2:30 AM joint pain – Tylenol 250 mg

Woke up with warm feet and arms a bit pink, unbalanced, tired,

Morning, tremors aren’t as bad, mouth known as dry

6 AM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg

12:30 PM numb hands

2 PM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg

4 PM sertraline 32 mg

8 PM small window

9 PM melatonin 1 mg

9:45 PM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg
10:30 PM bedtime

slept four hours, tremors, right leg and arms as usual, Sometimes jaw

6 AM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg

2 PM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg

feeling cold this afternoon

4 PM sertraline 32 mg

7 PM sore tooth, Tylenol 250 mg

9 PM melatonin 1.25 mg, upped the dose a bit so that I can get a bit more sleep

drink honey and salt, apparently good for adrenal glands and helps you sleep

Hi @Shepmy last taper of my sertraline was April 24 from 33.6 mg to 32.9 mg. So tomorrow will be a week at that dose, my tremors are really bad and I think they’re being caused by the sertraline I wonder if it’s OK to drop another .4 mg tomorrow in order to help lessen the tremors.

@ShepI noticed that one of the symptoms of discontinuing anti-depressants is also tremors so I guess I’ll just hold.

Did you have tremors as a side effect of this drug before you started tapering?

I don’t think so but I wasn’t on it too long before I started tapering and started the Pregabalin shortly after. Tremors just  gradually got worse. I have noticed that my tremors or shakes get worse when I am agitated or upset about something.

Thanks, Pens. This sounds like hypersensitivity due to withdrawal. So it's wise to hold.

 

I just posted these links to another member, but I think you may also want to check them out and see if learning to calm your nervous system and float through stressors helps with the tremors.

 

If you haven't already done so, you may want to check out the work of Dr. Claire Weekes. She talks about both the physical and the psychological aspects of anxiety. Granted, it's by far worse due to withdrawal, but the talks are still worth checking out.

You may want to switch to unsweetened coconut water instead of Gatorade. You can add fresh or frozen fruit and mix it in a blender to give the unsweetened coconut water some flavor. Also make sure you're drinking plenty of clean water. Gatorade is full of all sorts of things that can cause problems in withdrawal.

OK, thank you for the advice I have been drinking lots of water too. My daughter says she has trouble with Too much sugar as well so I’m cutting back and am aware that I will  probably have withdrawal symptoms from that. It’s only been a couple days but I do feel a bit better. I think the worst part is the tremors and dizziness I’m still wondering if that’s caused from the medication, sertraline, itself. I seem to be waking up a lot through the night. I have noticed that my incontinence is starting to clear up and not sure if that’s from the sugar reduction. As always thank you for your advice. Sorry you're having to go through this. Your dentist is correct - many of us deal with lots of dental issues due to these drugs. Serotonin drugs also cause bone loss, so that can also cause dental issues. We're all much healthier when we're off these drugs.

This sounds like a good plan. Unsweetened coconut water is a great substitute for Gatorade (and other high-chemical, high-sugar sports drinks) and also has loads of electrolytes, especially potassium.

25mg was my dosage, may 10mg(from 10 too 5 was hard), 5mg in end of june every lowar dosage gave me alot of issues. clean in end of june.

Pens, in 2014-15 I had to have four teeth extracted over the course of 16 months.  Other than getting the hiccups as a side effect of the anesthesia, I had no problems, and I was given antibiotics.  A couple Advil and ice did the trick for pain, and I didn't need any after the first day, in most cases.  Its certainly better than dealing with tooth pain.

i’ve missed posting for a while haven’t been feeling very well having trouble making notes I can’t write my hands feel numb and shaky. Lots of anxiety. Will try and catch up.

12:30 Pm went to dentist and had tooth pulled, he gave me about five injections for numbing, eek!

1 PM very agitated

Naproxen at 2:40 PM 325 mg times two

2 PM pre-Gabalin 15.4 mg

Today’s been awful. My tremors are really bad and I had to go to town for blood test. My muscles tensed right up on me. I can hardly move. It’s like when I have to do anything outside my home or anything that makes me nervous or stressed my body shakes really bad it affects  my shoulders and legs and face. I don’t know if that’s caused from the sertraline cause I know they give you bad tremors. Not sure what to do. I was to the dentist three days ago and he gave me about four injections for numbing because it wasn’t taking my nerves were so bad, but I’ve had these tremors before my dental appointment.

Six hours sleep woke up with tremors some anxiety  later tremors let up a bit

A.m.depressed and dizzy

Got my blood test back it shows my ferritin is quite high so I’m going to try and cut back on any foods that are high in iron. I don’t know if this is contributing to some of my side effects.

@PensThis thread may help with your antibiotic questions. 

 

Cipro, Levaquin, Azithromycin (Z-Pack), and other antibiotics

 

The fluoroquinolone antibiotics are by far the most toxic to folks going through withdrawal, especially anyone with a benzo history. Thankfully, there are other antibiotics besides the fluoroquinolones that tend to be safer if you need one.
