Still in this wave 🌊 but not so intense sleep down to 3 hours again the pain throughout my body pretty intense. But my CNS wasn’t happy with that reduction so it’s kindly letting me know (to do the calculations right next time)

I had a good clear out of clothes.

Bagged loads of things up what I don’t wear & arranged for the pdsa to come and collect them.Donated 3 coats to go to a different town where there are homeless people.

so makes me smile knowing 3 people will be warm this winter.

my son came home from school early yesterday not feeling well.

So he just chilled in his room. Then last night we had a giggle and I was reading in bed so he jumps in with his book as well.

He fell asleep cuddling me and I wish I could bottle that moment up forever.💛

The book arrived & all I can say is “wow” just wow 😮

I think it’s probably just blown my last remaining brain cells.

All mental illness explained with science backed evidence about the gut brain connection.

Depression,bi-polar anxiety,ADHD,phycosis etc not mental health issues at all.

I knew a lot of this but to see it all laid out I am lost for words.

How AD are just power of belief to work etc.

It goes deeper and the book makes you see where we hand our power over it’s all about reclaiming it all back & letting our toddler inner child out of the locked cupboard etc.How this journey is about going through the birth canal and feeling each emotion etc I will shut up now but it’s a unbelievable read.

Its even better than I can put into words I am only on page 59 lol

That’s great to hear! Everyday that passes is another day closer to healing!

I follow The Plant Paradox lifestyle by Dr.Gundry. This lifestyle has given me my life back and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. It has enabled me to finally get off of this medication and truly live my life. Nutrition is the key to health!!!!!

2008 to 2019  - 20 mg Paroxetine

Attempted 2 CT's around the 5-6 year mark. Were absolutely terrible and reinstated. Was never explained by the doctor the seriousness of the short half life of this drug.

2017 - Attempted a tapered discontinuation of this drug and reinstated after being unsuccessful.

2019 - Feb. 12 - After a three month taper I am off of paroxetine. The 3 months were terrible, awful withdrawal feelings. I followed the doctors guidelines for the reduction of this drug and now know it was way too fast.
2019 - Oct. 12 - 8 months off paroxetine. 75% improvement since coming off the drug. Definitely have had tons of challenges along the way. Let’s go!!!!

2021 - Feb. 12 - 24 months off paroxetine. I have minor challenges now. Tinnitus/Headaches are still around but are reduced by a massive amount.

My son stayed out last night at his friends house.

I am sharing this because it touched my heart. No matter how dark it gets there seems to be a spot light shining in.

He phoned and said “mum me & my friend have just saved a frog”

hearing the pride in his little voice my heart melted and it took me back to a time when he used to pick me flowers and run to me.It was the same excitement in his voice.

He said the frog was just laid all dry in a car park it was still alive.

so him & his friend took it too some ones garden who had a pond in it.I am doing something right while still in this.

He has my empathy for animals.

I just wanted to bottle that feeling up last night.

Had a bad nights sleep again. But felt some what content inside due to my son.

But just had a big fright after doing my sons school clothes I put a joint of gammon in with some roasted veggies for tea,the fat off the coconut oil had spilled over and because I was in the living room at this point. No idea what was happening.

opened the kitchen door full of smoke next thing all the fire alarms going off.

Had to go get our neighbors to help 20 minutes of screaming that alarm was belting out for.

so we had to sit with all windows and doors open.

All is okay but it triggered a memory of been in a house fire when I was little.so I went into full blown panic mode,My body felt its been plugged into the national grid.

i just sat & wept.

already burnt our dinner previous to that incident, butternut squash soup.

What a day so far 😓

Hoping my CNS settles later.

Going to have to lay down and do some things to calm my CNS

tomorrow’s another day 💛🌿

Hi pink,

Just wanted to let you know that I think you are handling things really well, even though it might not seem like it to you at the moment.  Even though you have been through/going through some ordeals recently your posts do not have the negativity that they previously did.

That is normal.

The other day I was unable to turn into the work driveway because the person in front of me was blocking it and the large truck right behind me sounded his horn.  After parking the car I burst into tears.

That's so lovely to hear.

My daughter and I were visiting a botanic garden yesterday and I thought I saw a seed pod on a plant and lifted up the branch and something moved.  It was a tiny green frog, only a few centimetres long.

Update...Went from bad to worse Sunday after the smoke alarm etc

my electrics blow 2 hours later at to sort an electrical guy out.In the main time my neighbour came round and he said to unplug everything downstairs.

found out my 7 month old kettle was tripping the fuse.So had to cancel the electrical guy.

I went to find my proof of purchase ,for the kettle I had only deleted the email. So had to ring Argos customer services to explain it all & to take it back to our store.

So Monday I had to option but to get dressed and go.My legs & insides were like jelly been out.

I explained everything to the guy he was quite rude (I held back tears)

he said my manager won’t be happy that she will have to go right back through everything!!

so at this point I said she ain’t happy.I said I ain’t happy coming out my electrics tripping & a broke kettle! He couldn’t find anything of purchase of proof said to call back at 2Pm this was 10am in the morning!

In the end he just said here and gave me a replacement one :)

But while I was walking I had neuro shame, guilt sadness etc.

came home sat with how I felt & it passed.

plus I am having to deal with a matter that has been unresolved for 6 years. So had to send off for paper works etc and go to our citizians advice today to get help with the matter. I keep thinking what is all this trying to teach me.Whats the lesson.

I have had to go on lock down has I am under so much pressure from all angles at the moment.

The stress has set me back and gone into a big bad wave.

So am just taking it by every 5 minutes then getting to the next.

I am on empty at the moment after life’s curve balls.

Sleep gone to terrible but it’s expected with a taxed CNS.

sadly life doesn’t stop for any of us while in this! But it would sure help having some one at home to carry some of the weight right now!

But I keep telling my self I did it all.I took action and I am getting through it challenging very & stress seems to be coming out of

ears lol.

coping skills right now.

soft music,stretching.

crying.Gratitude journal and going on lock down to do self care.

baths.Reiki & reassurance to myself that it’s just a set back all will pass.

I understand the stress has flared it all up has my CNS seems stuck on ON.

So trying to calm it down. Its raging at me for pushing.

No self blame just respect for my self that there is no self blame.

I am battle weary with outside stuff

But we keep swimming

Tomorrow the clouds could part 🙏🏻💛

Does any mods know anything about celery juice please?

I thought I was helping myself and have been juicing celery for over a week.

i have gone into CT symtoms am not sure what’s happening.

either a big wave or the celery is cleansing my system but stripping the meds out to.Feels the same when I switched to liquid diazepam.Any input or to stop this juicing ASAP would be so appreciated

I would stop the celery juicing. Please see:

WebMD - Celery

Click on the little box in the menu that says "Interactions" and scroll down and you'll see this information:

Quote

Sedative medications (CNS depressants) interacts with CELERY

Celery might cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Medications that cause sleepiness are called sedatives. Taking celery along with sedative medications might cause too much sleepiness.

Some sedative medications include clonazepam (Klonopin), lorazepam (Ativan), phenobarbital (Donnatal), zolpidem (Ambien), and others.

It sounds like the interaction may cause an increase in the dose. I don't have time to do any more research, so please feel free to ask Google if you need more information.

But this is enough to show it's probably not a good idea to use celery juice or anything else to detox at this time.

Update.

My dog started been sick yesterday. But Carried on into early hours this morning. Was beside my self has he wouldn’t get out of his basket.I even got his lead still wasn’t interested.

At this point I knew something was very wrong.

i phoned our vets & had to get him in at 8.50am.

I was crying in the taxi,in the vets had a panic attack in there. But managed to stay put.

They were concerned that there could of been a blockage or something else.

They kept him in had to sadate him,X-ray him & put him on a iv drip.

I got the call at 10.30am all okay thank you god above he was coming around.Have to go collect him at 5 has his still on the iv.

Cannot wait to get my dog back home. Its been a frightening morning.

I was just wondering if anybody could advise me I know it’s animal related but am feeling pretty hopeless with no where to turn.

my dog has been on a steroid orally for a long time due to an ear infection what bleeds. His had an operation on it before but it didn’t touch it.No antibiotics would touch it.Steriod was the only thing that took it down.

I had to take my beloved dog back to the vets yesterday and his got pancreitis.

But I now believe his gone into WD has when he started been sick Sunday they would of come back up.Because of the sickness we couldn’t get anything in him.

So now is day 4 with only a tiny bit of chicken had.

I rang the vets after our visit yesterday and said am deeply concerned because my dog isn’t eating due to stopping the steroids out right.Which you cannot do.They offered him mirtazpine WTH I said not a chance.

They know we are stuck between a boulder and a rock. They can’t inject him with a steroid has there is a risk of the pancrease attack again.

We need him to eat to be able to get the steroid back into him.

But he can’t eat due to WD.

I have slept down stairs with him & cooked him chicken & rice still nothing.Hand feed him chicken had a few bites last night But was gagging.

I know it’s a vet matter but there the same has doctors.

Giving him other meds when it’s the steriod what needs taking.

I am really struggling has I don’t know what to do.

sorry I know it’s not human WD but to me it is has his my little world

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I feel terrible for my dog but totally at a loss.

Thank you

Update have been giving him chicken in a blender with a 5ml syringe every 1 hour his keeping it down 🙏🏻

Just found out steroids can cause pancritis.Given with fat can become a chemical **** storm (that’s what happened)

So going to get them back in him has soon has able the steroids.

Having to change is diet over to more expensive low fat foods.

Then going to taper him off them just like we do.

There not pumping my doc with other meds because of one medication.

His getting there thank you god above it’s been horrific. Not out of the woods but his moving more 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛🙏🏻

Hi pink:

I’m so sorry to hear about your baby. I hope he gets well soon.

When my Brownie was sick (I lost her 17 months ago), but she was 16. Anyways, I fed her lots of squash, sweet potatoes, beans any veggie she would eat. I would cook them and put them through the blender along with chicken and rice.

You might want to try that. They are easy to digest, my vet said.

I’ll send prayers your way. I still miss my baby everyday ❤️❤️❤️

Take care,

PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996.

---CURRENT MEDICATIONS:Supplements:Milk Thistle, Metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, Vitamin D3, Levothyroxine 25mcg, Vitamin C, Krill oil.

Xanax 1mg 3x day June, 2000 to 19-September, 2020 Went from .150 grams (average weight of 1 Xanax) 3x day to .003 grams 3x day. April 1, 2021 went back on 1mg a day. Started tapering May 19, 2023. July 28, 2023-approximately .87mg. Dr. fast tapered me at the end and realized he messed up. Prescribe it again and I am doing "slower than a turtle" taper.

Just stay strong. Feed him good stuff and get him stronger. CBD oil, without THC helped my baby. I’ve never taken it.

I miss my baby everyday. But she had a very good life. She was 16. There is a picture of her in the Pets thread on here. I’m thinking about maybe getting a new fur baby this spring.

Keep your chin up, and stay strong.

I will be thinking of you💛💛💛

Hello pinkfairy,

Pets suffering really break your heart. I remember two years ago my parents cat was attacked by some animal in the woods. He got away but had a couple of nasty wounds.

He got nerve damage and wasn't able to use his other front leg. It was really sad. Then he stopped eating and just lied on the bathroom floor. We tried to get him in the living room with us, but he was so scared of the woods that show from the window he just hobbled back to the bathroom.

They actually gave him mirtazapine to get him eating. Also physical therapy exercises which he didn't care too much about.

He got better over time, the leg seems fully healed. It's really amazing because even the vets said that maybe the leg would have to be amputated.

We built a fence with my dad surrounding the back yard so he wouldn't wander off to the woods anymore. But ofcourse he just learned to leap over.

It's hard to keep a cat inside once they have got a taste for roaming free outside.

Hope your dog gets better!

It's hard to keep a cat inside once they have got a taste for roaming free outside.

Hope your dog gets better!

Hey thanks for the stop by and sorry about the late reply back to you.

That is so awful about your parents cat getting attacked.

But I really am so pleased it was okay.

They become family ❤️

my pooch is fully on the mend thank you xx

Hello SA... I have stopped by to give others hope and a general update on things.

I don’t actually know where to start. Here goes... I am now officially a non smoker after 26 years. I went CT on the 16th of October 2019. I got down to 6mg on the mirtazpine at Xmas held.. Then jan I started micro tapering the Valium. I made it to 3.5mg last Wednesday. Huge in fact massive achievement has I could not get below that 4mg mark. I did it.

I am fully functional, out walking with my dog each day. I listen to my body,as soon has my sleep breaks I hold until my cns settles back down. I now have my child home full time (miracle) I feel utterly blessed. I take each day has it arrives. Because all any of us has is this day. I am sleeping 7/8 hours every night as well.

I am also studying for my English. To be able to eventually sit my gcse.

yes I still have symtoms, I still suffer withdrawal kicks my butt some days, but I kick back harder. Withdrawal lives along side me now. I don’t talk about symtoms much these days it tends to draw me back in. I like to think of all the things I can do now. 🙏

Sending every body strength and love 💓

Great to hear! Glad for you ! Love the statement about you kicking back harder!

I just look at one tree then the next. If I stand and look at the entire mountain I used to freeze. Now I just keep climbing and putting goals in front of me. Obviously not to much pressure though.

Hey CC,

thanks for stopping by.

oh wow congratulations to you as well. As you say it’s not easy at all. The first 3 month were hard but after that there’s no looking back. I think I found it easier because what I had endured. It seemed a breeze this time. More so because I was mentally prepared.

Heres to the fresh lungs club 😁

CC,it’s taken everything I had to get to this stage in my life. I thought mine and my child’s relationship was over for good. We are stronger than ever. I made it to the beach with him a few weeks ago. First time in over 4 years I have done this with him. It was utter magical. His mega proud of his mummy. Thank god I kept going, when all I wanted to was give in.

I still attend therapy on a regular basis.

my self care is the best it’s ever been. I now have good boundaries.

This healing journey as been about healing every aspect of my phye on every level.

I was never a “label” I was with drawl symptoms been pulled on & off for 20 plus years.

I fought to become the person I am today. I know I aren’t done with any of it. But i aren’t where I used to be. My eyes are on going forwards. None of the past can be changed. “If I did this,or that” it might of been different. No amount of wishing can unchange anything.
But what we can do is start from this day and make a new beginning. I thought my life was totally over. But the universe,ad different plans.

Its not about the destination it’s about the journey inbetween. I don’t know where am wondering too,but I know am heading in the right direction. Slow and steady wins the race

I hope your journey is been kind to you CC ❤️
