I just thought if I was on Seroquel for a shorter amount of time 6 years , I should get if that first. But I don’t know now . Besides it can get to hot later in the day. Do you get weak muscles? My arm muscles feel weak a lot. My legs to but not a much as my arms. I am very sensitive too. I get over stimulated easily and a thought will pop into my mind and I will feel a panic then that will me feel sad and sometimes worthless because my mind jumps to I will never be better, It is like a chain reaction. I am so over emotional about things. I could really use a day were I feel confident and no W/D symptoms and I can watch tv, read a book, think like a normal person. I am so ready for this to be over with. I try not think of some of the members that struggle for months if not years. They must get good windows because I don't know how you can live like this for so long. They did that for me once in 2015 and tried me on all different meds , it was 3 months of hell. I went back to my original drug Paxil as I knew the withdrawals was coming from that. I was lucky reinstatement worked with the added Seroquel of course . If I had never tried coming off none of this drama would’ve happened to me. My brother-in-law has been on Paxil the same time 25 years and take extremely high dose 60mg and was also on Xanax at a small dose. He came off Xanax a few years ago without any problems. My sister is on celexa for 21 years. They don’t understand why I put myself through trying to come off so they gave no sympathy for me. They are lucky so far that they haven't hit the tolerance level yet. I know sometimes the drug stops working, then you have to add to it or switch to something else. The last three das has been relatively good , I have still had morning aniexty and in the afternoon I feel a little anxious but have been doing good the other time functioning going out shopping , cooking and looking after my family . I still feel quite vulnerable with my nervous system and can get jumpy if I hear a loud noise but copping with that . I’m eating a little more when I feel good , as I don’t want to lose any more weight . I just hope this continues and I see improvements. I’m sleeping around 8 hours a night and having no more sweats or waking up . I do have a question though . I’m thinking of tapering my Paxil next til I get to 10mg as I think that is the activating drug and I know the Seroquel is a brake. I also think that since I’ve gotten down so much of my Seroquel that that has been the problem Why I’ve had so much more energy and sleeping less and was waking up alit since my last drop . I see no problem with holding the Seroquel and tapering the Paxil for a while. Depending on how long you've been holding you may want to hold a bit longer to get good and stable before doing it. If you are feeling better ATM why not enjoy it for a few weeks before changing things up again. I really would recommend a Brassmonkey Slide when you do start to taper the Paxil. We want to keep things as gentle as possible. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg.
