I tried to reduce it through a syringe or medical syringe, but I am looking at small granules that do not dissolve in water!

@MutfaelThe below quote is from the Tips for tapering off escitalopram (Lexapro). Please note that escitalopram/Lexapro is the same as Cipralex.

 

This advises using a normal saline solution instead of plain water. The instructions for this are below. This may help with the small granules that aren't dissolving in water. You may want to use a mortar and pestle to grind the pill into as fine a powder as possible before adding it to the saline solution.

Draw out or extract the amount of NS(normal saline) for your desired dilution, add to a separate, mixing vessel, preferably amber colored, and with a lid, then add in your escitalopram tablet or powdered tablet until it's dissolved.  Keep protected from light in the refrigerator, and best to remix a batch of your Lexapro (dissolved) at least every week.

I have two questions.. The first question is, is a 10% reduction in Cipralex considered too high?  Second question: I have now reached 10 mg Cipralex, and previously I was taking 15 mg, and it took 4 months to decrease until it reached 10 mg, and during the decreasing period I felt depression, anxiety, mood swings, lethargy, dizziness and fear of death. Are these withdrawal symptoms?  I hope the question is understood, thank you

Reducing by 10% of the prior month's dose is the maximum we recommend reducing. Many people find that 10% is too high and opt for a micro-taper. Please see:

 

Micro-taper instead of 10% or 5% decreases

 

You may want to reduce by very small weekly reductions instead of a larger monthly reduction. Please see:

If 10% is too high a reduction, you could consider 5% or even 3% per month. You will be the best judge of how fast to go. The goal is to be as healthy and functional as possible throughout your taper. There's no rush.

Yes, all of these are listed as withdrawal symptoms. It sounds like you were tapering too fast for your nervous system to handle. 

 

How are you feeling now? Have any of these symptoms gotten better?

I am very grateful to you for your help.. To clarify, 4 months ago, I was taking Cipralex 15 mg, then I started decreasing the dose by 10% every month. Now I am taking Cipralex 9 mg, but through a medical syringe, a liquid may have been my reduction wrongly, I don't know.. I used 100 ml, then shake the liquid and get rid of 10%, then  Take the rest in the syringe

It really sounds like you're tapering too fast. You may want to only reduce by 3 - 5% going forward. Since you just reduced to 9 mg, you may want to updose a bit and see if that helps. If you don't want to go back up to 10 mg, you could go up to 9.5 mg.

Sure, melatonin is okay during withdrawal. Please note the advice in the first post of this thread to start at a low dose to see how your nervous system reacts.

The main reason that called me to leave the drug or metaphorically (poison) is several things, the first of which is severe sexual weakness, meaning that sex has been completely non-existent for many months!  The other thing is lethargy and a lot of sleep, as I sleep for long hours, up to 16 hours a day, yet I feel lazy all day!  Also, fatigue when making the slightest effort and heart palpitations.. Mutfael, you had asked about taking melatonin earlier, but since you posted you're sleeping 16 hours a day, I don't think melatonin is something you need to add. Melatonin is for people who can't sleep. 

 

It's great you don't have insomnia, but having fatigue all day is not good. How is your diet? Are you heating plenty of protein and vegetables and avoiding sugar? Are you able to eat a healthy breakfast when you first wake up? That can help with fatigue.

 

Also, when people are sleeping that much, they tend to get dehydrated. Make sure you're getting plenty of water every day. Dehydration can also cause fatigue.

I divide the pill into two halves, 5 mg and 5 mg, then I take 5 mg without liquid and 5 mg, I put it in a 50 ml syringe and then shake it completely until it dissolves.  The medicine, then I pour 10 ml and there are 40 ml left. I take it, and so on.. Is my method suitable?

Yes, this looks good, Mutfael. 5 mg in 50 mL liquid gives you a ratio of 1:10 and each mL contains 0.1 mg of Cipralex. By taking 40 mL, you are taking 4 mg, along with the 5 mg in tablet.

Hello .. I do not depend on decreasing the dose on stability, so every month exactly 30 days I decrease 1 mg. As for the last dose, the decrease was only 9 mg on the date of August 9.. I suffer from anxiety, depression and anhedonia, but in an unstable way .. in one day the mood rises  Then it decreases. What bothers me the most is the early morning. I feel depressed and distressed, in contrast to the night or the end of the night. I feel that the depression is starting to fade.
