Believer
It could be perimenopause. If you Google the symptoms you’ll see that hot flashes and anxiety are a couple of them. Hopefully your labs will come back good. Perimenopause/menopause have many of the same symptoms as AD withdrawal. 😝 1998-2015 Zoloft. 100mg 2015 Straight switch to Wellbutrin by GP who claimed Zoloft stopped working; I was experiencing occasional brain zaps. 3 months later Wellbutrin XR. You may not need to get bogged down in what may be unnecessary testing. You had been doing much better the week of Aug, 17th through 23rd. You had the first Pfizer shot Aug. 23rd, and you started to not feel well on the 26th with your cycle. I don't know when you had the 2nd shot but here they are 3 weeks apart so that is about Sept. 13th. As I said I suspected the Lichen Planus was a side effect to the Covid vaccine since it is reported for both pfizer and moderna, and since it was a new issue for you and happened within a month or so of your second shot. Cheeky
Okay update……. so things are looking more positive and I feel I’m stable 90% of the time. I’m getting my periods again and I’m not too bad so it’s a good sign. I’m going to wait till February to start my taper again and will continue to try to come off the Seroquel. I know that this will be a long journey but I don’t want to rush and live hopelessly. I’m 45years old and I have a lot to look forward to. Cheeky
Okay I should’ve spoke too soon. I’ve had a difficult week, I know I’m in a wave as it starts with me getting sweaty in my sleep and early waking , then the dreaded aniexty kicks in and I feel very emotional and I get slight headaches that comes and goes. I’ve been through this so many times but when like this I tend to doubt everything. This of course brings on the feeling that my whole life will be like this and it goes on and on in my head. I just don’t understand why this is still happening so far out. I know the having my periods can contribute but I just feel disheartened. Any response is most appreciated @brassmonkey @Shep @Rusty1 @Frogie 1995 started Paxil 20mg slowly increasing to 50mg 2014 I decided to tapper myself not knowing how too and crashed , DR added 50mg of Seroquel Through the years made many mistakes tapering Started Tapering Both drugs at the same time 7.5% per month Paxil 9% Seroquel doing daily micro-taper Guided by Mark Horowitz 31/3/24 Paxil 10.31mg 31/3/24 Seroquel 9.9mg Link to comment
Moderator Frogie Posted December 19, 2021 Moderator Share Posted December 19, 2021 Hi @Cheeky I’m sorry you’re going through this nasty wave yet again. They truly are the pits! One good thing, is you’ve recognized it as a wave and you know what to do. You know as bad as it is, YOU WILL COME OUT OF IT! And you’ll be a better person for this! Unfortunately, waves can come and go for months/years. I’ve been off Lexapro it seems like forever and I still have small waves here and there. Cheeky
Okay update…… went to the Gyno today and she had a check and told me my problem could be nerve related and prescribed a cream to see if that helps. She also recommended a low dose contraceptive Pill to regulate my hormones as she thinks I could be pre menopausal. I know for one thing is that I’m not going to take any more pills and I’m too scared to try the cream as I don’t know what’s in it . When I get it I will post the ingredients , so maybe the Mods could tell me if it’s safe or not. I knew in my heart these problems are the drugs I’m on and to be honest I was hoping it was something that could be fixed . I feel so heartbroken today and just won’t to be free from all of this stuff. 1995 started Paxil 20mg slowly increasing to 50mg 2014 I decided to tapper myself not knowing how too and crashed , DR added 50mg of Seroquel Through the years made many mistakes tapering Started Tapering Both drugs at the same time 7.5% per month Paxil 9% Seroquel doing daily micro-taper Guided by Mark Horowitz 31/3/24 Paxil 10.31mg 31/3/24 Seroquel 9.9mg Link to comment

Administrator Altostrata Posted December 21, 2021 Administrator Share Posted December 21, 2021 If I were you, I'd try only one thing at a time, such as the birth control pills. Amitriptyline is an antidepressant. The cream probably delivers up to 5mg amitriptyline per day. There's exactly one study on it https://obgyn.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ajo.13292 Quote The maximum daily dose is therefore 5 mg of amitriptyline and 0.3 mg of oestriol. Cheeky
Hey everyone, just an update……… Things have been manageable , lots of ups and downs but not server. My genital issues is better and I didn’t go on the pill or use the cream the Gyno told me to use as I know it started after the Pifzer vaccine I got. I’m still having a hard time before I get my periods and during , aniexty I’m the mornings but seems to get better in the evenings. I was wondering if I could get some advice on my next step in tapering. I really don’t want to take this Seroquel any longer as I know it can cause a lot of problems if left on for a long time. This is just a question . Could I come off the Seroquel and up my dosage of Paxil so I only have one med to taper, is that an option or switch to something less harmful. Any advice would be appreciated @Frogie @DataGuy @Shep 1995 started Paxil 20mg slowly increasing to 50mg 2014 I decided to tapper myself not knowing how too and crashed , DR added 50mg of Seroquel Through the years made many mistakes tapering Started Tapering Both drugs at the same time 7.5% per month Paxil 9% Seroquel doing daily micro-taper Guided by Mark Horowitz 31/3/24 Paxil 10.31mg 31/3/24 Seroquel 9.9mg Link to comment

Moderator Frogie Posted January 17, 2022 Moderator Share Posted January 17, 2022 @@Cheeky "wd normal" is a hard one to describe. You feel stable enough that you think you could taper but you know you are not well enough to stop it all together, especially at your dose. That's how I felt. I still had waves and windows but I was dumb and tapered anyway. You are smart enough you know you aren't ready to make a taper. Moderator Emeritus Songbird Posted January 17, 2022 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted January 17, 2022 Hi Cheeky, good to hear that things have been more manageable for you recently. I think it's probably a good thing that you've avoided adding in extra medications. I reckon it's been a tough couple of years - the extra stress of all the covid stuff (or any kind of stress really) can make tapering more difficult. I also had a lot of ups and downs through menopause. It was hard for a while to distinguish hormonal symptoms from withdrawal, I think it all kind of interacted. Post-menopause things settled down more. I know you're worried about being on Seroquel long term, but you've got from 50mg (which was not a very high dose) all the way down to 16mg (a relatively small dose). I am still "turtle tapering" and it is taking a very long time, but the important thing is my dose has got lower and lower. What I tend to do is hold on a dose for as long as I feel I need to, until I feel ready to try another drop, which can sometimes mean very long holds. If you have been finding the drops tough, maybe try smaller drops from now on, you could try just 2% or 3% next time and see if that works better. As Frogie said, see how you feel over the next few weeks. It sounds like some things (e.g. the vaccine) have destabilised your system a bit and it will hopefully settle down soon. Cheeky
hi everyone, I just want to ask a question with you if that’s okay , I’m feeling pretty all over the place at current.I stopped vapeing On the 22nd because I thought that maybe something in it was as delaying my stability and I had only started vaping this time last year . As I don’t know what’s in there I was wanting to stop. I started using the 24hr Nicobate Patch in the 22nd and it’s been working well for me, but the last couple of days I’ve been getting strong head pressure, nausea in the morning and I don’t normally get that in a wave with the dizziness, brain fog , crying spells and of course the aniexty. One day I will be better ,then the next day I’m struggling . I personally think that maybe it wasn’t the best timing to quit while not feeling good but then again better now then later . Could this be triggering my wave more ? @Frogie @Altostrata @Rusty1 Cheeky 1995 started Paxil 20mg slowly increasing to 50mg 2014 I decided to tapper myself not knowing how too and crashed , DR added 50mg of Seroquel Through the years made many mistakes tapering Started Tapering Both drugs at the same time 7.5% per month Paxil 9% Seroquel doing daily micro-taper Guided by Mark Horowitz 31/3/24 Paxil 10.31mg 31/3/24 Seroquel 9.9mg Link to comment

Cheeky
Hey everyone, Just a little update and advice needed. so basically I’ve been pretty much up and down , might be a couple of weeks feeling good then a wave sets in and I’m off again . There’s not much pattern except I, when I’m about to get my periods or not sleeping at the same time or taking my doses at the same time. I think I know the answer to my next question but when I’m feeling bad and needing reassurance helps . I’ve been away to another state for the last couple of days on a mini holiday and have been taking both my does within a few hours of the right time. I’ve been going to bed really late and I feel out of whack with my sleeping due to local time changes . Today I feel shaky and in a wave . Full aniexty that scares me . All of these changes I think has lead to this. Just needing reassurance it is. @Frogie@brassmonkey 1995 started Paxil 20mg slowly increasing to 50mg 2014 I decided to tapper myself not knowing how too and crashed , DR added 50mg of Seroquel Through the years made many mistakes tapering Started Tapering Both drugs at the same time 7.5% per month Paxil 9% Seroquel doing daily micro-taper Guided by Mark Horowitz 31/3/24 Paxil 10.31mg 31/3/24 Seroquel 9.9mg Link to comment
Mentor Greatful Posted February 21, 2022 Mentor Share Posted February 21, 2022 @Cheeky My guess would be the changes in schedule with sleep and when you take your meds. Hopefully when you are settled back at home things will resolve. 7 hours ago, Cheeky said: might be a couple of weeks feeling good then a wave sets in and I’m off again . This is a great sign that you are healing 2 weeks of feeling good what's that like lol You've got this😊 https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/24894-greatful-is-this-withdrawal-or-to-many-med-changes-at-once/ 1995?
