Chachi
I started taking pristiq some time in June. I started feeling like I wanted to avoid my family and just go out by myself. I never want to cuddle or be intimate with my husband anymore and I all of a sudden want attention from other people. This is extremely out of character for me. I dont know if its the medication or what but its really scaring me. I feel like i could just run away from my life and not look back but I know this isnt me. Has any been in a similat situation??? I'm feeling so helpless. Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Songbird Posted September 8, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted September 8, 2018 Hi Chachi, welcome to SA. Your issues could very well be from the medication - this kind of symptom is not uncommon and has been known to cause relationship problems (see our relationships forum). Are you currently taking any other meds? Have you taken other meds previously? It would be helpful if you could create a signature containing a summary of your med history, including all drugs, doses and dates (starting and stopping). Your signature appears below every post you make, and helps us see your situation easily without having to read from the top every time. You could look at my signature for an example. Instructions for creating your signature are here: Please put your withdrawal history in your signature. You can edit your signature here: edit your signature in Account Settings.
