Momoffour: Struggling Post-Sertraline CT

Went to sleep around 8;30, woke up at 11:30ish,2:30, 3:30, 4:30 heart racing hard to fall back asleep but did at some point. Up at 5:30

 

5:30am shaky, weird vision, collar bone pressure. 

 

6:00am breakfast Cheerios oat milk. 

Same as above. 

6:10 birth control 

 

7:00 laying here, tired of course feel weird and shaky every time I try to sleep and wake  up weird vision. Drank a bottle of water. 

 

8:00am weird vision, a bit shaky, brain fog 

 

9:00 am same as above drank a smoothie and cold with chills collar bone pressure 

 

10:00am lunch grilled chicken salad same as dinner last night still weird vision, brain fog, cold, collar bone pressure little shaky and weak  Really happy I haven't had so much anxiety today yet 🤞🏻

11:00 am 2 mg sertraline. Same as above 

 

12:00pm did dishes, feeling even better somehow although not 100%, still some inner shaky, brain fog, weird vision. 

 

1:30pm still feeling pretty good but not symptom free. Muscles are a bit achey which in turn makes me feel weak slight head ache off and on. Weird vision isn't so bad 

 

2:00pm same as above. Some brain zaps/brain anxiety

 

3:00pm ate a cheeseburger because I was starving and we aren't at home. Vision weird (though starting to think it's part of a mental thing) brain fog, gassy, a bit overwhelmed feeling 

 

4:00pm same as above 

 

5:00pm feeling better, brain fog, gassy, vision a bit weird. Some collar bone pressure. 

 

5:40 drank some body armour made the head and vision stuff a bit intense but I also drank a ton of water. 

 

6:00pm brain fog, gassy, weird vision, still so very happy the doom feeling anxiety has either been at a minimum today or is gone I am praying it does not come back. 

 

6:30pm ate a snack 

Anxiety but barely same as above. 

 

7:00pm no anxiety, but still feeling hopeless and crying. (guess I need to at least once a day) weird vision, brain fog. .

 

8:00pm brain fog, weird vision, tired. Collar bone chest pressure

Today has overall been a decent day. Hope it just keeps getting better. Probably will lay down soon 

 

8:20 same as above laying down. Today was pretty good. Hope tomorrow is just as good If not better.

I lost all my notes for today. But it has been hell. Worse anxiety today, weird vision, heart racing better after meds. But now extremely weird vision. I'll continue notes from 12:30. Also my sleep was crap last night woke up at 11pm and could not go back to sleep til almost 1:00 am woke up every 30 minutes after that. Got up at 5:40

1:00pm anxiety crying, collar bone pressure. Weird vision, brain fog, light sensitivity

 

2:00pm less anxiety, weird vision, brain fog light sensitivity

2:30 felt a bit better 

 

3:00pm collar bone pressure, ear and rib hurt, weird vision, light sensitivity

 

4:00pm weird vision, brain zaps/brain anxiety, trying hard to watch a movie with my daughter. A bit nauseated. Light sensitivity

 

5:00pm dinner spaghetti. A bit anxious and weird vision. Light sensitivity

After dinner just not feeling good at all again. 

 

6:20pm weird vision, brain fog, crying begging for relief, restless, anxiety, 

 

7:00pm finallly feeling better. Hoping I sleep better tonight. Weird vision, brain fog 

 

8:00pm tired gonna lay down and sleep. Just weird vision, brain fog

Please include the time o'clock you take sertraline in your daily notes, with the dosage. Please post 24 hours at a time, such as 8 a.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday.

Went to bed fell asleep pretty quick. Woke up at 11,2,3,4, up at 5:20

 

5:20 head hurts,weird vision, shaky, headache 

6:00am same as above ate Cheerios and oat milk

6:15 birth control. 

7:00am same as above anxiety some nausea 

 

8:00am same as above 

8:50am ate some yogurt

Still weird vision, headache, 

 

10:00am same as earlier and anxiety  ate a turkey sandwich. Drank some orange juice. 

 

11:00am 2 mg sertraline feel somewhat better headache 

11:20 tired. And headache weird vision.

11:40am same as above and anxiety    

 

12:30 still the same. Collar bone pressure. Eat more yogurt. 

 

1:00 feel better. Weird vision, headache. Some brain zaps/brain anxiety. 

 

2:00pm collar bone pressure, brain anxiety/zaps, some anxiety. Headache 

2:45 same as above and nausea. 

 

4:30pm still headache weird vision, legs hurt 

 

5:00pm eating oatmeal for dinner same as above walked up the stairs can't breathe racing heart 

 

6:00pm weird vision, arm vibrating. 

 

7:00pm weird vision, achey body, brain anxiety/zaps, anxiety 

 

8:00pm not tired but still gonna lay down soon and try to sleep. Weird vision, brain fog, kind of itchy 

 

8:30pmish fell asleep 

11:30pm wake up go back to sleep 

2:30am wake up go back to sleep had a really weird nightmare 

4:30am wake up go back to sleep 

5:30am awake and up weird vision, shaky a bit, fast heart beat,  bowel movement 

 

6:00am oatmeal for breakfast take birth control anxiety, weird vision, shaky, fast heart beat 

 

7:00am weird vision, still anxiety. 

 

8:00 am same

Good luck with the updose. I hope it works for you. If things are that bad it could be the right thing to so...I've done it myself. I'm no expert in these things but the advice on here seems to be to stay at whichever dose you decide on for a good while, to avoid too much stress on your nervous system. You're very early in the withdrawal/healing process so please be ultra gentle with yourself x

@Altostrata I'm still doing my notes but feel sooo much worse and its not calming down after taking 3 mg today same symptoms but all very heightened. should i stay here still?

I cannot interpret your report of symptoms without seeing those daily notes. I have to ask "how do you feel before and after taking 3mg sertraline?" Please save me the trouble and volunteer this information.

 

It will take at least 4 days for any dosage change to fully register.

@Altostrata my daily notes are there. This is the first day at 3 mg and today I feel even worse after.

Help me out, I have RSI and every time I have to repeat stuff, it hurts more.

11:00am 3mg sertraline. Brain anxiety/zaps weird vision, cold, brain fog

Did you get brain zaps after taking 2mg sertraline? You've never mentioned this in your daily notes.

 

What are the new symptoms you get after taking 3mg sertraline?

@Altostrata No new symptoms yet. Just heightened ones. And I got them after I reinstated. I've just been calling them brain anxiety.

@Altostrata They feel like something is tickling my brain and anxiety only in my brain. It's a lot less intense now when it happens...  I've explained this after I first reinstated if you go back. Yes the anxiety calmed down just not the weird vision and brain fog they never go away it seems just less intense at times.

I'll stay at 3 I am just being a chicken. But I have to feel worse in order to get better. So I'll just keep going and do as you tell me.

After you took 3mg, you felt some activation, but it calmed down? After how many hours? You feel better now?

 

You mentioned this reminds you of drug startup effects. Yes, that's what it sounds like. We would expect that you feel a bit different if you increased the dosage. That's the purpose of the dosage increase, isn't it?

 

If I were you, I'd stick with 3mg over at least 4 days. I have to ask you again not to get alarmed over every little thing. Stop catastrophizing and adding your anxiety to slight bumps in the road. You may need to work with a psychotherapist on this.

@Altostrata My head is always like this, i never feel better anymore and my vision is always weird, my anxiety did calm down about an hour or more ago but not my head feeling like this, it always feels intense over time since reinstating.

I have been working on that, i cant even see a therapist right now in this state i have found people to talk to and even though my head feels gone and vision is weird i have been trying to distract myself

What I'm interested in is CHANGES in your symptom pattern since you increased to 3mg, which was yesterday. It will take at least 4 days for this increase to take full effect.

 

We understand that you feel awful every day, you do not have to repeatedly emphasize that. Please focus on reporting NEW symptoms after a dosage change, not your old symptoms.

 

I'm sure you can understand why we want this information, to see what effect the drug change has had. Yet you are continually complaining about symptoms that haven't changed. Nothing is going to happen instantly, we expect gradual changes, and you should, too.

 

Help us out, stop posting continuously about old symptoms as though they're new catastrophes.

1:00pm anxiety calmed down, just intense weird vision, brain fog 

Ate a few bites of yogurt. 

 

2:00pm same as above collar bone pressure 

 

3:00pm weird vision, "brain fog or feeling brain damaged is how I've explained before, some anxiety. 

 

4:00pm anxiety, feel psychotic, restless, nauseated, collar bone pressure, 

 

4:45pm feel better except the head and vision body is kind of sore and weak . Hungry. Eating pizza for dinner. 

 

5:30pm anxiety trying to come back, collar bone pressure and same as above .

 

6:30pm anxiety, same as above light sensitivity

 

7:00pm anxiety finally calmed down, that brain damaged feeling, weird vision and also hard to focus my vision. Praying I can sleep tonight. 

 

8:00am same as above. Gonna lay down. Hope to sleep 🤞🏻🙏🏻

 

8:15am fell asleep

9pm woke up fell back asleep

10pm woke up fell back asleep 

11pm woke up fell back asleep

12:30 woke up had a harder time falling back asleep and the rest is a blur but I know I woke up a lot. 

4:30 woke up tried to sleep some more up at 4:50am shaky, weird vision, collar bone/ chest pressure 

 

5:45am breakfast a piece of toast 

6:00am birth control same as above some anxiety.  

6:30am trying to get my daughter ready for school. Shaky, cold, vision weird still, bit of nausea. 

 

7:30am still shaky, muscle tension in legs. Vision is weird still but a lot less 

 

8:00 did some laundry same as earlier bowel movement

 

9:00am been trying to sweep and clean up my house. Shaky, muscle tension in back stomach,  and legs, body weak, some anxiety. And a bit restless

 

9:30am weird vision, brain fog heavy right now, cold, muscle tension still in back, shoulders stomach area and legs 

 

10:00am lunch... pb&j mostly muscle tension and a bit of weird vision. Some anxiety but not as bad as usual

 

10:30 anxiety trying to ramp up, weird vision, brain fog ramped up, some brain anxiety, popping in left temple just generally feeling awful again. 

 

11:00 am 3mg sertraline same as above not much anxiety but I'm starting to wonder if this is even "brain fog" but more like overwhelming head feeling where everything is just overwhelming

 

11:30am feel better, collar bone pressure, some muscle tension, brain fog (but like I said more of an overwhelmed head feeling).. some brain anxiety.

 

12:30pm weird vision, brain fog some muscle tension in back, but I can manage most of these even when intense and sucks as long as it's not the restless anxiety or brain anxiety 

 

1:pm anxiety, brain anxiety weird vision, see a faint kaleidoscope in vision.
