Moderator LotusRising Posted February 10, 2022 Moderator Share Posted February 10, 2022 @ThatOneGirlStitch Just wanted to jump on quickly and say I totally understand not being able to eat very much and the weight loss that accompanies it. I have struggled since mid-January to get enough food in to sustain me. Some days unable to eat more than a piece of toast. I am down to 108lb from 125 on my 5'7 frame - it's hard to recognize my body when I look at it. More recently, in the last week, my appetite improved and then took another downturn, but I'm hopeful it will return again. Like you, I've also had trouble with incredible amounts of bloating - just seems to come out of nowhere, and completely unrelated to anything that has gone into my body. I try to think of the whole thing as my digestive system rebooting itself. It fires up and then slows down as it's trying to start working properly again. Mentor Greatful Posted February 10, 2022 Mentor Share Posted February 10, 2022 @ThatOneGirlStitch My heart goes out to you❤️ I see by your drug history you had quite the roller coaster of start, stop drugs in the last 1 to 2 years......I am still struggling from my drug roller coaster from last winter..... ThatOneGirlStitch
If someone could please help me with a question. Since I have trouble doing things my mom takes care of my meds. I went to take them today and there was a B12 mixed in. I asked her about it. And she said she has been putting them in there for a long time. I never noticed and A lot of times I have just popped them in my mouth because I am so tired. but I usually look at my med to see that they are all there. and if I see a multi vitamin that day I take it out, because as far as I'm concerned the B12 is not consistently in there. I was told she always puts in and has been for over a month. I only noticed it a handful of times. I'm I going crazy? I have a phobia of pills and think I would have noticed. More importantly do I take them or not? I don't want to switch things up. I'm sensitive and have seen people get messed up by vitamins. I scared to take a multivitamin. It depends on if you have a deficiency. If yes I would supplement. I also think that antioxidants like vitamin C and E could help. I would start at a low dose. Ad's since 2016 (I was 16 then...) Nov 2020 to April 2021 tapering by 15mg every month or so until I reached approximately 50 mg(no w/d symptoms) Since April 2021 tapered once by 5% and once by 10% of the last dose because I'm not stable enough for w/d. Moderator brassmonkey Posted February 16, 2022 Moderator Share Posted February 16, 2022 A nice boring WDnormal is exactly where you want to be. It is a place of stability, which means that your body is working well at processing your reductions. Windows and waves are signs of instability and means that your body is not coping with the changes you are making. Reading about other members having lots of symptoms and problems can make us think that that is the way it is meant to be. But I would much rather have a dull boring WDnormal than have to survive debilitating symptoms. If you are not currently tapering, that is what your signature indicates, then this would be a good time to cautiously start to taper because you are in a nice stable position. 1 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017 "It's also important not to become angry, no matter how difficult life is, because you can loose all hope if you can't laugh at yourself and at life in general."
