Moderator LotusRising Posted March 5 Moderator Share Posted March 5 If you were switched directly from ativan to clonazepam, that could have dysregulated your nervous system. Ativan is short-acting and clonazepam is long-acting, so crossing over is always a better idea, but unfortunately doctors don't do this. Ativan 0.5mg is equivalent to .25mg clonazepam, so you were also given a higher dose than necessary. You then dropped the dose by over 50% down to 0.25mg, so I expect your nervous system is quite confused by all the med changes. I think it would be a good idea to hold where you're at to see if you can stabilize. When you're ready to taper again, we recommend tapering by no more than 10% of your most recent dose each month. If it were me, I would continue to hold. Since you were on 4 different drugs in such a short time frame, I don't know that reinstating any of them would be helpful to you at this point. I'm sorry you're experiencing these symptoms.
