Welcome to SA, Heath.   Your plan sounds good.  Do try to keep it no more than 10% of current dose every four weeks.   Why taper by 10% of my dosage?   Tips for tapering off L

It's more common for withdrawal symptoms (as opposed to side effects) to ramp up and change as you change doses.  Even though you're tapering slowly, there are going to be some withdrawal symptoms.  I

"Sleepy tired not wanting to do anything"   This one made me smile ! This sum up exactly who I was with Paxil 😄 I always thought I was a very lazy person, and couldn't stop wondering ho

hello everyone! Just checking in !  I have been holding for about 6 months because of a little wave and then antibiotics.  The withdrawal symptoms have gone. No energy, sleeping, laying around, obsessive worry thoughts, anxiety, No interest, tense muscles in neck and back, dreams, etc. have gone. Got much better by December and Most of these cleared up around Jan/feb. I think last one to go was no energy. The antibiotics side effects have also pretty much gone. Concentration is much better. Stomach is still getting better every day. Rarely take Prilosec now days.
As for UTI dr cleared me 1 month ago. I feel like it is gone.

as for lexapro side effects- dry eyes, sinuses, and eyes got better until today. 2 hours after taking lexapro I layed down on my back to do some work and I got dizzy , burning pressure all around sinuses. Weird feeling around ears.  I got up and walked sideways. For most of the day if I moved my head quickly I felt this dizziness. I have talked about this in my introduction before. This started the first spring/summer that I was on lexapro . It’s related to sinuses, allergies, and lexapro. Today reminded me to start tapering this poison again.

I have normal life stresses health, family and job. I have a bad , micromanaging, negative boss. There may be a solution to this soon in which I am involved. I feel confident due to upper management seeing how he has treated people for 15 years. I still have my normal low back pain which kinda limits me to this job and not being confident to quit and start over in which might lower the low back pain. But anyway not planning on changing anything rt now.

I take Celebrex and turmeric daily for pain, Prilosec about once a week, Allegra as needed, and lexapro.

I am planning on starting taper really soon with brass monkey slide. Just figuring and planning- thoughts of 1% a week or 2.5 % . Using a little caution due to last wave even though 2.5 % will probably be just fine. I feel like I need to be moving forward. Thoughts of dosages and rounding up or down- try to make it as easy as possible etc. thanks for your comments and advice!

@Heath Glad to hear from you, and glad you are starting back w/the tapering. I can't remember if you had done the BMS before, it doesn't look like it in your signature? If you haven't....I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how it's such a small decrease in dosage...that hopefully your body won't notice too much. ;)

Hoping that whether you decide the 1% or the 2.5% that it will go well for you!!!

2005-2017 started on AD for sleep then on and off Paxil, Zoloft, Lexapro, and others that I can't remember

2017 Lexapro 10 mg

2018 Jan-Tried getting off lexapro. (within about a 4-6 week period)

2018 March- Got back on Lexapro 10mg

2018 June Switched to Wellbutrin. (don't remember dosage)

2018 August Switched to Sertraline. 25 mg, 50, 75, then back down to 50

2019 December...back on Sertraline 25 mg

2020 January-switched back to Escitalopram 5 mg

2020 March-December Escitalopram 10 mg

2021 Jan-started BMS taper w/2 wk hold (using liquid form)

2021 March 7.97mg

Occasionally .25mg Melatonin (as needed)
