Hope2001
I am mess. I think I react to bp meds. First diovan 80mg-240mg and emconcor 2x1/4 2.75mg. I quit Diovan bc I got reaction and continued just with emconcor. I upped emconcor to one whole 2.75mg. But I got really depressed. And brain fog which makes my life impossible. Dropped emconcor four days ago ct. I am feeling bad nausea, diarhhea, brain fog and depression. Does bisoprolol cause wd? Do I understand correctly that bisoprolol affect central nervous system? Is there any bp drug which doesnt affect to nervous system? I take now 2,5mg ramipril. Hope2001
Blood pressure medication reaction and how to cope high bp without meds I have high blood pressure due to lexapro withdrawal. I have tried to take medication diovan 80mg and emconcor 1,25 mg. I got bad reaction when diovan was updosed to 3x80mg. Stopped that after three weeks and continued with emconcor and upped it to 2.75mg. It didnt help enough, I started cardace 2,5mg. During emconcor use I got depression. My brain slowed. I finally stopped first emconcor 6 days ago ct. I took maybe 5 weeks. I stopped also cardace yesterday bc of side effects headache and depression and confusion. I am so afraid bc i have now constant confusion and brain fog. Can this still be due to these meds? How long can wd from bisoprolol last? During this time i took bp medication i have been in hospital once. I have had to call ambulance twice. I have been on head mri and several ekg. Those are fine. This happened during these meds. I need also help how to cope with blood pressure without medication. I just can tolerate those meds. Hope2001
It seems that everyone else are tolerating bp meds. I have gone through many meds and consider Olmesartan. It shouldnt influence to cns that much. I am hypersensitive. I really hope to find some med I could tolerate. I am lying all the day on the floor bc my bp is so high when sitting or standing. This morning it was 70/116. When i get up it is 94/155 and goes up over 100. My head feels ok and much clearer. Bp meds made brain fog, confusion and depression. I quit ramipril couple days ago. Moderator Emeritus manymoretodays Posted July 16, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 16, 2023 (edited) Hi Hope2001, I merged one of your new topics regarding your BP and BP medications, back here. I'm finding many topics regarding BP's (blood pressures) so will share a few of those for you. You're welcome to post a response in any of the pre-existing topics, in Symptoms and Self Care. And also what Alto said: On 7/13/2023 at 7:17 AM, Altostrata said: I am sorry you are having adverse effects from blood pressure drugs. These drugs may affect the central nervous system, but they are not psychiatric drugs and you are not taking them to treat a psychiatric condition. Nonetheless, they all need to be tapered. We do not offer general medicine advice. Please see your internist to discuss your blood pressure drugs. I'm sure not familiar with the array of BP meds out there now, and yah.......I think you should seek counsel with a doctor on this, and also they may be able to help you with some non-drug techniques to keep your BP in a safe range. Do you do relaxation practices? Stress reduction? Meditation? Daily gentle exercise? Etc? High blood pressure from the drug or withdrawal? Low blood pressure from the drug or withdrawal? Blood Pressure Statistics/History Hypertension I just did a search from my main browser, googled, and even more topics than ^ came up. I simply put in: survivingantidepressants.org blood pressure medications I know we have topics on propranolol, beta blockers and alpha blockers, and then tapering of such as well. See: Important topics in the Tapering Forum and FAQ's scroll down to the heading: TAPERING OFF OTHER COMMON DRUGS I hope you don't have to continue lying on the floor all the time, that doesn't sound too great. It sure sounds like your autonomic nervous system is just off right now. Whether that's due to WD or so many BP drugs on and off I don't know. Dysauonomia(autonomic dysregulation) POTS, syncope, etc. Okay, plenty for you to read if interested and good luck Hope. I sure hope this resolves soon. As explained earlier, if taken every day, blood pressure drugs need to be tapered. You cannot simply quit blood pressure drugs because it is likely you'll get REBOUND high blood pressure. If you have been going on and off blood pressure drugs or taking them irregularly throughout the day, you may be causing your own REBOUND high blood pressure. If you need drugs to control your blood pressure and the ones you take make you feel odd, suggest you talk to your doctor about possibly lower doses to take on a regular daily schedule or milder drugs. Hope2001
My blood pressure readings are like this due to hyperadrenic pots which I got from escitalopram wd. Autonomic nervous system is broken. I will have rehabilitation for that on some point. I have took atenolol couple weeks. It is better than bisoprolol. Not good but better. It makes my mcas worse but i have to take it. My periods are back to normal but since I started atenolol I get pain during periods and mcas gets worse. I hope my nervous system calms down and I get rid of atenolol. 1 Lexapro July 2016 5mg-10mg, August - September 2016 20mg. 20mg from 09/16-03/18. Hope2001
Hello, my situation is still same. Difficult dysautonomia and pots. No bp med has helped me. I need advices or opinions from more experienced people. Could you @Shep please check my historia and give your opinion? I jumped off lexapro 0,02mg/11 at beginning of June. This all bad dysautonomia started at those times. Even after very slow taper. I still have oxazep for the night. Administrator Altostrata Posted December 17, 2023 Administrator Share Posted December 17, 2023 Are you referring to tapering oxazepam? Why do you want to do that? Hope2001
@Altostrata I refer to oxazepam and should I consider to start tapering. My dysautonomia and pots are diffucult and this started during lexapro withdrawal. I assume that it is from that but cant be sure. I havent been tapering oxazepam but I just think that should I? I want to taper it in any case but not sure if it is good to start it yet because my dysautonomia is so difficult. It may make it worse. Administrator Altostrata Posted December 19, 2023 Administrator Share Posted December 19, 2023 You've been taking oxazepam for 7 years, why do you want to taper it while you have antidepressant withdrawal syndrome?
