WINDOW!

I had my first window! From 4 pm till now.

It's 11:00 pm here and I don't want to go to bed.

But, I'm exhausted! Hate for it to end.

But, I can look back on this post.

90% window.

Symptoms dry mouth, dry lips, pains in my head, pain in hip, bruxism, trouble remembering things and I even watched tv!

Woot!

Window closed!

Thursday around 5pm, I started feeling 90%. That night I slept 7 hours straight. Friday I felt 90% all day. Managed to get quite a lot done! Finally was able to sleep around midnight. Only slept for 3.5 hours and woke up back to square one.

While I appreciate the break, it just so disheartening to find my self back here.

Thanks for the support,

Tgirl,

Thank you for your support in my introductions and topics. You are right that although a window brings hope, it is disheartening when the waves reappear.

Stay the course! You will stabilize. I hope there are more and more windows coming your way!!

Tgirl,

Thanks for stopping by my thread!  Much appreciated!!! :D

Just read through your whole thread.  Wow!  You've been through the ringer.  I'm glad to see that you had a window last week.  That is an awesome sign and something to hang your hat on while you ride the waves.

If you haven't taken the time to read your thread from first post to last in a while, I would encourage you to do so.  You will see the signs of healing in your posts.  Sometimes it is hard to notice them while you are so close, but the words are a clear indication of you having gone from panic to coping.  As Dave said in an earlier post on the thread, you will come out of this stronger on the other side.

Thoughts with you, tgirl.

Sertraline 50mg and Clonazapam .375mg from 2000 -- symptoms of dizziness Spring 2012

increased to .5 Clonazapam and 100mg Sertraline -- no improvement

Benzo microtaper from November 2012 to November 2014 (followed benzo sites "taper benzo first")

Started Sertraline taper in December 2014 cut by 25mg to 75mg; 62.5mg 1/1/15 and 50mg on 2/1/15

Held at 50mg through April 5 to use liquid
Reduced dosage in 10% or less drops from 50mg to 25mg -- at single tablet of 25mg on 10/5/15

Transitioned to all liquid for accuracy while tapering -- Horrible insomnia -- back to 25mg liquid and held until October 1, 2016

10/16 -- 11/18 tapered very slowly to 10.6mg.  No real improvement and never really stable so updosed to 12.5mg (1/2 a pill) for convenience and long hold.

After 8+ months of holding with no noticeable improvement decided to add .4ml of liquid Prozac (about 1.5mg) to see if that improves the situation

I see in your signature that you are taking curcumin. I have recently looked into that and was wondering how you came across it, what supplement you take (do you take it as a powder or ready made capsuls) and how has it worked for you.

Also thanks for stopping by in my thread.

  • 2,5 years of slowly tapering down Cymbalta from 60 mg. Then tried going from 8,44 mg to 1 mg in 8 days. (April 1st 2015). That's when the real hell started. Reinstated. Didn't help. I was added Ativan (2 mg 2 times a day for relentless akathisia that started with jumping Cymbalta). For years had been taking Zopitin 7,5 mg and Stilnox 10 mg for I had not been able to sleep naturally since the 1st day I started Cymbalta). Used to take Xanax occasionally.
  • All of the above were stopped cold turkey when I was hospitalized in the beginning of May 2015.
  • Prior to that I have been on and off the whole spectrum of different AD-s for 15 years (since I was 17).

My introduction.

Tapering:

  • Olanzapine (starting point 2,1 mg): Jan 2016  /---/ April 2018 0 mg. (From 2,1 mg to 0 mg in 1y 3mo).
  • Diazepam (starting at 5 mg) : switching to liquid May 2018;  4,6 mg (June 2018) /---/ 0 mg (Feb 2020) (From 10 to 5 - nobody knows, from 5 to 0 in 1 y 10 mo)
  • Valdoxan (starting at 25 mg): switching to liquid (Feb 2019) /---/ 0 mg (July 2020)

HI, Tgirl.

I have been taking a product by stopagingnow.com called curcumin 2X which has a high bioavailability.

I just heard about a product that has gotten really good reviews I just ordered which is linked to Amazon below:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQFS4KO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

All the research on curcumin has been so good that I figured I'd try it as an anti-inflammatory.  I haven't noticed any adverse effects so....

@andy,

Definatly let me know how you get along with the cur cumin. I am curious to know why you are taking it? Are you having inflammation?

I touched on the link, but it didn't tell me much about it.

So keep me posted. My toe joints even hurt today. Lol

Tgirl,

Long term inflammation has been found to be the core of so many chronic diseases from CVD to Alzheimer's to cancer. Given my painful hips and all the positives about curcumin, if it doesn't cause you any issues in w/d, I can't see area son NOT to be taking it.

Supplements, Magnesium, D3, Omega 3, curcumin, Valerian, 81mg Aspirin, L-Theanine, Vit. C,

If you're getting 4- 5 hours sleep.  Celebrate.  !.  You're doing well  !   I'm sure you will stabilize.  You're very lucky you are " tapering".

Tgirl thank you for stopping by my thread, praying for you to have lots of healing.

Spring of 1998 place on birth control pills for irregular bleeding, high testosterone and one ovarian cyst, stayed on until April 2004, told to take hormone holiday, conceived first son 4 months later-VERY BIG SUPRISE, was told wouldn't be able to have childern or would need reproductive doctor to help. Got pregnant again 2006 with second son easily, then was on/off birthcontrol again until October 2011, concieved 3rd son in October 2011(tried many times to get pregant again when 2nd child was close to 2yrs, hormone problems started again after 2nd child, along with thyroid enlargement.

Spring of 2001 celexa 10 mgs-rx'd by pcp for complaints of chronic fatigue, irritability and weight gain, stayed on until June 2005, switched to Lexapro 20mgs for PPD, stayed on Lexapro 6-7 months, couldn't afford to see psyh dr. and Lexapro, saw PCP switched back to 20mgs celexa in 2007, remained on until November 2011, was c/t off due to 3rd pregnancy, baby had umbilical cord defect, seemed ok during pregnancy, except for crying jags here and there. Our miracle baby was born July 20th 2012, healthy except with reflux. One month later the anxiety, restlessness, horrible crying, insomnia and the deepest depression ever. That started the psyh drug nightmare-benzo's,antidepressants, sleeping pills, mood stablizers. Nothing help made me worse, doctors just kept changing the meds frequently. 4 mental health hospitalizations, rapid detox off benzos Jan 2013, horrible withdrawal and still suffering withdrawal symptoms NO ONE BELIEVES ME, I feel like ive been on one consistant drug withdrawal for the past 2 years

January 2014 slow titrate up of lexapro to 20 mgs-horrible side effects!!, was just rapidly taper by current pysh off to pursade me to try an MAOI-no way!!! Was told should consider ECT

Tgirl,

OK, you've been hanging out there.  I'll take a shot.  I did some research and came up with the following article regarding psych drugs and dentistry.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2533641/

I think the antibiotic should be okay.  I have not seen anything that suggests that clindamycin has an adverse interaction with remeron.

As far as epinephrine, while the article I linked above refers to interactions with MAOI and TCA, but does NOT refer to SSRIs, I would probably err on the side of caution with respect to using it during the procedure.  What, if any, alternatives are there?

Hope this helps.

Good luck, Tgirl.

Andy

I'm so sorry you feel so poorly. I hope things will begin to ease up a bit for you. It's so hard, the waiting. I totally understand your weariness and frustration. I think it's perfectly normal to feel that way. And, I know there is a point at which self care is near impossible because of being so uncomfortable. You will pull through this. You are strong enough to do this, even if you don't feel like you are.
