If so, your brassmonkey slide will look like this:  10% of 9mg is 0.9.  Then divide that into 4 weeks (0.9 divided into 4 = 0.225) so reduce by 0.225mg each week.

 

Week 1:  9mg - 0.225mg = 8.775

Week 2:  8.775 - 0.225mg  8.55

Week 3:  8.55 - 0.225mg = 8.325

Week 4:  8.325 - 0.225mg = 8.1

Week 5:  8.1

Week 6:  8.1

Thanks for your calculating! I will try that after I stabilized on my current dose, at the moment. It seems quite ugly since I cut my dose from 10mg t0 9mg, from both physical and mental. I am still having a bit diarrhea too, which means my bowel system has been stimulated by the cut as well, pretty similar as the first time I experienced WD a year ago.

After another week of windows, this week I started awful restless legs! This is my first time feel this awful restless leg, I can only lying on the bed now! 

 

I tried to walk outside, it gets a bit better, but just I finished walking, the feeling comes back again, I have to lying back to the bed now. 

 

Is this can be called Akathisia for sure? Or just restless legs?

 

I am so confused and scared now, what is going on with the meds? Is it the cutting problem or meds itself??? Will my situation worsening?

Is it normal that when this feeling starts, I also feel heightened anxiety and upset stomach? I could barely eat foods and very poor digestion!

Not sure if this was mentioned in the thread. Nexium doubles serum Lexapro in blood. Omeprazole around 40% and protonix the least as they compete for the same enzyme pathway. I would avoid all PPI as I stabilize

My restless legs are toally disappeared today but my akathisia starts very very bad!!! I felt anxiety to the top, despair, hopeless, low mood, give up thoughts, etc... 

 

My goodness I couldn't sleep for whole night, and nothing can calm me down, I can't sit still can't walk too long can't stand for long. 

 

This is the worst Akathisia I have ever experienced. 

 

Why I am feeling this way? Is this caused by this cut? Or Lexapro starts acting worse on me? 

 

By the way, I ate a lot of seafood 3 days ago, I used to intolerate seafood when WD started a year ago. And by the time this intolerable lessoned. Will this cut triggered seafood intolerance again then worsening the Akathisia?

I am now using a mirco scale to cut my lexapro tablet dosage. But I don't know if i am doing right:

 

10mg tablet, I cut 10% this time, should be 9mg, so the tablet weighs 0.130g, so I use scissor to cut the tablet to 0.117g-0.118g. 

 

But I don't know if this is right.

The med weighs 0.130g in 10mg dose.

Your arithmetic a few posts back is good.  If 10 mg active ingredient (mgai) = 130 mg pill weight (mgpw), then 9 mgai = 117 mgpw.

Last week I went throgh the up and down intense legs discomfort and insomnia. Today, things seem settled down a lot. Sleeping is back to normal again and legs feeling turns to mild.

 

I am able to do some house works and driving uber for 1.5 hours. While driving Uber, I noticed the leg restless slightly came back again, so I decided not to push myself too much and go home. 

 

I hope the leg discomfort feeling will go away soon.

Updates:

 

My restless legs were totally gone since mid of last week, which is a very good thing. 

 

My anxiety and morning wake up with OCD thoughts starts since last sunday and keep worsening. 

 

Today I woke up with very bad heart palp, anxiety and OCD thoughts. After an hour got up, my mood was low and despair. 

 

I feel after this 10% cut, I am going back to the starting point of my WD last year or even worse.

 

Anyone can tell will this cut made me back to the Zero or worse?

My restless legs are coming back, which is awful again. Thoughts are bad. 

 

Recently the pattern is like: woke up the worst, anxiety, OCD thoughts and despair. Got up and ate something then turns to better a bit. After 4 hours of taking Lexapro bad again, then night time is fear and anxiety feelings to stop me get to sleep. 

 

I don't really know if 10% cut made this bad or something else?  

 

Any experienced people can tell me what should I do? What will happen if I keep taking 9mg of Lexapro?
