Also my pdoc is going to place me on a leave from work.

This is good news... I can tell you that all of this is much easier to deal with when you can reduce some of the noise of everyday life.  I'm very happy for you!

It sounds like you've gotten some great advice on stabilizing where you are.  I certainly have nothing further to add- just sending lots of love and support your way! :)

1995- 2007- On and off multiple antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, Effexor, Wellbutrin, escitalopram). Memory poor- can’t remember dates. Always tapered fast or CT.  2007- tapered Wellbutrin and escitalopram to get pregnant.

2009- Daughter born 🥰

2016- Back on escitalopram

2022- Diagnosed with long covid 08/22.

2023- 01/23- Long term disability approved for long covid.  Started taper under MD advice from 20mg: 11/23- 15mg. 2024- 03/24-10mg. Started low dose naltrexone for long covid-5mg- terrible reaction, reduced to 0.5mg.  04/24- 10mg escitalopram, 1.0mg LDN. 05/24- 9.0mg escitalopram, 1.0mg LDN.

Hi Itsalyssadood,

Hope you have had a better night?

So sorry that you are having such a rough time. I just wanted to say that I experience the same electrical sensations you are speaking about, and it scares me as well. I have them right now. It seems as a new WD symptom, that appeared only recently (when I went below 0.5 mg). Do you feel it as if your nerves are wired and these give a burning sensation?

I have been experiencing negative/intrusive thoughts as well. They come and go. I have some tools to deal with them, and then it can be that after a few days they are gone. It usually has to do with self-doubt, self-negativity and then I know that I need to be more kind to myself. Also I take note of these thoughts and then I realize that they are distorting reality. Could it be, that you could be a bit more kind to yourself? Hope I am making some sense. Take care 🌼

2018 - started with Lexapro 10 mg tablets, increased from 5 mg to 8 mg

2020 - first attempt of tapering, but quickly reinstated initial dose. Moved to 20mg/ml drops.

2022 - tapering as of January from 8 mg, October 2022 - 0.90 mg, 2023, May & June - 0.65 mg

2023 June 23 - 0.6 mg Lexapro, 2023 August 5 - 0.59 mg Lexapro, 2023 September 1 - 0.5mg Lexapro, 2023 November 1 - 0.48mg

2024 January 15 - 0.40mg, March 1 - 0.38 mg, April 7 - 0.36 mg, April 15 - 0.35 mg

Manasatva 3 tablets a day

Jatamansi and Ayurenergy Ayurvedic supplements 2 tablets a day and vitamin D - 1 tablet a day

Hey @Dee12h, I am here.

I’ll decided to take a break from all these groups as it was making me become obsessed with finding an answer. I’m not feeling much better, but have had a few windows which I think is a good sign of healing.  Today was a wave day so that sucks. Just trying to roll with the punches. The psychological part is the worst to be honest. B

Akathisia from 5-50mg doses of Zoloft 3/2022

10mg of Lexapro since 4/2022

Taper began 6/2022: 5.0mg

End of 2022: 3.2mg

End of 2023: 1.8mg

2024 taper:

2/3/24: 1.76mg

3/2/24: 1.7mg

4/24/24: 1.72mg and holding

The electrical pulse only came the night I took the 1.76mg when the drug peaked. It’s like a spinning electric pulse. Luckily it didn’t happen again.

I believe you’re right; I’m pretty negative to myself and my situation so I’ve been trying to think the opposite. It’s so hard when you’re in this situation but you’ve got to try and try again.  I hope you’re doing okay.

Update:

Only updosed to 1.72. So far I’ve been having some days with windows that can last 1-2 hours. Mornings are rough; filled with crying spells and awful looping thoughts that make me feel stuck.

I have been tracking my days since this started; I think an admin may have mention to do this if anyone would like to see it all.

No, she didn’t. She actually left it up to me if I wanted to updose or not.

I am happy to hear you have been getting some windows. I sincerely hope you will be able to be kind to yourself, I know it’s not easy. You are very strong and brave sharing your tapering experience so openly 🌸

I’m around your age and I feel sometimes like a child that needs care and someone to say that all will be OK. I don’t see it as something you should criticize yourself about. But I can beat myself up pretty bad as well.

I’m having a bit of a bad day. Took too much in my plate and my nerves seem deregulated. Been lying on bed all afternoon.
