Zaneta
Hey, I started following your thread, how are you feeling? I've been taking prozac for 6 msc, started with 10 mg, I'm on trace amounts, overall medication about 3 years. I have a question, when taking it was there also a feeling of being high? Everything so off to the side, as if life does not concern you.... Terrible feeling, I preferred my full-blown anxiety neurosis with ocd.... But like most of you I am struggling, listening to your advice, and wishing you all good health. 2020-2022 - benzodiazepines 2021 - took fluanxol for a few months 2021 - started Prozac 2023 - currently taking a crumb of Prozac every 4 days Link to comment

OMW @Jasminecat please take @Onmyway 's advice. I noticed since stopping prozac 21+ months ago, anything that stresses the kidneys will give you unneccesary grief and and anxiety. Think about all the things SA warns about Alchohol, caffiene, sugar, THC(cannabis is like evil sugar for your CNS), and any diuretic will trigger not so nice feelings. All these things give the kidneys and liver extra work where they can't help detox your brain(its obviously much more complicated biology on paper). On top of that adrenal fatigue which almost everyone coming off of these drugs suffers from. Walking/moving around helps a lot. 2011 bupropion 2011-2013 Ritalin then mostly adderall March 2017 - August 2017 sertraline 50mg September 2017 - January 2019 Duloxetine 20mg February 2020 - July 2020 Lexapro 10mg August 2020 - mid September 2020 paroxetine mid September 2020 - mid May 2021 10mg fluoxetine Mid May - June 1st 10mg fluoxetine every other day June 1st cold turkey Link to comment

I had about 6 good weeks, maybe like what you're reffering to, before it all slowly started going to hell. Jasminecat
Hello everyone! Thank you a million for all the responses! I read your posts and realized I was doing a bunch of stuff wrong, I was having many many cups of coffee a day. Now I am only having one in the morning and it has made a huge difference already in a few days. I also stopped taking THC- I had no idea it was making things worse and I stopped with any alcohol or aspirin. Anxiety has calmed down immensely. Also my brain is not swirling around with crazy thoughts or paranoia. Its not perfect but its as if I feel much more myself. So thank you OMW and thank you Casuallymagic for that!!!! It has made a world of difference. I only hope and pray it continues. To Zaneta, being on Prozac is horrible. These drugs are not helping and actually making us sicker. Try going off them and youll see what I mean. Wish I never put one of those pills in my body. The feeling at first is like being high but more numb. I feel like it makes you almost too calm and almost zombie like. Not as aware and not as sharp. It blunts your senses and your emotions. It blocks dopamine so any high you might feel from falling in love lets say is muted. It does give you some highs, where you may feel happy. After awhile though, the more you take it, the less effect it has. You just feel blah. Wishing everyone good health and peace.
