Nobody knows the mechanism of these drugs, and why they seem to "help" some people. All we know is they lead to an increase in serotonin in the brain, which for some people causes chaos, and others it may aid slightly. Daniel1269 Posted March 16 Author Share Posted March 16 Will a 6mgpw difference between my lowest and highest weight of pills make a significant difference in terms of plasma conc and potential WD given the negligible differences between RO at my current dose (see signature)? There’s 2-3mgai difference between the lowest and highest weights. (45mgai and 42mgai) and it is only ONE dose, so it’d look like 45mg,45mg, 42mg, 45mg, 45mg and so on. I would prefer not to waste a dose, could someone ( @brassmonkey) clarify? Any inputs however greatly appreciated, thanks. Cant speak for others, but I do not see it as disheartening, but rather reassuring that a slow methodical taper can be successful and safe for many people Wishing you the best on your continued taper. 2021: 10mg amitriptyline - > a few months later bumped up to 25mg 2022: 30mg amitriptyline 2022 a few months later: switch to 25mg nortriptyline (ct switch, no wd symptoms) January 4th 2024: Started nortriptyline taper (alternating doses 25mg and 10mg every other day) January 11th 2024: Alternating taper switch to pattern of 25, 10, 10, wd symptoms begin January 20th 2024: Switched to 20mg to stabilize Link to comment
