I'm not going to try and calculate the exact dilution. It would be the same sequence repeated six times.

I did some checking on the atomic weight of amitriptyline, applied Avogadro's number and the chemical definition of a mole and determined that you would have around four or five molecules of amitriptyline in the final solution. You might be able to find them with a scanning electron microscope if you were very lucky. For a number of reasons, the chances of those four or five molecules making it into the final dose are around one in one sextillionth. You are basically dosing with plain water.

20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013.

Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks.  The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better.

Final Dose 0.016mg.     Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017

What the mind believes, the body can make reality. Not to question you in any way shape or form, but if you have been on this low of a dose and are still feeling effects, you have to wonder how much of it is related to the drug.

2010-2011 - Tramadol - Can't remember dosage

2011 - CT Quit Tramadol

2011-2019 - St Johns Wart - Started out at 3 Pills a day (300 MG) and increased to 6 per day over the years

August 2019 - CT Quit St Johns (Told by Hospital Dr to Stop Taking due to increased BP)

September 2019 - Citalopram 10mg - Approx 2 weeks - CT Quit

September 2019 - October 2019 - Clonazepam .5mg - Approx 3 weeks - CT Quit

Drug Free Since October 5th 2019

I will just keep doing what i am doing..

And hopefully one day i will right it self.

This is the opposite of the placebo effect - the mind is so powerful that if you give someone an inert substance and tell them it is a poison that will kill them - and they believe that - they then may die.

Jan 2023 to July 2023 250mg quetiapine

Ok so this is my final exit plan which i am comitted to...

I still continue to have daily effects on and coming off the amitriptaline unfortunatly even at such a low dose.

I have always worked towards getting to that dose where the reduction no longer effected me and coming off but it seems this is what i have to work with.

I feel so tired mentally and physically right now and i know its time to finally get this stuff out my body once and for all.

I really don't know whats instore as all i have is the 2014 experiance till now so i can be overwhealmed with fear at times and hopelessness. I totally don't remeber what it was like pre medication as i have lived in this mess for nearly 10 years now. With every reduction tho i have slowly started to make it back and now i just want to be off.  So this is my exit plan.

The next reduction below i will carry out in next 14 days..

Its a big reduction but not as big as the 100% when i come off after it after this.

0.2ml in syringe then taken to 6.4ml with water.

Mixed in syringe then taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Mixed in syringe taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Mixed in syringe taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Mixed in syringe taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Mixed in syringe taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Mixed in syringe taken back to 1.6ml and water added up to 6.4ml again.

Once i have some stability in my self which has been around 3ish months i will start the next step to fully stop!!

This is a massive point for me in my journey and i just hope i have done enough to get off and start the next process of recovery.

I have spoken to a parish community nurse and we have started making a withdrawl plan for the final time so i have got backup in place in the community.

I have got support from local crisis hub which is open every evening to talk to crisis worker if needed and they are happy with this.

I have my friends around me as well who are going to do what they can to support me.

I didn't have any of this support in 2014 so hopefully this time i can get through this last bit and finallly off.

I will update as i go on.

  • 4 weeks later...

Not in a vary good state right now.

My pip is under review and it has pushed me over the edge.

My symptoms have got alot worse and my mental health feels like it's deteriated.

Have had to attend the local mental health crisis hub multipul times to get support.

Holding at moment not doing anythnig with meds till at least i have sorted all forms and stuff.

To be fair the DWP have been really good they have extended the time needed to get form back.
