Moderator Emeritus Carmie Posted April 8 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 8 Dear @LostInCanada Thinking of you and hoping this wave you’re going through won’t last too long. Here is something that made me laugh from the second novel in the series. You have to get to know the characters, but Joyce is a hoot: ” There is an animal rescue centre just across the border in Sussex, and they have all sorts there. The usual cats and dogs, but then also donkeys and rabbits and guinea pigs. I’ve never thought a guinea pig might need rescuing before. We all need it once in a while, and I don’t see why guinea pigs should be any different. They eat guinea pigs in Peru, did you know? It was on MasterChef the other day. They mentioned it, they didn’t actually one.” 🤣 💛💛💛 1 Seroquel. 2019:➡️ From 7.25mg to 5.80mg✔️ 2020➡️From 5.60 to 4.80✔️ 2021➡️From 4.60 to 4.0✔️ 2022➡️From 3.95 to 3.55✔️2023➡️ Jan 26=3.50✔️March 17=3.45✔️ June12=3.40✔️ July30=3.35✔️ Sep14=3.30✔️ Oct31=3.25✔️ 2024➡️Jan15=3.20✔️ Feb19=3.15✔️ March26=3.10✔️This is NOT medical advice.Consult your doctor. Kaylaq
Hanging in there! Thanks for asking 😊 too much time on my hands though 🤪 1 On Venlafaxine for 30 years, 150mg 2018 first tapered, over 2 months, horrible crashed, reinstated 3 months later February 2023, tapering again, every 4 weeks reduced by 50% 150mg down to 37:5mg June 2023, from 37.5, broke open capsule, started tapering by one bead at a time every 2 weeks August, 2023 stopped last bead. Nov, 2023, started Saint John Wort, 600mg, 3x a day = 1800mg - reduced 1 capsules 300mg on Feb 15, 2024 Supplements, magnesium bisglycinate, B complex, multivitamin, Omega 3 complex, Vitamin D3, digestive enzymes also, use L-Theanine, occasionally natural GABA, - stopped this in Jan 2024 For H.Pylori- Manuka Honey, 850mgo, Mastica Chios gum, Kefir, & probiotics Link to comment

Does the timeframe of the wave fit with that reduction I think it might. I've been having some symptoms that seem more withdrawal related than wave related. I remember reading something Altostrata said.... That it is not all about SERT. So I am wondering if the latest drop despite being so small, just put me under some threshold that wasn't affected from previous drops. It may explain why despite careful tapers we sometimes hit a wall or have an uptick in symptoms. Probably every body knows this already and I am just late to the party. I've been having some symptoms that seem more withdrawal-related than wave related Acknowledging that neither waves nor WD symptoms are nice, I take it as a positive when I can associate a manageable uptick in symptoms with a reduction in dose. It tells me it's just part of the (not-so-nice) process. I'm obviously talking about a small uptick in WD symptoms...not the WD symptoms people experience from a CT. I was rather agitated yesterday, but the time frame of those feelings fits in with my recent 2% reduction...so my wife was extra gracious to me, and I just tried to accept it and go with the flow (feeling much better today 😊: day 4 of the reduction), 6 hours ago, LostInCanada said: I remember reading something Altostrata said.... That it is not all about SERT. I remember reading the same comment from Alto - SERT is only part of the equation - and I found that really helpful to reflect on. 6 hours ago, LostInCanada said: So I am wondering if the latest drop despite being so small, just put me under some threshold that wasn't affected from previous drops. I reckon you're onto something, LostinCanada. It makes sense, given the experience of many others, that the lower we go, the more challenging it can be for some of us, so the slower we go. 6 hours ago, LostInCanada said: Probably every body knows this already and I am just late to the party.
