Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted December 21, 2022 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted December 21, 2022 @JosefYou may want to check out with other members have said about this here: Sleep apnea and CPAP As far as it being permanent, it depends on what's causing it. Did you have this prior to psych drugs? Some people do develop sleep apnea, especially because of the increased weight gain sometimes caused by psych drugs, but then it can get better as the weigh decreases after coming off the offending drug. Josef
That's good to know, tnx Shep! I believe it's a mix between smoking And weight gain (I'm around 20kg above my true weight). Update. Josef
Last few days with the new dose I started to feel somewhat tense and triggered by external environment for nothing. Rapid heartbeats, stuff like that. I'm considering getting Magnesium today and I know they will help and that Ishould start with a minimal dosage of 25mg. (Don't have a bath at the moment for epsomSalt) 1. How much time it takes until the effect is noticeable? Or is that subjective too? 2. When do I decide whether to updose or not- and when? 3. Magnesium citrate/ Magnesium glycinate, a chelate? Are there more types? What's recommended for starters? Read the Magnesium thread. Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted January 14, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted January 14, 2023 @Josef You've read the magnesium thread, which is good. As you'll find from what members post about their own experiences there and in their own threads, it's really an individual decision. Some people like one form of magnesium, others like another. Start out low on the one you think may be most helpful to you and go from there. You may also want to google "foods high in magnesium" and get some of your magnesium that way. Link to comment

And don't want to even think about the machine! Oh, that’s awful! I know the machine seems intense, but I’ve got to urge you to try it. I don’t have sleep apnea, but my partner does, and after they (finally) tried the CPAP machine their life changed. Honestly, so did mine, because I was sleeping through the night and getting good REM sleep. My partner went from waking up gasping (or having me shake them awake saying, “Don’t die on me, baybeeee”) to sleeping well through the night. They used to wake up grumpy as can be, and started waking up chipper and happy after the machine. Life changer. Give it a shot, at least? I didn’t even have sleep apnea, just disrupted sleep from being next to someone who did, and I can’t tell you how much my mental health improved when I started getting good sleep. Seriously, I was SUCH a happier and more productive person. Also, I don’t want to scare you, but I know a guy whose boyfriend died extremely young from sleep apnea. He just died in his sleep, and his boyfriend woke up next to his body. This is serious stuff, and you could save your own life by looking into help for it. Josef
Okay guys I need you SOS. The pharmacy made a big mistake and I'm taking double doses since 4th of January. (18 days) I take two capsules each day at the same time, to get my daily dose.(let's not get into why this is happening). what happened was they have put 60mg in one capsule instead of 30mg in one capsule. So I'm taking 120mg for the last 18 days. I realized it only now when I sent them February prescription. I don't know what to do... HELP!! Josef
Hello again, down to 60mg today. got a batch for 1.5 months. on another topic, is my boss. he has an issue. lately he is not in a very good state, financially and mentally. objectively speaking. Bisunness's income is low due to several stores owners that had left the territory. so not enough costumers-not enough income. it reflects on his behavior and he says all sort of stuff and all kinds of dushi remarks/preaches and that became daily. and not going to expand on it. Becuase I know I'm a very good, hard working, dedicated ,(and his only) employee. Time will tell for how long I can accept not being valued at all. Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted February 23, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted February 23, 2023 @JosefIf you haven't already done so, you may want to get your resume in order and start signing up for online job posting alerts. Knowing you're already working on finding something else if you need it may help with the stress level. Sorry you're going through that. It's the last thing anyone needs while also dealing with withdrawal. 1 Link to comment

Josef
Thank you Catina 💛... So many things I'm doing right now, but will schedule my time to go check my sleep in a lab. yesterday was a bit of a mess, like hard heart pumps and woke up really early. thinking about Ketosis a lot lately. Maybe because I do order takeaways from time to time. I believe that's why probably yesterday went like it went (ehhmm nothing major really). listened to some streams from Medicating Normal youtube channel, had me thinking about how I felt threatened for a good 6 month when the doc decided I'm going CT. real horror. I would like to think it's a thing of the past now and wouldn't repeat itself. And even though I have not passed the threshold (dose/accupancy wise) yet, I'm getting there. promised, if anything will get out of hand- I will hold on that dose for a while (like I did at 100mg for 2 months), basically how much that it takes So now, after the Pharmecy's false, I'm going to be on 60mg until April. so again Idon't care about delays so much and just trying to live my day to the fullest I Updated doses/meds in the signature according to my "health file" (don't know what it's called in your country hehe) Most doses seemed aligned with what I read. Some other meds I wasn't sure until now what they were has been added too. Josef
Some more updates- today I've reduced the dose to 50mg. sound like a milestone, but really. The reality is I'm far from recovery. (and that's OK.) and as for tapering- if I can stick to 10%, than making it to zero will take around 2 years. (not zero, if I need to be exact for how much the pharmacy can scale is 10mgpw/4mgai of Amisulpride). I think that for the next reduction I might order 60 Pills instead of 30. Just in case I would want to stay on a dose for longer. I quit my job 1.5 weeks ago, even though there's an 'unwritten law' which says "don't quit your current job until you got something else", but I think it's fine. I don't have savings or planning to just sit around all day. but some time out is very welcome. I'm already better today, not being around judgmental& none trusting and humiliating boss. got today my order from bookdepository [R.I.P :'( ] the book on Ketogenic Diet for beginners. so started to read and plan some meals that's seems delicious! thanks for reading see ya! 1 Tapering: Pride100 - Generic Amisulpride / Solian 2016 - 02-Oct -Started CItalopram 10mg+ Alpralid 0.25mg 25-Oct - Hospitalized, Started taking Amisulpride. Josef
hello everyone! It's an update, and I'd be happy for your assistant- Hernia. .. so yeah I have it. hehe It began when I have had chronic pains in my stomach for around two/three years now (and still). - Went to my GP today because of swelling and belly pains, he said strictly "that is Hernia". at least 15cm of abdominal muscle plus the belly button. Thought to myself all that time my belly just needs a workout, well uhhh nope!. that's not really the case. So I must to schedule a meeting with a professional doctor. probably CT scan and wait for some results I already know of. I'm well aware of the side effects and complications of these surgeries and treatments. I know all of that is common. but even more I think in the psychiatric community. 1. Should I do the surgery? (if needed) while in withdrawal? 2. Are there alternatives for the surgery? or is it the only way? If someone you know shared his experience out here, with a good successful Hernia story, please share. Josef, please work closely with your doctor to ensure you get the most gentle care possible. Here are some members' experiences and insights: Surgery and anesthesia I didn't find a thread specifically for "Hernias," but here is the search results on the forum for the word "hernia": SA - site search for "hernia" You may want to research to see if there are any alternatives for this type of surgery and perhaps get a referral to a holistic or functional medical team to get a second opinion if you feel that's a better path for you. Many people have to have surgery, dental procedures, and deal with a variety of illnesses during withdrawal. It will be okay. Try not to panic. If you have a list of the medications you'll need, you can place them in a drug interaction checker to make sure the meds are being handled correctly. Beej
Hello Josef I have been following your journey for a long time, because I am tapering of Amulsipride myself. Currently at 62.5mg. (Close to you!) Thank you for sharing. I created this account to let you know you MUST stop taking fish oil a week before any surgeries. It has strong anti-clotting properties and can be dangerous in that situation. Hi Josef, It’s good to see you’re chipping away at your meds, slow and steady does it. I’m sorry to hear that you found out you have celiac disease. You wanted advice, but I’m guessing you already know that it’s autoimmune and that you have to stay away from gluten as it will cause damage to your small intestine. Be careful too with foods that don’t naturally have gluten in them but may be cross contaminated. I don’t have celiac, but I have a severe intolerance to gluten. Just a small amount of cross contamination can cause stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea etc. It’s also a good idea to eat non inflammatory foods as well.
