Hello my dear friend, do you think 3ml will be feasible?  When I was on 3 ml, I had the same feeling, depression, and lethargy, in your opinion. If I go back to 7 ml, is it appropriate?

SA suggests only making small increases.  Taking too much might make things worse.  If Brassmonkey had thought that 7 would help then he would have suggested taking 7.

BUT he didn't.  He suggested 3.

If you decide to leave increasing for a while then you might not need to increase as much.  If you are currently taking 2.5mg then if you need to increase you could try 2.75mg not 3.0mg.

This is because the brain will make adaptations to 2.5mg and taking 3.0mg in a 2-3 weeks' time might be too much and might make things worse.

I have a question that I wish for everyone who has confirmed information and believes that it is 100% correct, so please answer it and thank you,, The first question is whether among the withdrawal symptoms are the pain of the feet and legs?, , The second question, Is the inability to walk a long distance among the symptoms of withdrawal? Feeling tired when doing any work that requires effort

The answer to this question is very important to me, as I have recently increased foot pain in general, as well as feeling psychological and physical fatigue just by making an effort, even if it was simple!  I don't walk to the supermarket or go up to the second floor or make any simple effort where I feel tired as if I have walked long distances!

You might see a physiotherapist/physical therapist and get some stretching exercises.

There may be a vitamin deficiency here!  Yesterday I did a blood test and a test for vitamin D, and the percentage was 10.4, but I can't take vitamins because they exacerbate symptoms.

You may also want to google "foods high in vitamin D3" and you'll find lists of what you can eat to up your D levels.

Even though it might be a withdrawal symptom, it is important to maintain flexibility/stretching and strength/strengthening.

Hello.. I want an accurate scientific explanation of what is the cause of stress, palpitations, dizziness and lack of concentration if I drink tea or smoke a cigarette.. Then I want another explanation, what is the relationship of stress, physical fatigue and palpitations  Heart withdrawal from medication?!  I always feel exhausted and feel as if I have climbed a mountain!

I do not know what is the reason for not answering my questions and not interacting with the situation! Note that I do not write much, but I notice that this is intended!? .. I began to doubt it .. I notice in many cases in this section a good interaction and I am here speaking alone! If you think that you want to do good, then do good for all people without specifying a specific person, and if you allocate help to certain people, then this is not doing good at all.. Is the language incomprehensible! If it was incomprehensible, then why was the interaction good at first? What happened?

If the the tea you drink has caffeine, than that can cause symptoms. If you smoke cigarettes, which do contain a drug - nicotine, that can cause symptoms. It's up to you whether or not you want to consume items that ramp up your symptoms.

Please focus on things that are good and healthy.

Non-drug techniques to cope with emotional symptoms

Welcome..I ended up in the emergency room in the hospital, where I got inflammation of the trachea and I got body fever and heart palpitations that did not stop, then I started to be very afraid and I thought that I had a problem in my heart!  An electrocardiogram was done and it was normal, as well as blood analyzes and heart enzymes, all of which are normal, praise be to God. Then I asked the hospital today for 2.5 and took it immediately, then I increased the dose of Lexapro to 5 mg instead of 2.5 mg.

I'm sorry you ended up in the emergency room, but why did you double your Lexapro? Please note that heart problems can be a side effect of Lexapro:

Lexapro - Side Effects

The rare side effects in that link include "fast or irregular heartbeat."

From your signature, you've been holding at 2.5 mg Lexapro since last September. You were last on 5 mg Lexapro in December 2021. Your nervous system has likely adjusted to a lower dose, so upping it this much may cause your nervous system to hyper-react, as well as setting yourself up for kindling. Please see:

Hypersensitivity and Kindling

Do you know what caused your inflammation of the trachea and fever? Have you been tested for Covid?

Thank you for your presence.. Psychiatric medications are poisons, unfortunately. Either continue forever and bear the side effects, or leave them, and endure the symptoms of withdrawal, and the symptoms of withdrawal are much more severe than the side effects.

Welcome.. I want to increase the dose as I cannot bear the symptoms of withdrawal, and I will wait until the condition stabilizes, then start decreasing by 5% every month. Therefore, I think that 10% is a large percentage for Lexapro.. As for bronchitis, this is how it came to me suddenly with mild sputum, but  It was accompanied by fever, muscle breakage, and physical fatigue. The examination was not done, as I do not know whether it is Covid or not, but it seems that it is not Covid.

Hi I haven’t read through your thread but have looked at your signature. It looks like you were doing far larger drops than the 10% every 4 weeks that SA recommends.  This would be why you started experiencing withdrawal symptoms at 3mg. I am sure you would have been advised to hold at a particular dose to let your body to catch up with all the (too fast) reductions in dose.

Going back up as you have done, once your body has started to adjust to the lower doses is likely what is causing you increased anxiety and all the other symptoms, in other words kindling has happened.

It looks like Shep said something similar above. I am not a mod but I suspect they would suggest you return to something around 2.5 - 3mg and just wait until things settle down. Going up in dose is not a solution. Your body has got used to the lower dose and will be very upset by the higher dose, as you are finding.

You say:

yes, they are when tapering is done too fast. The idea of tapering is to reduce the drug slowly enough to avoid unbearable side effects. And life is generally much better when off the meds than on them.

I have tagged @Shep who may be able to suggest what dose you should now stick to until you stabilise. Please note this is a very busy forum. The mods have experience of every symptom and generally know what to suggest that is most likely to help. They know far better than we do. When I first arrived in a terrible state of WD they told me what to do, I didn’t listen, I fully reinstated, it took a year to stabilise, I was so fatigued I could only work very part time, I never recovered and it wasn’t until I was well into a proper taper that I started to feel like myself again.

I’m really sorry you are suffering. I know it isn’t fair and that these are terrible drugs that destroy lives. Unfortunately we are here and we have to get through it as best we can.

If increasing the dose makes you sick, then you shouldn't increase the dose.

You may want to re-read your thread. We've gone over this issue before.

Do you think that these are symptoms of an overdose, since it is known that starting with medication or increasing the dose causes an increase in anxiety and symptoms? Do you think that?

You have kindled yourself with all the changes in dosing. I guess you could call this an overdose in that it is too much for your system to handle. Your system got used to a low dose and now you have overloaded it with a much larger dose. It isn’t happy and you feel ill.  It’s making things much worse for you. Sounds like the advice on what to do is earlier in your thread so have a look ☺️

Thank you.. Indeed, the dose may have been a surprise to the nervous system, but if we look at something else, I am like someone who takes medicines for the first time, starting with 5 milligrams, then after a week starting with 10 milligrams.. What is the difference between me and a patient who takes medicines for the first time?  We both take the same dose and the same amount

Yes, but you've likely kindled your nervous system.

Yes, your words are correct and convincing.. I went through the most difficult days of all, where I was very anxious and not sitting in one place, because from the severity of my anxiety, I feel that I want my body to explode from distress, as well as depression, severe physical fatigue, lack of appetite, sweating, insomnia, severe sleep disturbances, and nausea on an empty stomach  ..But that is simple compared to extreme anxiety and not sitting in one place. I want an explanation for this symptom, as it still comes to me in the morning and continues until sunset, then it starts to calm down a bit. I want an explanation for this symptom?  What exactly, thanks
