I picked up 2 plastic totes full of jeans and hurt my back, so I'm on an anti inflammatory, pain pill and muscle relaxer. Just started them last night. Hope I heal fast.

 

I don't know if you celebrate Thanksgiving, but I'll say Happy Thanksgiving!

I know the akasthisia was caused by my taper. After a couple of days it went away. So that will be a new symptom I will get when tapering on top of the nausea.

 

I will be so glad when we are all off these horrible drugs and can be normal again, whatever that is.

Hmmmm, Sorry about the Akathisia, that is my nightmare too, I have been in Akathisia state for months, its not fun at all. 

 

Be careful of dropping your dosage, because if you drop too fast, you might have these effects. 

 

It will be so great if we are all off this evil med, let's keep hope and this will happen one day,  soon!

Some updates:

 

I haven't been doing updates for a long time... 

 

Recently I have been hit by bad waves pretty hard. I am now at 4.3mg of Lexapro for 3 weeks and my symptoms still up and down. 

 

Hopefully I will get better soon.

Updating my Signature and copy the old one here:

 

2006 October Zoloft 50mg for anxiety. After 1.5 years stopped gradually in one month. Then relapsed after 4-5 months took back for 5 years then up dosed to 100mg 1 year.

2013 March Lexapro 10mg for 18 months to 2015 September.

2015 September increased to 20mg for 7 weeks but getting worse: heart beating to 125bpm, no appetite, nausea, hands trembling and extremely worsening anxiety, restless.

2015 3rd November dropped back to 10mg directly, heart beating calmed down on the 2nd month.

Since 2016 Still bad anxiety (obsessive negative thinking) , stomach upset, slightly depressed(since W/D always a bit depressed...).

After 4 months, up and down... 10th month, big horrible wave, (now known as Akathisia symptoms). Lasts 2 months.

2016 11th November taper to 9mg, was good for 1.5 week, then Akathisia hit again for 4-5 days then good windows for a while. This keeps for 1 month.

2016 20th December akathisia started again with new intense restless legs symptom and insomnia symptom. Better after 2 weeks, then up and down. 

2017 8th Feburary Symptoms worsening, for recent 5 days almost 7/24, unbearable, usually much worse after taking, to 4 hours after taking, severe heart palp up to 135bpm. Then I am sure it's all meds caused.

2017 3rd March Taper to 8.8mg for experiment. Much better, then Fast taper start: 10th-8.6mg, 12th-8.2mg, 17th-8.0mg (Sleeping much better, heart rate dropped). 22rd-7.7mg (missed a dose, symptoms worsening). 27th-7.4mg.

April 2nd- 6.9mg (WD start), 19th-6.5mg. Failed one day Cymbalta trial, took back Lexapro, much worse Akathisia torture. Keep holding. 

May 22nd- 6.3mg June 10th- 5.7mg Nov- 4.4mg

yes. Still holding at 5 mg. 

Depression is eating me alive. Anxiety. Dp/dr the worse. Nausea and headaches. 

Thinking about making a small drop next week. Maybe it will alleviate symptoms a bit? After almost 7 mo, they seem to be getting worse. Doesn’t help that it’s freezing outside and hard to get out. Feeling trapped like a rat. In my own mind and in my house. Lg

So sorry to hear that, I know these symptoms are not funny I got these symptoms a lot as well! And also I have awful Akathisia. Please keep hope. 

 

And are you having reactions from the Lexapro or that's just you WD? Wd can be up and down for a while, so please be patient. If you feel it is reaction from the med, maybe try monitor the daily pattern. If your symptoms worsening after Lexapro dosage everyday the same, it might be the reactions. Please let me know.

My god you tapering so fast! I am happy for you! I wish I could lower that fast too because I hate Lexapro so much! I think you should hold for a while and see how's going.

Oh Rain, I just don’t know what’s what. I think I need to try lowering a little bit to see. The akathasia stopped after I dropped last time. But it’s back. I haven’t changed anything in 5 mo. I do know that the anxiety was ramping up the last several months on lex before I started my taper. I never did feel well on it. Now, I’ve got more meds added to the mix. And I’ve never had a good window. Just a few days that are a little better. 

 

How has your your heart rate been? I was put on metoprolol but rate is still high. It fluctuates but was 115 when I got up this morning. 

 

What kind of syringe do you use?

i have a 5 ml but doesn’t seem precise enough. It seems impossible to get down by drops.

I'm doing better. Do you take anything for your headaches?

 

I use a 10ml syringe and I draw a red line where to draw it up to. Makes it easier to see and not make mistakes.

if headaches are unbearable, then I take 1 Advil and 1 Tylenol. I try not to take more than once a day, if at all. 

I just don’t see that my 5 or 10 ml syringes are that accurate to get maybe 4.63. Know what I mean? Maybe I’m overthinking it.

It sounds reactions to me. Did you get Akathisia as soon as you start taking your Lexapro or it started to give you trouble after you take for a while?

The anxiety for me could be mild form of Akathisia.

And Yes your symptoms are exactly like mine! Every symptom I have got! I also found that Beta Blocker doesn't help me but give me depression and anxiety after it left out of my system. 

 

I taking Benzo (Lorazepam) if I need it, but not everyday.

how long were you on the beta blocker?  Did you taper it or just stop after a short term use?  You think it ramped up your symptoms? I can definitely see it causing anxiety to increase as your heart rate would also increase.  But depression got worse too? Please let me know how you tapered it. I saw on your thread where the dr prescribed it but my blurry eyes couldn’t read any further to find out what happened after that.

I didn't take Beta Blocker daily, I only took it longest about 3 days, due to it caused me depressed, so I stopped CT and then I feel bad anxiety and heart palps. 

 

But if you take it daily, I think you should taper it as I saw some people on this forum taper this, but it's easier than SSRIs.

Don't worry about Beta Blocker, I don't think its hard to off, compare with the SSRIs.
