@Altostrata I was given lexapro for telling my doctor I get butterflies going to grocery store after being in lockdown so long.

 

I gave up vaping, havent used anything but did put makeup on for first time in 3.5 months. I didnt notice a instant reaction or anything. Do you think this could be causing my nerve pain, itching tingling all over my body? 

 

I put makeup on twice 2 days in a row but these sensations started about 4 days later. (Actually apologises I wore makeup a few times in withdrawl with no reaction) previous to this. I just remembered when I seen my son. 

 

Yeah, I have had MRI scan and seen neurologist and everything was normal. 

 

The pressure in my head symptom is gone completely. 

 

When I was on amtriyline I was suffering severe intrusive thoughts, hallucinations, head pressure and still had akathasia (a terror) brewing in my tummy, that's why my take on reinstatement has been hesitant. The only thing it did was calm me down as it's a sedative to a degree. But that wasnt long lasting before it started to turn.

 

My symptoms all began from the adverse reaction to lexapro and I have so many similar symptoms to people who have suffered adverse reaction.

 

 The only thing I can think of is that this is just more healing and another symptom. As I havent done anything different that hasnt been done before.

 

Also want to say that my reaction to lexapro was extremely severe.

Where is the itching now? Did you put the makeup on your face? Did your face get itchy?

@Altostrata the itching is all over my body, tingling nerve pain all over my body, makes it feel like an itch in the inside

 I had that creepy crawly feeling for months, and I mean months. I finally got some Tea Tree Oil and even shampoo and conditioner containing Tea Tree Oil. I covered my body in it and it actually helped. You might try that and see if it brings you some relief.

Are all your head sensations gone> the squeezing, crushing, burning and all the others are all gone?  Maybe mine are still here because I am still taking the drug Lexapro.  Can you think now?

I've had it the whole time......... I also have the tingling/buzzing in my body, mostly arms and legs, some itching on my face sometimes but I thought that might be from the dry cold weather here.

@Greatful The severe pressure build up has gone if that makes sense. When your brain feels like it's in a balloon.

 

But I still get brain sensations all the time 😔

 

I get the crawling sensations all over my legs, arms, itching too. And its everywhere all over. A constant feeling off crawling everywhere on my body, just tingling or like running tingling, cold spots on my skin.

 

My brain last night felt like an electrical wiring up top and I couldnt even speak properly. 

 

Do you get similar with the tingling?

 

Do you think the drug is causing it? Or is it the tapering? the withdrawls 💞

@Lilmizz21  I will get tingling in the brain and the body.  Sometimes it feels like a buzzing and then other times it feels like prickling/tingling.  Sometimes my brain feels like spots burning or freezing spot ( can't always tell if it is burning or freezing)  I have cold spots that show up in my arms and legs.  Have you had were your veins feel like ice veins  or you are chilled to the bone.......This is crazy stuff I must say.......

Oh yeah the electricity that run through your body and brain.  You can unplug me from the electrical outlet anytime  lol🥴⚡

 

How is the DR and crazy thoughts?   I had a bad case of brain panic and fear in the evening last night,  It got so bad I felt like I could turn into the crazy screaming woman.  I settled for climbing into bed under all my covers/weighted blankets, put on meditation music and just sat in my thoughts for a few hours.  Have you ever just observed your thoughts and not engage in them?

@Altostrata I used to feel like my head was swelling up like a balloon going to explode. I havent had that.

 

I used to have black outs, I havent had that recently.

 

My suicidal impulses which used to feel forced have left also. 

 

But I still have many many symptoms. The main concern is the tingling nerve pain throughout all my body which makes me want to get out of my skin

 

does this pass?

@Greatful I love my weighted blanket it, makes you feel safe doesnt it.

 

My thoughts are often very forced and hard to distract from. At the beginning they used to flood in so rapidly I felt I was going to pass out, luckily I havent had that in quite a while. 

 

Yes I know what you mean with the veins also!! It's all very scary. The DR I dont recognise when I'm in a panic about a certain symptom. Its v strange. It's like adrenaline about the most consuming symptom.

 

When are we getting off this rollercoaster? 😖 I hope its soon!! X

Hey Lilmizz21 I have read your intro and I'm so sorry this happened to you that is honestly crazy. You seem to be staying really positive which is really cool to see and I'm glad you are feeling a little better and your suicidal impulses have gone away because that is some horrific stuff. Hang in there!

Oh yeah I got it bad. And the creepy crawler feeling. I couldn’t scratch my scalp hard enough either. The Tee Tee Oil shampoo and conditioner helped that and the Tee Tree Oil brought relief to my skin. I also used a lot of First Aid Ultra Healing Cream. I bought it online.

Most people on groups with stinging nerve pain have it for years. The stinging all over, creepy crawling, itching.

 

I dont know I guess I'm looking for comfort. I couldnt have this for years and lead a normal life, it really is insufferable hope yous dont mind me reaching out.

Not good 😔 my whole body feels like every nerve is stung by nettles, literally like its constantly rolling round a bee hive.

 

Along with burning arms, legs, back and creepy crawlies sensations.

this is the pits isn't it😖  You should connect with lenavikansheder,   she is struggling with burning skin and electricity in her body.....I tell you it still amazes me the amount of destruction these drugs do to us.. 

How are the brain issues/ drdp doing....Intrusive thoughts?

It's sad cause the forced SI impulses left only to be left with torture inside the body. It's like it's like "hey we will take this but give you another just as bad" 

 

Defo at my rock bottom at the minute and the pain is just indescribable 😪

@Altostrata hello just wanted advice. I seen doctor about my neuropathy issues, she has referred me to neurologist. 

 

she has also perscribed gabapentin for nerve pain and an anti histamine. 

 

can I get your opinion on this for someone in withdrawl, whether my nervous system will regulate itself eventually or will these aid?

 

do they effect us chemically in the brain?

Do you think you could go without?

 lenavikansheder it doesn't look like she is getting much relieve on gabapentin.

Is this something that you will have to taper later.......Do your research and learn about it then you can make a informed decision.

I really know how hard wd is.  There is no quick fix......I have no idea if this gabapentin is effect when it is WD withdrawal........I'm sure  Alta has more knowledge on this then me.....

Gabapentin has poor results for treating nerve pain and can be horrible to withdraw from.

What did you decide to do about the Gabapentin?  Not that it is any of my business 😏

I wish I wasn't on anything and riding out the storm.......I still have to taper 4 drugs 

Oh man every time I look at that it makes me sad and mad that I am in this spot.

@Greatful funny how things work, the day I got it, that evening the nerve pain settled were it wasnt extreme so I havent taken it.

 

The thing is my brain tells me things are happening in my body and because I'm so muddled I dont know if they are or not.

 

"You wanna get our of your skin"

"Your itchy"

"Your riddled with nerve pain"

 

But I still feel stinging, burning and cold spots all over my body

 

But the nerve pain was so so extreme.

If you just can hold out a little longer you should be able to learn to tell yourself that these are just the stupid thoughts from the  effects of the  drug  lol

Did you ever read the story What's happening in your brain"  

My brain tries to tell me a lot of things 😬 Some are not very nice either 😅

You know that you are not alone with crazy wd/adverse affects from these drugs.......

How are the hallucinations and DR DP going? 

Did you ever look at Baylissa Frederick website?

In the back of her book Recovery and Renewal  she has a list of symptoms, I saw a few of yours and mine  lol... She has success stories in the back to.

Sorry coming on looking for reassurance. I'm on my 5th month and just keep getting worse with more and more symptoms.

What do you mean worse?  As you are getting different symptoms are others getting less troublesome or gone?  Are you still getting small peaks of window?  I would think that 5 months can still be in the thick of WD.

You may not see the small changes but they are happening😊

and my SI has come back stronger than ever. 

 

I thought I'd see slight improvement by 5 months but seem to be fighting harder than ever 😪

I know how hard this is believe me.....You have seen things lighten up a few times so hold on to that... The physical things added on are just your brain working on another spot.  Hard to really comprehend the magnitude on how these drugs can affect in our bodies........It is not uncommon for things to change.  I started out last summer with weak muscles then I started to get icy veins and cold muscle now they are getting sore and achy at times.......Sometimes weak, sore at the same time? Kind of crazy but my arm are the worst, legs yes but not as much....lol

 

Are you able to get out at all?  How is the weather there in England?  I live in Minnesota US and we have been getting some pretty cold weather. And we have snow too...... 

 

Do you have any support around you L?
