I am sorry to read that you aren't doing well, Manny. Both akathisia and tardive dyskinesia are possible side effects of anti-psychotics so could explain what you are currently experiencing.

I am going to make another cut. If so bad I will take more biperiden. Lastly take some klonopin 0,25mg in the morning or Less (0,125mg).I don't have a pill cutter. I take klonopin 0,25mg at night. I want off  neuroleptics.

Biperiden 4mg it doesn't do anything on me. My psychiatrist doesn't want to give me propranolol. I am afraid of new psy drugs. I don't want propranolol or other drugs. If I increase either klonopin or biperiden. I need to taper them. Klonopin seems to help me to sleep and to have less akathisia. I think abilify when I take it increases my aka. Maybe do a fast taper with it.

This last cut made me bad. It is almost a month since my last cut and I am getting worse these couple of days. I have pain in my legs. I get spasms on them. Also, in my ribs,arms,pectorals,and face.

I tried upping my biperiden 1mg. I didn't help that much. My psychiatrist says biperiden causes memory problems and to be tell you the truth, I couldn't think clearly and have some less tremor. Think to go back to my previous dose of abilify (abilify 1,9ml). What do you Guys think? Klonopin definitely help, but I am so low in klonopin that I don't want to go to Klonopin 0,25mg (1-0-1).

Nov,16,2022 - Abilify 1,95ml

Dec 16th,2022 - Abilify 1,90ml

January 13th,2023 - Abilify 1,85ml (I was bad but I still decided to cut).I thought I could handle a 0,05ml cut monthly. 

January 14th,2023 - Abilify 1,85ml (I was much worse with the tremors than January 13th,2023)

January 14th,2023 - Biperiden 5mg-took 1 mg extra because my body was shaking and I couldn't deal with. 

Thinking going back to 1,90ml and stabilize and make a 0,02ml cut monthly like 1,9ml,1,98ml,1,95ml and so on. The tremors are so bad that I can't function. I Can't function either with 0,05ml cut monthly. It is either  1)upping klonopin that can cause tolerance and kindling, 2)upping biperiden 1 or 2mg. I already take 4mg extended release, 3)go back to my previous dose of abilify 1,9ml to try to stabilize. I am already in tolerance with abilify and the cuts that I make now can be worse. Anyone want to share their experience with abilify's taper?

Anyone taking Klonopin 2,5mg/ml solution? My girlfriend was prescribed 14 drops. 1 drop is equal to 0,1mg. 1ml is equal to 2,5mg and 1ml is equal to 25 drops.She is supposed to take 5 drops in the morning,and 10 drops at night for a total of 1,4mg.She takes Klonopin 0,5mg (1-0-2). I measured 5 drops with the a syringe of 1ml and 5 drops are equal to 0,05ml.Is this correct? I am also concerned of the 10 percent monthly reduction.

My calculations are different than yours. 

 

If her total dose is 1.4mg and the solution is 2.5mg/ml, that's equivalent to 0.56mL for the day.

Hi MedRn,thank you for replying. She has been prescribed 14 drops at night,but we are doing 5 drops in the morning and 1 mg of 2 hard pills of 0,5mg.What I want to know is if 14 drops total is 1,4mg.

My girlfriend and I want to take the morning dose out.I read in prescription insert 5 drops equal to 0,2ml. It is not a compounded pharmacy. I want to make sure we are not tapering more than 10 percent.She has to taper 1 drop each month. She has a mixed personality disorder.She takes 12 pills daily.

Hello everyone. I need help. My gf was basically CTed Klonopin. In one month they took her out of Klonopin 1,5mgs. She was reincarnated at 1,5mg of k again.Since that time she started having low blood pressure and tachycardia. We tried the Klonopin liquid,not  compounded. She takes 3 pills in the morning (Cymbalta 60 Mg, Eutirox and Klonopin 0,30 mg dry cut),1 pill in the afternoon (Cymbalta 60 Mg)and 8 pills at night (toviaz, Lormetazepam 1mg,rivotril 1 mg, Zyprexa 10mg, risperidone 6 mg, Simvastatina,omeprazol).They are too many pills. Is she bad because of the CT? She doesn't stabilize.We tried Klonopin 2,5mg/ml decreasing 1 drop each month, from 0,5 mg to 0,3mg. It made her bad. Thank you very much,

1. So they tapered the klonopin over a period of 1 month? Or they CT'd her klonopin abruptly, and she took zero mg of it for one month?

2. So she's taking two benzos (Lormetazepam and rivotril) and 2 antipsychotics (Zyprexa aka olanzapine; risperidone). All of those 4 meds have strong sedative effects, and THEREFORE I believe they (together) are what's causing the low blood pressure.

4. You say her Klonopin liquid taper "made her bad". What exactly do you mean by that?

5. You say she was "reincarnated" (reinstated) at 1.5mg Klonopin. Then you tapered it from 0.5mg to 0.3mg. So how/when did it go from 1.5mg to 0.5mg?

6. Please pause all her tapers for now, until you have a clearer idea of what's going on with her health.

7. Note: Klonopin is the same as Rivotril. You can simplify her drug intake by taking just one of the two, instead of both.

she took 2 Klonopins at night(1mg) and with the 0,5 mgs in the morning we tapered making 0, 1mls decrements.

 

0,1 ml each month. 

We made 2 drops with rivotril/ Klonopin 2,5mg/ml. We went from Klonopin 0,5 mg to 0,30mg. We did this for two months.

Sorry I can't give a good advice about the meds, other than that all psychotropics (ADs and APs) decrease the blood pressure Two long shots:

  - the thyroid medication might be relevant, did she get her thyroid hormones checked after starting it?

  - it might sound silly, but hot weather makes the low blood pressure worse, and it is what triggers tachycardia I think (the heart tries to compensate). Very simple natural remedy is drinking salty ayran, esp. when out in the sun. BUT if the Toviaz is making her retain liquids, this might make it dangerous to retain salt too, so please check with the doctor who prescribed it first! How much water does she drink in a day?

 

/edit: Toviaz might be related to the blurred vision. Try asking her doctors to lower some of the drug(s) rather than increasing them or adding even more:

Her thyroid her doc is ok. she is taking Eutirox 75mg, that causes sleep.

1 liter per day. It depends on the day.She might drink more than 1 liter.

I have tachycardia since they almost cold turkeyed me from Klonopin. We don't know if she should go to the full dose 0,5mg Klonopin in the morning, or stay at Klonopin 0,30mg. Many months have happened since we started to taper Klonopin again.We started tapering in September 2023.after a couple of months reinstate.

Exactly, yogurt mixed with water 1:1 (you can steer it with a fork) and some salt added to your taste. Folks from the middle East even add black pepper, if you like the taste. Don't know if you can find unsweetened yogurt - if you have some Turkish, Balkan on arab shop nearby, they should have it, or döner places usually sell ayran as a drink. The Indian lassi drink, if you have it salty, should also be good for the purprose. It's of course not as strong as medication, but it's a very side-effect free way of coping with the low blood pressure. I guess this is why it's popular in countries with hot weather.

Anyone experience with tapering very fast and reinstatement at a low dose and not stabilizing? Psychiatrist did a fast taper ( 2mg of Klonopin in 2 months), reinstatement at 1,5mg of Klonopin after the fast taper.I developed tachycardia during reinstatement. Went to psychiatrist he said none of the drugs I give you gives tachycardia.I am taking two neuroleptics ( risperidone 6mg and Zyprexa 10 Mg). She said risperidone can cause tachycardia. Before I took risperidone 6mg and Zyprexa 10 mgs and never had tachycardia.New psychiatrist wants me to go back to the original dose (1-1-2, Klonopin 0,5mg)and taper risperidone at the same time ( go from risperidone 6mg to 5mg). Can I get kindled if I up my Klonopin to 2mgs total).I can't taper risperidone either because it is more than a 10 percent cut. This what she want me to take:
