Oh my. At 8:45 I got into an Epsom salt bath and took my medicine at 9.

at 9:30 I started to walk hp

the stairs and my heart started to beat out of my chest. I noticed my stomach pulsating. My ears began to ring so loud I Could barely hear. Sounded like when you eject a DVD player but over and over again. I thought I was going to pass out and vomit. Luckily I made it to the bed where I could lay down and call my mom. My mom came upstairs and said i was white as a ghost. She was so worried about me. I don’t know what all that was about. It passed pretty quickly. After I got this super sharp pain in my stomach.

@Altostrata Could I be having a reaction to the 50 mg pill if it's a different brand? It also could be because I was dehydrated and got into the bath? I drank quite a bit of water yesterday so I was surprised. I usually take an epsom salt bath right before bed, so I don't know what's different.

10 am crying. Do some painting

11 am crying. 

12 pm feel better

1 pm calm

5 pm calm

8:45 get into bath

9 pm. take 75 mg Seroquel and .5 Ativan

9:30 heart begins to beat extremely fast. Feels like it's going to beat out of my chest. Feel like I could vomit. Light headed feeling. Pass out for a second. Come to and grab my dresser. Make it to my bed. My mom comes upstairs to help me. Notes that I look "White as a ghost." Quickly the color returns to my face. Heart slowly starts to slow down. 

10 pm fall half a sleep. Wake up hungry. Get some homemade popcorn

11 pm Fall asleep. 

5 am wake up with anxiety

toss and tuen. 

6-7 fall asleep and wake up.  Extreme anxiety in stomach. Try to ignore it.

8 am eat two eggs, banana, blueberries and apple. Anxiety gets better. 

9 am took .5 Ativan. Muscle twitches in shoulder.

Also should I still align my taper around my schedule? I start in a week.

Is it normal to have libido in dreams but not in real life?

 

ive noticed I’m getting more good feelings. For a long time when I’d run up the stairs, I wouldn’t feel that good feeling in my legs. That coziness of hitting my bed. Also I noticed the relief of drinking water feels better. I don’t know if that makes sense. Like quenching you’re thirst. I haven’t had those feelings in months. I did feel little feelings for my crush though muted. Unfortunately still feel pretty dull and antisocial and I have negative libido.

Did you take a 50mg Seroquel tablet, a 25mg tablet, and 0.5mg Ativan at 9 p.m., as usual?

 

If yes, if I were you, I'd reduce by 1/4 of the 25mg tablet, or 7.5mg.

@Altostrata yeah I took it as usual! I wasn’t having GI issues and ear ringing, heart palms to this intensity until the seroquel

for what it’s worth, I tried to use two different tabs of lamotrigene and got bad reactions when I added the new one. Your experience you described sounds similar to what I experienced. After a few days I would get used to it but then each new prescription it seemed to happen again for several days. Even now staying consistent on the same med, same pharmacy, same dose, I get some sort of reaction when I start a new bottle for a few days.

well I didn’t start the taper last night. My family and I got into a huge fight. I couldn’t bear possibly not sleeping well. 

I still didn’t sleep great. 
Could I switch back to the 200 mg tablets and just weight them? Or would that cause more problems going back to that brand tablet. I just find my heartbeat gets really fast about 50 minutes after I take it

Going "inpatient" is usually not a good idea. Very few detox programs know anything about tapering psychiatric drugs, they're for addictive drugs. I just found out about this inpatient facility for tapering psychiatric drugs http://innerfire.us/

 

It's quite expensive. I don't know anything about it or the people who run it, other than they claim they "gently" help people taper off the drugs.

 

I can see why you'd want to get away from your family, but you know when you come back, you'll be living with them again. Strongly recommend asking for family counseling.

Just took my dose! Well at 9. Took 50 mg and I crushed my 25 mg.

 

the average weight of my tablets is .67 g. I took .50g and put it in a gel capsule

Please let us know how you're doing. You may be getting palpitations from too much sleep-making drugs, reducing can help. If you get them, I have to know the time of day they occur.

please tell me my blank mind, motivation and no libido is due to the drugs and not the adverse reaction. Please I can’t live like this. I feel like an empty shell of a person. I cry watching my friends date and have fun when I can’t do those things and have no idea how long it will be till I can.

That's how these drugs work. they don't "cure" depression, anxiety and the like, but rather they make you feel nothing. If this were an adverse reaction you would be feeling much, much worse to the point of not getting out of bed, forgoing personal hygiene, not eating because the symptoms  are so overpowering.

 

Going through ADWD as a teen is a very hard thing to do, especially with summer coming. Do you feel good enough in the afternoons to  try some limited activities? Don't push hard as that could trigger symptoms, but getting out with friends for a little while could be helpful. Do be careful though as we still have the self-isolation thing we have to pay attention to. It's also a good excuse if you're not feeling up to going out.

 

You mention crying a lot. Crying is one of the ways the body makes adjustments to itself. It actually involves several neurotransmitters and hormones and helps with the healing process.  Does it just come on all of a sudden or can you identify something that triggers it? Is it drug induced or do it have to do with all the things you think you are missing out on?

@brassmonkey thank you for the support. That’s good to know. I suppose if the reaction to Paxil was that bad, I’d be feeling a lot worse than I do and I took seroquel right after and kept upping the dose so it makes sense that that’s probably causing it. I haven’t been eating but I’ve been very depressed. Most of the time I cry out of nowhere. Like it will hit me like a truck and I can’t stop it. I cry like someone just died and then I’ll calm down.  Sometimes I get scared and upset and that leads to it too, but it’s not like devastation type crying. But I’d say I cry a lot every day.

 

 

today I went on a bike ride. It’s like I don’t really want to see anyone but I also don’t want to miss out. Very contradictory lol. I went on a bike ride earlier today and it made me feel good for a bit.

It seems you are experiencing the most common effect of the drugs, Csi. As brassmonkey said, this is how the drugs "work".

 

We established before that benzodiazepines like Ativan make you sad. That could be causing weepiness.

 

What we're thinking is, get the Seroquel reduced so you don't get that dopiness hangover, then reduce Ativan. You're going to be okay. Hang in there.

Tonight I had a window where my thoughts felt like my old thoughts and I just saw things like I used to. It was nice

Was taken to a center and was told I could taper off Ativan in a period of months. .25 a month and guess what? I get there the first night and they up my seroquel to 100. They were treating me like an addict. I said I’d only do 75 and didn’t give me my ativan. The next day they gave me my meds 3 hours late. Then told me this isn’t the place for me, even though they told me this on the phone that I could stay for months and slow taper. Obviously I left. I tried 50 mg vista rail to slee that night and it did nothing to help me sleep that night. The second night I got my dose I slept really well but left in the morning. I’m so angry with myself. I’ve only been back on the 75 two nights, should I continue to go down?

What happened? You changed your drugs at this center? What center was this?

 

Csi, we know these addiction detox centers don't treat people well. If they did, we'd refer everyone to addiction centers.

What happened after you made this reduction?

 

Now that you've changed your drugs, you'll need to wait for everything to settle down again.

Why do my tablets weigh less crushed than they do whoel? @brassmonkey

I took one tablet weighed it. .192

crushed it and it was .170. Is that normal? Should I go with the weight of the tablet?
