or taking but truthfully no one knows. It’s sometimes not worth surmising as this can make your anxiety worse and intensify symptoms . what’s done is done snd best left there. Look towards moving forward take one day at a time or one hour at a time. Start logging your symptoms daily I have started doing this snd found that I do have windows all be it short inbetween the waves 🌊 It also helps me to pin point something I may have inadvertently done that’s brought on an intensification of symptoms instead of looking for causes . It helps me put it to bed and move on. Have faith in your body snd know it is healing that’s why you’re getting the symptoms. yes it’s scary and frightening but it’s temporary and will eventually pass. Sottana
@sunnysideup69 @Longroadhome thank you guys, I really appreciate it. I’m very much stuck in this mindset that creating my own mixture is creating small inaccuracies that are keeping me destabilized. It’s so hard for me to get past this. On the one hand, I suffered with obsessions prior to this WD experience, so it could just be that. On the other hand, I’ve become so damn sensitive in this experience that I think anything is possible. The trauma of all these vicious symptoms and and the length of time it has gone on is really starting to wear me down pretty badly. I hope I see some light and progress soon. Sottana
I don’t think I can handle tapering any more for a while longer 😞. It may be that time of day is the "lull" for everyone and makes us in WD worse. Keep a log of what you eat, when, and see if symptoms spike or are related to WHAT your eating. It may be something as simple as too much sugar all at one time. That's what was causing my afternoon sleep paralysis 5 years ago, the afternoon carbs converting to sugar and rushing to my brain. Also, dehydration is almost chronic for most Americans, make sure your getting 6 ounces every 90 minutes. Our bodies can only absorb so much water in any 22 minute period, so make sure you spread your liquid out. Dehydration can make all sorts of WD issues worse. sunnysideup69
Hello @Sottana, Just catching up on some threads here and catching up on yours, sorry to read you are feeling wonky. God, doesn't this all just take an enormous amount of patience? Which do you reckon you'll do - hold for now, or taper? I suppose you could do a bit of both...e.g. give your self a date past which you won't hold any longer and will do a tiny cut again? Are you getting out and about/ socialising at all? ( Not sure what the 'plague' restrictions are like where you are......) Sending you support and big hugs, as always. January 2008 to April 2015 Citalopram 20mg to 5mg, reducing in 50 per cent leaps. Jumped off at 5mg March 2016 used MDMA triggered setback April 2016 Citalopram 10mg October 2016 cut to 5mg, May 2017 cut to 2.5mg May 2018 used MDMA triggered setback June 2018 Citalopram 2.5mg up to 10mg, then back to 5mg July/ August 2018 7.5mg, then 10mg June 2019 updosed to 20mg Citalopram August 2019 cold switch to Venlafaxine 75mg XR Supplements; 1100mg fish oil daily; also 100mg Magnesium Glycinate. Tried Vagifem 10mcg from mid May 2021 to mid June 2021; caused depression, so stopped. Link to comment

Hopefully I do but I need a backup plan I guess. Yeah, we’re pretty similar long road. Thanks for popping in friends. I think it’s no coincidence we’re both on Paxil and have never been free of symptoms. but I’m right there with you Adili we started this journey together and we’re tapering and coming off Paxil together and we’re both proving along the way that it can be done .’ are you less afraid of your symptoms once you get use to them ? Because I think you are coping really well. read your thread when you started to now. You are so much more informed, far less panicky (we all were to start with when we landed here) and much more confident in your own ability to taper. You have changed my friend in a very positive way. You have the strength to succeed. Longroadhome
That’s ok Adili as long as you are ok I completely understand where you are coming from regarding holding or tapering and being so symptomatic. you have to do what you feel is best . No one can say as each person travels their own unique path to recovery. Sottana
@Longroadhomeim going to wait one more month, and if no improvements, I’ll start tapering again. Recently read articles about the potential long-term risks of using paroxetine and it seems like holding long-term has its own risks as well. There’s no perfect solution to this and anyone that tells you there is is lying through their teeth.
