Is this a new symptom pattern?

When did you take Paxil on Sunday?

At that level, and having to go pace in the backyard, yes, absolutely. I discontinued Celexa and I'm feeling better.

Looks like adding a little SSRI didn't work.

I see a reaction every morning when you take Cytomel.

I started decreasing cytomel again slowly in the last 2 weeks from 25mcg down 1mcg every 4-5 days, by myself weighing it and cutting it. no thyroid specialist know what to do with me. I am now at 22 mcg, started having huge panic attacks again during the night, not sleeping, tense all over, it's unbearable. I know I have to decrease the cytomel but it seems too much for me in the state I am in. It seems like each time I try to decrease it or change my thytoid meds I have a WD reaction like an AD. It was prescribed to me for depression to help with the apathy and lack of energy of depression, not that much for hypothyroidism, so I realise I need to treat it like an AD becuse of the direct effect of T3 on the brain, and becase it's so strong with  short half-life.. But I can't go through another WD right now, not in the graetly destabilised state I am in. And there is no grop or support or guidelines on how to decrease cytomel.

I wuld like to increase Paxil, since it's in the last cuts that everyting went to hell (and with the acupincture traetment). I increased the cytomel back to 23mcg this morning (13this morning, 10 later). Will wait a few days to see of sleep and tension stabilises a bit. Then I want to increase paxil. Like I said before, I dont care if I am stcuk on a much higher dose, I just need relief soon.

How should I go with that? Wait a few days on 23mcg Cytomel, hoping that the panic attacks stop? Then try increasing paxil by 0.1mg? How long do I have to wait between each0.1mg inrease? I will esume with the daily notes as I can in my exhausted and panicked state, but its always the same thing really, day after day.

Thank you

Maybe that was too fast for you? Going back to 23mcg makes sense, see if your symptom pattern improves.

Here in the US we have endocrinologists who understand that some people need thyroid drugs in customized dosage forms, but they are hard to find. Sites like Stop the Thyroid Madness address this -- but they are talking to people who have actual hypothyroidism.

Well, that was really dumb, to prescribe a thyroid drug to someone who doesn't medically need it.

I'm sorry, Athena, it appears your issues are with this thyroid drug. I don't know what the answer may be. I would not want to be on a hormone for which there is no medical justification. I don't know what this pseudo-treatment has done to your natural thyroid activity.

As for increasing Paxil, your guess is as good as mine. I don't understand what's going on here, too many moving parts.
