Moderator Frogie Posted January 14, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted January 14, 2017 Frogie - It never gave me diarrhea. Maybe you could try a small about. I would drink an ounce at bedtime. I believe your gut will heal. I was nauseous for 15 months and I am better. It was a very slow process. I tried everything to feel better and I believe the only thing that helped was time. I know you don't want to hear that because I know you want to feel better now. Ho O2bhappy, I guess I could try it. Just a small amount. I do want to feel better. Thanks for caring. Moderator Frogie Posted January 16, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted January 16, 2017 You don't need to apologize for anything. We are both in the same situation, unfortunately with our stomachs. Mine seems to get upset now when I get upset, so it's the cortisol that's going on. I just need to learn to be calmer. I hope you feel better soon. O2bhappy
Frogie - I know you said that ginger upset your stomach but have you tried ginger candy. It isn't the same as the raw ginger. I lived on ginger candy for my nausea. Just another thing I thought about that you can try. Discontinued Fluoxetine cold turkey after taking it for 12 years. Stopped taking Fluoxetine in August 2015. My current withdrawal symptoms: Itchy skin, smell hallucination, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, and anxiety. Synthroid for hypothyroidism. Link to comment

But my nausea is a little better. I figured out that if I get worried or worked up about something, then I'm nauseous. As long as I stay calm, I'm ok. But life doesn't go that way. Flowers
Hi Frogie Oh no - sorry to hear you have had a bad shoulder. Hope your chest infection is better too. I had a bad reaction to steroids but it happened very quickly after taking them.I had a lot of anxiety but am very sensitive to any meds. Did you have to reduce the dose gradually before stopping them? I think if you took your last pill today you would know in the next couple of days if you are having a reaction to stopping them. If you do another cut on your Lexapro and get symptoms you may not know which has caused it. Maybe hold off the taper for a few days. I am not a medical expert though and just giving you my thoughts. If yes, make the reduction. If no, then wait until they stabilize. That said, steroids are endocrine hormones that interact with the CNS. It might be wise to wait until you've put 10-14 days between you and the last steroid dose before reducing dose. This is not medical advice.
