Moderator Emeritus ChessieCat Posted February 5, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) You might find that learning life coping skills would also be helpful. And I think it is good to realise that having times when our mood is low/lower is just part of being human. I have found it helpful to assess what is going on with or around me that might be causing me to being feeling down. For example have I been sleeping less/having late nights, eating healthy food, eating often enough to keep my blood sugar levels from fluctuating too much, have I been overstimulated by noise, lights, crowds, have I been unwell or in pain. Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted December 7, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted December 7, 2021 I merged 2 topics by Sacam7. There was a thread in Symptoms and Self Care forum, with 4 posts asking "Are there people that have been successful in managing their depression and anxiety after getting off these meds completely?" The first post is by Sacam7, dated January 31, 2021. The answers by ChessieCat and OnMyWay are dated Feb 4, 2021, then there is a response by Sacam7 on Feb 4, 2021 thanking them. It may be confusing, because these posts are mixed in with the posts of the intro thread. Please keep all your questions about your personal situation in this one thread, to avoid confusion and duplication of efforts. Thank you. Please do not private message me. Only tag me for urgent questions about tapering and reinstating - thank you. ***Please note this is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a doctor who understands psych meds and how to withdraw from them, if you can find one.
